From a Talentless nobody to An SSS Class Dragon-Chapter 199: The Journey Through The First Realm
It took some time but it wasn’t too bad to see some of the land around us. Lilly was still leading the way. Everyone seems to be on guard as well, I couldn’t really blame them either.
Walking through unknown lands is always going to be a good reason to stay on guard. Velia and Lilly are the most experienced when it comes down to being in another world or realm.
I don’t really consider the towers to be along those lines since it wasn’t the same in the slightest.
"This should be the place." Lilly speaks up while pointing towards the church like building in front of us.
A giant run down looking church was all that stood before us, windows were busted out, walls seem to be falling apart, and the door was wide open.
This is the type of place you’d expect to find in some horror movie or some sort of horror novel.
"Might as well go inside the place." I suggest.
"Of course." Lilly agrees before walking up the steps.
Everyone follows behind her as we enter the run down church. As we head inside I can see lots of old seats that people definitely haven’t sat at in quite some time.
The whole place was quite empty with no real indication that anyone is even here anymore after however long has passed.
"What is it that we are looking for here exactly Lilly?" Aria asks with a bit of confusion in her voice.
"There is a woman who usually resides within this church. She is the bearer of Light. Someone who could definitely help us on our journey here in Ashline." Lilly answers while looking around the room.
The room itself was huge with a lot of empty seats, books scattered across the floor, and a podium towards the front.
I don’t really know who this person is that Lilly is talking about but I guess she believes that she could help us. That is the most important part of this whole place.
We followed her here because she knows someone that we can trust in this realm.
The demons will definitely be out for blood once they discover we aren’t all demons like them. So it would be good to have another demon who can guide us through everything.
I still don’t even know what I’m looking for exactly. The short answer would be the monarch who is within these realms but I know that’s not going to be easy.
Some stuff is easy while other stuff is a huge pain in the ass.
Lilly does seem to have a pretty good idea with finding this light bearer. I’m sure she’ll be quite useful to us on this journey.
She might even be the best person for us to get through this place in one piece. Not that I really know what to expect here myself since I’m not technically there.
Yeah, you get to see everything through my eyes. It isn’t that great in my honest opinion but there isn’t a whole lot of options for us to go with.
We’ve been fighting everything in my realm when there’s a lot more to it than that. The demons were also experiencing something similar with the monarchs based on what an angel told me in the tower.
The demon behind everything is being puppeted by a monarch in the last demon realm.
Killing that monarch will get rid of a lot of problems that the demons have within these realms. Some have already been trying to fight back against the sovereign I believe he was called.
It just doesn’t seem like they’ll be the ones to handle the situation.
Guess it is good that you are here then.
It’s good for the most part... I still have a lot of issues that are affecting me from the tower. My emotions are all over the place while I also still feel the ruthless side of me peaking out from the corners.
I’ve changed a lot more than I can truly admit to anyone. The girls would be just as shocked if I showed that side of me again.
Are you sure you didn’t leave it behind in the tower?
It definitely came with me. I’ve been that way since I returned and I don’t think it’ll ever be the same. The abyss has also been shaping me more and more.
"We can close the front doors and wait for a little while." Lilly says loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Luckily I already closed them." Ghost responds with a calm tone.
"Leaving them open would give us an opportunity to be ambushed." Aria chimes in.
Velia took a seat towards the front of the room. "I wouldn’t mind getting to kill some demons." She speaks up with a bit of disappointment in her voice.
"Honestly I’d prefer not to kill a whole lot of demons when we are after someone specific." I respond with more of a serious tone.
"Yeah. Yeah." Velia replies before crossing her arms.
The others had a bit of a chat for a little while as we waited for someone to show up. It was quite peaceful for most of the time we spent in the church.
No other demons showed up while we sat here waiting for the woman to show up that Lilly mentioned. The bearer of Light that has yet to give us any sort of signs that she actually exists.
That was until I finally heard footsteps from the front of the room, sort of behind the podium itself. After a few moments I could see a woman wearing grey robes with some sort of priest like garb draping over her chest.
Long black hair went down along her back, two horns came out from both sides of her head, and she seemed to be wearing some sort of blindfold.
She gave off quite the ominous feeling for someone who is supposed to be on our side here.
