From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!-Chapter 46 - 28: Don’t Fall for Me—I’m Just a Legend (Part 2)
After a short break, the second wave of enemies respawned. This 100% pain simulation mode is really twisted, defeating one wave of enemies only for a second, stronger one to appear, twice the number of the first!
The virtual combat in the gravity training room is different from the virtual web’s mode. Virtual combat is with real people fighting against virtually projected enemies, where death is impossible, but you can feel the pain of injuries to train your real body. Meanwhile, in virtual web battles, it’s your virtual projection fighting against other web avatars. In terms of training effect, virtual combat is indeed superior.
Su Jiameng struggled in her one-against-eight match, her left arm was judged to be completely severed... When that virtual figure’s weapon passed through her left arm, the watching officers all shuddered, feeling like their own left arms hurt too %>_<%
Now it’s one against sixteen, which is the limit of this body. Su Jiameng panted heavily, returning the hilt of the laser particle sword to its place, enduring at least an hour of severe bodily pain. In her previous one-against-eight, she lost a left arm, and in this one-against-sixteen, the injuries increased—thrice on both legs, once from left shoulder to right waist, four times on the back...
Looking at the summary and scores given by the gravity training room, Su Jiameng couldn’t help but twitch her mouth. If this were outside the gravity training room, such severe injuries would have been fatal long ago. Fighting with virtual opponents is indeed a life-or-death struggle; otherwise, you’d end up dying from pain.
She turned off the triple gravity of the training room and casually grabbed a clean towel to drape around her neck, "Is there any place to shower around here?" She was drenched in sweat, like she had just been pulled out of the water.
The robot respectfully presented Su Jiameng’s belongings and said in a cold electronic voice, "Please follow me."
On the poor planet, due to water restrictions, she couldn’t take a proper shower and always felt a sour and foul smell on herself. But now, there was no need to worry about running out of water for a shower. Humming a little tune, she took out her two eggs, and applied a lightly floral-scented body wash, scrubbing and cleaning them before soaking again in the nutrient liquid.
An hour later... Su Jiameng finally dressed in a clean cross-collared training robe, slung the two parcels on her back, and handed her dirty clothes to the cleaning service robot. Her washed hair was already blow-dried and fixed onto her head with an iron chopstick.
Watching Su Jiameng walk away as if no one else was around, the observing officers were silently tearing up. How the hell can a woman take such an impossibly long shower? And after such intense training, how can this maniac still walk around as if nothing happened? They had made bets that this woman wouldn’t handle such intense training and would collapse in the bath!
"The house wins it all!" said one officer, laughing and earning quite a number of credit points.
Su Jiameng hadn’t enjoyed such a comfortable shower in a long time, leisurely showering for half an hour, then soaking for another half, until her two eggs absorbed a full hour’s worth of nutrient liquid, only then slowly ending her enjoyment.
Beep beep beep... Another call from the squad’s friend group. Su Jiameng, with a towel around her neck, sat cross-legged on a chair in the lounge area, also asking a robot to make her a freshly squeezed juice. Her two eggs and parcels rested on the chair next to her, appearing relaxed and content, giving many observers a mild stomachache.
Why does this woman act so naturally in someone else’s territory, as if she owns the place!!!!
Opening the squad’s group chat, Su Jiameng saw that K3 and the others were urgently looking for her. She sent a query, wanting to know what was happening, only to find all three of them saying in unison, "Quick, go check the forum post!"
Ugh~~(╯﹏╰)b, seriously, couldn’t they just tell her directly? Now she had to go to the forum and read posts, which was super troublesome. Given their urgency, like ants on a hot pan, despite her confusion, Su Jiameng still followed their advice to check it out.
The forum layout didn’t seem off; she hesitated a moment, clicked on that challenge post, then flipped from the last page to the front... One page, two pages, three pages... She finally found the issue on the seventh page from the end, which was over two hundred pages from the start...
