Chapter 12: The Path to Strength
After their bath, Dani sat on his bed, lost in thought.
Now that Leena had fully given her heart to him, what came next?

He remembered how hard she had struggled in the novel—how she had clawed her way to strength, fighting to be recognized in a world that despised her very existence.
But now, things were different.
She had him.
She had warmth, love, and happiness—things she never had in the original story.
And that was exactly why she might not reach her full potential.
If she never experiences that pain, will she still become as strong as before?
Dani sighed. He had to make sure she reached her full potential, but in a way where she didn't have to suffer like in the novel.
I know what to do.
With his mind made up, he left his room and walked to Leena's.
A Fear She Never Knew She Had
Leena's ears twitched as she heard the door open, and when she saw Dani standing there, she immediately brightened.
"You're here!" she said excitedly, tail swaying. "Aren't you busy?"
Dani chuckled. "Busy? Me? I may be a prince, but I'm just some extra prince. Everyone will forget about me eventually. I'll inherit some small land, rule it peacefully, and live a normal life."
Leena frowned. "No, you won't."
Dani raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And why not?"
She crossed her arms. "What if someone tries to take your territory? Or worse, kill you?"
Dani shrugged. "Then I die."
The moment he said that, Leena's smile vanished. Her ears drooped, and a flicker of fear crossed her face.
A sudden flashback played in her mind—her parents, their warmth, their love. She had once been happy, surrounded by people who cared for her.
Then they were gone.
And she was alone.
Hated.
Living a life filled with regret.
Until Dani came.
Until he gave her warmth again—treating her even better than her own parents had.
And now, he was talking about dying?
No... No, I can't lose him too.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she suddenly lunged forward, wrapping her arms tightly around him.
"No!" she sobbed. "I won't let you die! I won't let anyone harm you! Please... please don't ever leave me again!"
Dani felt her body trembling against him.
He hadn't expected her to react this way, but maybe... this was for the best.
Placing his hands on her cheeks, he gently wiped away her tears.
"Hey, my stupid cat," he said softly. "That's all in the future. At least five or ten years from now. Don't worry so much."
Leena sniffled, still holding onto him.
Dani smiled and continued, "Besides, you know how influential my mother and brother are. They love me too much to let anything happen to me. So don't worry."
But Leena only tightened her grip around him, saying nothing.
Dani sighed, rubbing her back gently.
I didn't plan for this, but... this is good. If Leena wants to be strong for me, that means she will still grow.
Because no matter how peaceful things seemed now, Dani knew the future.
And the future was darker than hell.
The First Step to Power
After a long silence, Leena finally pulled away, looking up at him with determined eyes.
"Dani," she said. "I want to get stronger."
Dani blinked. "Huh?"
"Tell me where the training ground is," she insisted.
Dani frowned. "Leena, you don't have to do anything. You—"
"This isn't for you," she cut him off. "I want to get stronger for myself." She clenched her fists. "So please... show me."
Dani studied her for a moment before smiling.
"Alright. Follow me."
The Training Ground
Dani led her to his personal training ground. It wasn't some luxurious, grand space—just a large, open area with sturdy flooring and enough room for movement.
Leena looked around, slightly unsure.
"What do I even start with...?" she muttered.
Dani, however, already knew the answer.
"Leena, you're part cat. Your body is naturally athletic, and you have incredible reflexes."
She looked at him, surprised.
"Your main strength is speed."
Leena's ears perked up, and she nodded, listening closely.
Dani grinned.
"Let's begin."
