A blade of light cut through the air, instantly severing "Quan Jin’s" arm. Demonic Qi flew everywhere.
All strength left Sang Luo’s body, and she collapsed into the arms of the newly arrived Minos. Clutching her neck like a drowning fish, she couldn’t stop coughing.
A golden light emerged from his fingertips and swept over her body, causing the discomfort to vanish. Minos chided her in a low voice, "You still came."
"Quan Jin is my Beast Husband. I couldn’t just watch him die. You would help me..."
’She knew he would come.’
Minos reached out and brushed his hand over her red, tear-filled eyes. "Alright."
’He didn’t mind her scheming.’
’He was willing to fulfill her wish and clear away any and all obstacles for her.’
A golden scepter appeared in Minos’s palm. He drew a rune and struck "Quan Jin’s" body with it, forcing out a plume of Black Qi. Quan Jin then fainted and collapsed to the ground.
Sang Luo rushed over and held Quan Jin’s body.
Minos swiped his well-defined fingers through the void, tearing a tunnel in the air. "Go."
Sang Luo wasted no time, flying through the tunnel with Quan Jin.
The moment the two disappeared, the Black Qi tried to give chase, but the tunnel snapped shut instantly.
"Who are you to insist on meddling in others’ affairs?"
The Black Qi coalesced into a shadowy human figure, its true appearance hidden. It was draped in a black robe, its cloak covered in soul-sacrificing totems of all kinds of ancient fierce beasts, Evil Beasts, and Demon Beasts. It emanated a terrifying and oppressive aura that made one want to kneel in submission.
It looked down on the golden-robed young man before it. Having not stepped out of the Void Demon Realm for tens of thousands of years, it simply assumed this was a talented Angel trying to play hero and save the damsel in distress.
Minos replied, "I am not one to meddle, but unfortunately, you set your sights on her, Venerable, and touched my bottom line."
"Heh, so the Angel Clan wants to muddy these waters too!" The shadow’s deep, sinister voice gradually twisted as it let out a hair-raising laugh. "Your body isn’t bad, either. It’s worthy of being a vessel for my Demonic Qi!"
Before the words had even faded, the shadow attacked.
The scepter in Minos’s hand emitted a blazing light, piercing through the shadow.
However, the shadow was an intangible, formless thing. The moment it was pierced, the Black Qi split into several more shadows, surrounding Minos in the center of a killing array.
If Sang Luo were still here, she would have definitely recognized these shadows as those very Demon Envoys.
These Demon Envoys were like puppets on a string, completely devoid of reason and numb to pain, their attacks swift and vicious.
Minos pushed his palm downward. A pillar of golden light descended from the sky and struck a Demon Envoy, obliterating its Divine Soul.
Another blade of light slashed at an attacker from behind. The Demon Envoy was sliced in two at the waist, yet it still raised its Demon Blade high, bringing it down heavily toward Minos’s head.
Minos turned and casually grabbed another Demon Envoy to take the blow. That Demon Envoy’s body was instantly split in two down the middle of its skull, dissipating into the void.
In just a few short exchanges, all the Demon Envoys were slain. Minos hadn’t moved an inch, nor had he even revealed his beast form. His aura was calm and steady, his breathing undisturbed.
He gazed down upon all of creation between heaven and earth, searching for the Demon Lord’s hiding place.
Endless Demonic Qi floated in the skies of the Void Demon Realm.
The Demonic Qi morphed into Demon Beasts of all different shapes and sizes.
Myriad Demon Beasts roared, the sound shaking all corners of the world. Heaven and earth trembled, and countless boulders shattered.
Minos stomped his foot. Layers of a Golden Array appeared, sweeping across the entire region like crashing waves. Any Demon Beast that came into contact with the golden light let out piercing screams as thick black smoke billowed from their bodies. Like zombies scorched by the sun, they crumbled and melted inch by inch.
In the blink of an eye, the army of a million Demon Beasts was utterly destroyed!
The Demon Lord, hidden in the dark recesses of the void, focused his mind slightly. He had underestimated the newcomer’s identity!

It raised its beastly paw, which was like a mountain range, and slammed it down heavily on Minos!
Minos finally moved. He spun with incredible speed, his movements as fleeting and hard to trace as a phantom reflection. The beast’s claw struck the ground with a deafening, muffled BOOM. The earth in that area instantly shattered like a spiderweb and collapsed nearly a hundred meters deep!
Minos flashed in front of the Heavenly Demon Beast, and his scepter swung out, unleashing a brilliant, dazzling divine light.
In an instant, it was bright as day!
A space-rending blade of light annihilated two of the Heavenly Demon Beast’s heads, which rolled to the ground and turned into black smoke.
The Heavenly Demon Beast was thoroughly enraged. One of its snake-like heads shot out and swallowed Minos whole.
Anyone swallowed by the Heavenly Demon Beast would have their physical body instantly devoured by Demonic Qi!
The Demon Lord let out a huge sigh of relief!

He swung the Longsword, and the Heavenly Demon Beast was slashed into countless fragments. Its dying wails turned into the shrieking of the wind as mountains shattered into rolling rubble.
The blade’s light surged upward once more, forcing the Demon Lord to reveal himself.
It clapped its hands and laughed heartily. "Excellent, excellent! Truly a fine show! This one hasn’t seen such a talented young man in a long, long time. To think I’d encounter one so many years after my death!"
"You flatter me, Demon Lord."
The Demon Lord stopped laughing, his voice turning sinister. "I can leave that female alone. Your future is limitless, Your Excellency. I can even spare your life. But if you insist on being my enemy, your life will be buried forever in the Void Demon Realm!"
"Thank you for your kind intentions, Venerable." Minos’s long, golden eyes were calm and fearless as he replied with open, subtle sarcasm, "But time has told me a different answer."
