Chapter 197: What Can We Do?!

[The Glory Flag Arena - Center Stage]

The displacement of air from the spatial tear created a massive pressure vacuum.

WHOOSH!!

A figure sounded in golden light dropped from the sky, and smashed heavily in front of Hitachi and their group, stunning everyone present, even those in the royal podiums and the guild sections were all dumbfounded. Spiderwebs of cracked enchanted stone radiated from the point of impact, the kinetic force neutralized just enough to avoid killing her own teammates. The golden aura of high-tier spatial transit dissipated, revealing the black and red uniform of the Dragon Empire.

Davy blinked, staring at the lady standing before them: "Um... Are you the captain of the dragon academy?" He asked. The host’s mind was reeling; the scanner in his vision was glitching out trying to calculate her raw stat density.

Mirabella looked over her shoulder, the dust settling around her boots, staring at her group, who have relieved expression on their faces:

"Welcome Captain."

Hitachi and the rest of the group bowed their heads at Mirabella, now, she was the one stunned. The prideful survivor of the Azul clan, a boy who barely showed emotion, was leading a perfect display of absolute submission.

"Why are you all bowing?" Mirabella asked in mild confusion, her instincts immediately looking for a hidden trap or a mind-control spell.

"If you didn’t come today, the dragon academy would have lost miserably, so we thank you for coming." Hitachi said. His celestial eyes had already seen the towering, monstrous auras of the rival captains, they were outmatched without Mirabella.

’Huh? This doesn’t sound like him... Did fighting the devil cult did something to his brain?’ Mirabella thought in confusion, wondering if the trauma had fundamentally altered his character code.

While the students were immersed in their reunion, the Audience were staring at them in disbelief, confusion and shock. The colossal screen displays above the arena had finally locked onto Mirabella’s signature, broadcasting her golden level in massive, undeniable numbers.

"Is that the Dragon academy’s Captain?" Someone asked in surprised, staring at Mirabella.

"She is freaking strong, A Lv330! She is even stronger than Jessica, who’s Lv250!!" Another yelled in disbelief. A gap of eighty levels in the God-tier brackets was a mathematical chasm that standard gear couldn’t bridge.

"I can’t believe it, a single person instantly turn the battle into a victory, with such a high level, I wonder how many enemies she had killed... The other empires should be careful of her!" A third muttered, lightly shaking his head, imagining the mountain of corpses required to grind to Level 330.

"So who should we bet on?" A lady asked, holding her bag of gold coins, the underground gambling syndicates instantly throwing their calculated odds out the window.

"I also don’t know... This is tricky, she is a Lv330, but we have no idea what type of skills she has, you all should know Level isn’t everything!! With a very powerful skill, a Lv100 can even kill a Lv150. This is tricky." An old man said, rubbing his long beard, his veteran eyes narrowing as he tried to analyze Mirabella’s relaxed, utterly unbothered stance.

While everyone was guessing, Yakima stared at the white gateway in the sky, as it closed up, and vanished: the remnants of a master-tier teleportation spell fading into the atmosphere.

’Phew, they are safe.’ She thought, already sensing both Delphine’s and Hayatobi’s spirit energies in the Dragon Empire Royal’s room. The invisible tension gripping the guild leader finally snapped.

_____

[In the Dragon empire’s royal room.]

The air in the VIP box was thick with the scent of expensive incense and political anxiety. The Dragon Empire King, and His son turned their heads to the door, as it opened, and Hayatobi with Delphine walked inside. The Master Teacher looked slightly pale from the immense energy drain of transporting them across the map.

"Master Hayatobi." The Prince, Lucas, stood up, and gave a polite bow.

"No need for formalities." Hayatobi said, walking towards his designated seat, sitting down, while Delphine moved towards her younger brother, and sat down beside him. The princess looked completely exhausted.

The King stared at his two children, taking in Delphine’s disheveled state, and nodded at Hayatobi: "So Hayatobi, are you confident we will win this competition?" Elrod asked.

"With Mirabella there, yep, I am 100% sure we will win." Hayatobi said with a small smile, pointing to the runic screen displaying her Level 330 tag.

Delphine hesitated for some seconds, the political fallout of the Ragon City disaster weighing on her, and asked in a low voice: "Did... Did the Advisor’s son--"

"--We will discuss that later, you have some serious explanation to give me." Elrod said, not even looking at his daughter, his eyes locked entirely on the monstrous weapon that had just landed in the center of the arena.

"Ok father." Delphine answered in a low voice, lowering her gaze.

"...?!"

Lucas stared at her in confusion, speechless.

[Sword Empire Royal’s room.]

Across the stadium, panic had set in.

"This?! Mirabella is already Lv330?! That’s crazy!" Nadia exclaimed, almost at the edge of her seat, her perfectly curated strategy shattering into a million pieces.

"When she is just Lv100 plus, she is very powerful, let alone now." She added, her brain moving in overdrive. She had reviewed the combat logs from previous engagements; Mirabella’s combat efficiency vastly outpaced her level.

George and his kids stared at her in confusion, not knowing why a master teacher was so scared of one little girl. The Emperor frowned, unused to seeing his sister, the architect of their academy’s dominance, lose her composure.

’Shit!! If what Jessica told me about her is true, there is no need for this captain match... She shouldn’t reveal her trump cards at the very start of a competition.’ Nadia thought, realizing an exhibition match against a Level 330 was a death sentence for morale, and closed her eyes, sending telepathic message to Jessica.

[Eagle Empire Royal’s room.]

The realization of the sheer power gap had also dawned on the third faction.

"Master Keegan, Please send word to Eve, let her back down and leave the stage for those two." The Eagle emperor king, Peter said, tightly holding the two beautiful women on both side, his grip tightening as the calculations confirmed their absolute disadvantage.

"What are you saying, Brother?" Zaphyra asked in confusion. Retreating before the tournament even officially began was a massive blow to their national prestige.

"Think about it, You have already seen a share of that Girl’s powers, not to mention she has a spirit beast... If our captain face her and lose, it will surely reduce our team fighting spirit... So backing down, and hiding our strength is the best thing, don’t forget, this stage isn’t part of the competition." Peter explained, turning his gaze to his younger sister, exercising the cold, hard logic required of an Emperor navigating the brutal mechanics of Galaxy Fall.

Zaphyra slowly nodded her head: "You are right..." A humiliating defeat in an unranked exhibition would mathematically destroy their psychological momentum.

Keegan stared at the two, and exhaled: "Ok then, I will now send the message to Eve." He said, closing his eyes.

’If I am not mistaking, the sword empire will also back down.’ He thought, recognizing that in the face of an absolute anomaly like Mirabella, the only winning move for the other factions was not to play her game.
