Chapter 160: Chapter 160: Return to Earth, Goodbye James

"It’s time to go back." George jumped onto the back of the Shieldback Dragon Turtle and signaled him to return to the Dark Wolfguard territory.

To return to the Earth world, they had to go through the portal there.

George had been here for more than half a month. He came to deal with the crisis Anderson left behind, but this crisis wasn’t in the Chaos Battlefield. It was in the Abyss Realm.

He had a bad feeling in his gut.

The Shieldback Dragon Turtle ran fast, its body speeding across the yellow sand.

George contacted Constantine and Melina. He got two good news—both of them had tamed several big forces.

He didn’t ask them to return. Instead, he told them to stay in the Chaos Battlefield and keep expanding, taming more resistance forces.

"I wonder how Elise is doing," George said to himself quietly, a little worried.

Elise had lost contact with him after entering the Veilwood. But she should be safe.

Three days later, George and his team returned to the Dark Wolfguard territory.

The leader of the Dark Wolfguard hurried to greet them, especially when he saw the Shieldback Dragon Turtle and the God of the Hurricane by George’s side. He was trembling in fear.

"Keep an eye on the portal here. I’ll come back soon," George told him.

"Got it." the leader nodded quickly, not daring to say no.

George didn’t care anymore. He activated the portal and led the Shieldback Dragon Turtle and the others into it.

A surge of spatial energy hit, and a strong pulling force came at them. George returned to Earth.

It was still in the secret room of the Temple Guild. Outside, soldiers were posted, not allowing anyone to get close.

"Damn!"

George frowned, his expression pained. A terrifying strength pressed against his body, like it wanted to tear him apart.

It was Earth’s Will!

Sure enough, the thing was full of hostility, or maybe it sensed a little threat.

George knew it wasn’t the time to fight. He quickly suppressed his aura and hid his Fundamental Power.

The terrifying strength slowly disappeared.

George sighed in relief. His mind was more determined than ever to tame Earth’s Will. He needed to level up to 80 as soon as possible.

He left the secret room, and the guards were shocked. Especially when they felt the terrifying aura from the God of the Hurricane.

"Has anything strange happened on Earth recently?" George asked the leading soldier.

"No, but something strange has happened in the Abyss Realm," the soldier bowed and quickly replied.

Something wrong in the Abyss Realm?

George’s face changed a little. He had already suspected that Anderson’s trap was in the Abyss Realm.

He looked at the soldier and asked, "What happened? Tell me in detail."

"Yes," the soldier bowed respectfully and quickly told George what had happened in the Abyss Realm recently.

There had been a beast uprising. The beasts attacked human settlements fiercely.

Some small countries had already been destroyed. The Sovereign City was under a lot of pressure and had sent many soldiers there. Even with the three War Gods, they barely stopped the beast attack.

George guessed all of this was related to Anderson.

"You guys go back to the villa first. I’m going to the academy," George told the Shieldback Dragon Turtle and the others, told them where he lived, and then headed straight for the Obsidian Academy.

The academy was much quieter now. Many students had applied to enter the Abyss Realm to fight the beasts.

George walked straight to James’s office. The guards there already knew him and didn’t stop him.

"George, you’re back," James said when he saw him, clearly relieved. He stood up quickly and asked, "How is The Chaos Battlefield? Did you deal with the trouble there?"

George nodded and sat down across from him before saying, "James, there’s no real crisis in The Chaos Battlefield. Anderson’s trap must be in the Abyss Realm."

"The Abyss Realm?" James muttered to himself, not surprised. He said, "Did you hear about what’s happening there?"

"I heard a little on the way back. What exactly happened?" George didn’t know the details about the Abyss Realm.

"I’m still investigating," James said. "Ares and the others went in, but they only know that monsters are attacking and causing a beast invasion. We don’t know the real reason yet."

James also knew this was no small matter, but they had no power to investigate right now.

George hesitated, then told James about the Half-Orc world being destroyed and the possibility that Earth’s Will might have betrayed them.

James frowned and looked serious. "You mean the destruction of Earth is unavoidable?"

"I don’t know," George said honestly. "But with our strength right now, we can’t stop it." Especially after seeing how strong those Shadow monsters were, he had a deep sense of his own weakness.

James played with his tea cup, thinking deeply. After a long silence, he asked, "George, what’s your plan?"

"Fight with everything we have. If the end is already decided, then we’ll follow the Black Stone Realm’s path. We’ll sacrifice all life on Earth to pave the way for future rebels!" George said calmly, but his voice was firm.

"All life as the cost?" James slumped in his chair, his face looking even older and more tired.

This outcome was too cruel. He found it hard to accept.

After a long silence, he finally spoke again. "We can sacrifice, but we must keep a spark of humanity alive. George, you lead the effort. Set up a base in The Chaos Battlefield. We can’t let everyone die."

James didn’t want to see the end of the human race. Even if Earth was destroyed, they had to leave a strong group behind. And George was the best choice.

George stayed silent. If Earth was destroyed and the people around him died, he wouldn’t want to live on alone.

"James, it’s not that bad yet. Maybe we still have a chance," he thought of Earth’s Will. Capturing Earth’s Will was now their only hope.

"Whatever you need to do, go ahead. The Human Federation will support you with everything we have," James promised.

George nodded and stood up. "James, I need to go into the Underworld Realm for a while. Also, I need more Divine Crystals."

He took out every SSS-tier monster corpse from his bag. The room was quickly filled with them.

James was shocked. There were probably over three thousand SSS-tier monster corpses. That was a lot.

Hunting one SSS-tier monster boss usually took a few weeks. George had done this in less than a month. That was impossible.

"Okay, I’ll arrange it right away," James didn’t ask questions. He immediately ordered soldiers to take the corpses to the research department.

"This is a map to the Underworld Realm. But after the College Entrance Exam, that realm seems to have been abandoned," he pulled out another map.

George didn’t take it. He said, "I don’t need a map. By the way, give me two Advanced Crystal Balls."

Before entering the Underworld Realm, he needed to level up to 80 and complete the advancement quest. Only then could he tame that Wayne, the Bloodthirsty Felborn King.

He killed a lot of Wind Spirit Beasts in The Chaos Battlefield. His experience had reached over 20 billion, which was enough to level up his Martial Saint and Frost Keeper classes to level 80.

"No problem," James said immediately and ordered someone to bring out two Advanced Crystal Balls.

George left the academy and started leveling up right away.

[Martial Saint class level +1, four main stats +500, Strength and Stamina +500 extra]

[Frost Keeper level +1, four main stats +450]

...

[Martial Saint class reached level 80, can continue to level up after advancement]

[Frost Keeper reached level 80, can continue to level up after advancement]

Soon, George leveled both classes to 80. He smashed the crystals and started the advancement quests.

[You have accepted the Martial Saint 80-level advancement quest: kill a god-level warrior]

[You have accepted the Frost Keeper 80-level advancement quest: kill an Abyss god-level warrior]

Advancement quests were to kill a god-level warrior?

George was speechless. But he was lucky he had Fundamental Power, or it would have been impossible.

He thought about the God of the Hurricane, but that guy was already tamed. He couldn’t kill him.

And the Frost Keeper’s advancement quest was to kill an Abyss god-level warrior—Demon King · Blake.

George thought back to Blake in the Underworld Realm.

He was also going to the Underworld Realm to tame Wayne, the Bloodthirsty Felborn King.

George didn’t go to the Underworld Realm right away, but went back to the villa instead.

As soon as he got to the door, he saw the huge body of the Shieldback Dragon Turtle.

There was also the God of the Hurricane and the Obsidian Wraith. They were all gathered around, watching Eliex forging weapons and equipment.

"Master, you’re back!"

Eliex noticed George and quickly stopped working, rushing over to greet him.

George nodded and looked at the weapons and gear nearby, asking, "Are these all Artifact gear?"

Eliex nodded proudly.

"So many?" George was surprised. There were four pieces here: a long bow, two staffs, and a spear.

He had only been away for half a month, but Eliex had already made four Artifact gear.

"It’s all thanks to you, master," Eliex explained simply. He had broken through to False God and gained the Forge Heart talent, which made making Artifact gear much easier.

George was happy too. It looked like, as long as he had enough materials, he could make an Artifact gear for Elise and the others.

"Master, do you want me to make you an Artifact gear?" Eliex asked.

George shook his head. "Artifact gear doesn’t help me much. You should focus on making them for Constantine and the others."

He had Fundamental Power, so he didn’t need extra power from gear.

"By the way, where is Lily?" George didn’t see Lily, and he hadn’t met her at the academy. He asked curiously.

"That girl also went into the Abyss Realm. But don’t worry, I made her an Artifact gear—a Celestial Serpent robe. Unless she meets a warrior over level 80, she’ll be safe," Eliex explained. He was confident in his own weapons.
