Game World's Awakening-Chapter 198: Very dangerous
Elliot frowned. Feeling himself slow down wasn't the only thing that happened. His energy was flowing more slowly. His movements weren't actually slower; it was just that his energy was flowing more slowly, and since he was using energy to move faster, his movements would naturally slow down.
But why?
He looked at Jenna and Andrew... they all seemed to be having trouble with this. In fact, Andrew took another hit in quick succession, even though Sir Ruin had wasted his first chance to do so.
At the same time, Jenna was hit in the nose by Ruin's fist.
Elliot tried to do something, but the difficulty of moving made it hard for him to adapt. He ended up being hit by Dark Mantle's magic and flew backwards. His body rolled across the ground, and he felt terrible pain in his bones.
The Thoran twins were the least affected, but that was because they weren't in the fight when it happened. But with the three main ones out of the front line, these two had to move.
"It's ancient magic from the Ruin, Elliot!" one of them shouted to remind him.
Elliot stood up and wiped the blood dripping from the corner of his mouth.
'Ancient Elven magic from the King of Ruin, right?' he thought.
This type of corrosive magic corroded other magic, abilities, or even the energy of attributes. In other words, it took away power and added complicity to its casting.
In fact, by being able to corrode even abilities, it showed that even magic as special as Jenna's would have a considerable decrease in power.
It was the most dangerous type of magic Elliot had ever heard of... well, he had read about it in the library. Honestly, they didn't expect there to be characters like this here.
They had not been able to see the full power of any of them during the previous phases, so they could not prepare for this.
It was a complete turn of events, to which they simply had to react.
Andrew jumped back, landing next to Elliot, leaving the twins and the Basilisk to momentarily take control.
"Elliot, that guy is weird," he said.
"Weird? In what way?"
"His body is strange. I feel like part of his body doesn't exist."
"Hm? Doesn't exist?" Elliot looked at him, shocked. "The body of the Ruined King?!" he exclaimed, shocked.
"What is that?" Andrew looked at him. Just then, Jenna also arrived beside them.
"It's the body of someone whose power is terrifying. How do you beat that?" Jenna asked.
Elliot was wondering the same thing.
"Besides, that Dark Mantle guy has an incredibly resistant metal-like body and can also cast ancient magic, different from the rest. That field should also be something from the Ruined King, right? Tsk. These guys are going to be tough." Elliot smiled.
He found it amusing, to be honest. Although he also looked worried, but there was nothing he could do about it.
It was time to get serious.
"The strategy this time is to simply crush them all. Let's take out those two first." Elliot smiled. He took out one of his temporary swords and threw it with all his might at those who were fighting against his summoning. The sword flew at high speed, breaking the air as it approached the tank.
At the same time, he nodded to his two companions and shot off after the sword. Getting rid of those two, he didn't think it would be too difficult.
His speed wasn't the same, so getting there took him a little longer.
Besides, even though the twins were being suppressed, they were very good at those invisible attacks launched with their swords. When they fought together, even those three could have trouble.
Despite that, the blows they were receiving would not allow them to hold out for long.
Elliot came running quickly from behind and smiled. "Time to fight with all your might, little one," he said, patting one of the Basilisk's legs.
At the same time, all his summons, except for the raven, appeared in the battle, surrounding the two lone combatants who were trying to get rid of the basilisk.
Neither of them expected Elliot to focus on them at this moment. But they were powerful and were not being affected by the ruined magic of those two dangerous magicians.
They quickly jumped back and tried to attack. They didn't expect that to be the biggest mistake they would make in the entire tournament.
[Basilisk Magnetism has been activated]
Immediately, both bodies were faced with a strange force of attraction, powerful enough to deflect their attacks completely.
They wore metal armor... There was nothing they could do.
At the same time...
[Invincible Bond Swordsman Class: activated.]
Then, the human swordsman that Elliot created during his trip to Agora launched powerful sword attacks.
Although they were sword attacks, they looked like snakes or lightning bolts twisting in the wind and quickly reached the bodies of those two flying toward the basilisk.
Those intertwined attacks electrocuted them. Although the penetration damage was useless, it was more than enough to buy Elliot time to do his job.
In a combined attack, he and the Basilisk struck fiercely toward them. The Basilisk's claws tore determinedly at whatever was in front of them, while Elliot's sword sent them into immediate unconsciousness and flying off the enormous mountain.
Despite that, Elliot noticed that his attack speed and power were different.
He suddenly felt something coming from behind, so he quickly turned around. A powerful magic was approaching him, so he tried to break it as usual, but...
It didn't work.
His movement was halfway there when his body was hit by it. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
He flew backward at high speed, but then received a direct hit to his side.
He felt his insides shudder with a strange pain, but his body was thrown in another direction at the same time as the magic burned him.
The burn wasn't that problematic; the problem was the strength of both their attacks.
And even more...
'Corrosion?' When Elliot finally fell to the ground, the area around him was set ablaze by magic, but he was unharmed and could walk away.
But looking at his side, he realized a different kind of magic was attacking him.
Part of his flesh lost its abilities from within. He was not only being affected internally, but also externally.
He looked over at where Sir Ruined was standing.
'How do I fight this?' he thought.
Luckily for him, at that moment, he saw how a person was being strangely drawn toward the basilisk.
At first, he didn't understand. But suddenly, his eyes lit up.
'That's right, if Dark Mantle has a body made of magnetic metal, he will naturally be attracted to the basilisk!' He smiled, immediately knowing what course of action to take.
He dispersed some of his summons and shot off toward Sir Ruined.
Jenna and Andrew had already joined the battle. With each attack they launched, he saw their power rapidly reduced.
Even so, they held nothing back.
Jenna decided to fight using all her tactics as a swordsman. Finally, she revealed to the world that she was at the Fourth Level in her swordsman career. In addition, she could launch a series of diverse attacks that continuously powered up, although they were limited to a certain amount.
That was common at the fifth level, but the flaws in his execution showed that he wasn't quite there yet.
Even so, reaching that level at 16 years old shocked everyone present.
His movements in those kinds of attacks were a little clumsy, but they were so powerful that it didn't matter. Seeing those attacks in places as abandoned as these lands wasn't common.
No one had reached that level until now, not even the great powers of Agora or other cities.
She was, as a swordsman, far above this region.
Furthermore, when Andrew joined the equation, two powerful beings who were constantly striking harder and harder, even Ruin had to struggle, especially when he was left alone.
Although his ruin magic was powerful and was mixed with Sir Ruined's, in the face of Jenna and Andrew's display of power and seeing that Dark Mantle was strongly attracted by magnetism, Ruin was completely defeated.
He had to fend for himself, using his skills as a physical mage and his ruin, but he wasn't as good as Sir Ruined at this ruin, so he had trouble.
Meanwhile, on the other side, the two Twins whom Dark Mantle had pushed turned to the fight and took advantage that he couldn't fight well to close in on him.
In a moment, everyone entered the fight, except Elliot, who quickly approached Sir Ruined, intending not to let him help Ruin in the fight...
Or not.
He re-summoned his summons at that moment, but not before Sir Ruined, instead summoning them above the basilisk. They understood his command: to attack Dark Mantle all together.
He also jumped over Sir Ruined, taking advantage of a strong stomp from the Basilisk.
In a moment, the Thoran Twins, eight summons, and Elliot were face to face with Dark Mantle, who could not attack.
