"Hurry, hurry! Keep up!"

Central City reporter Shou Margot urged her companion to accelerate the *Star Wars* hoverbike to keep pace. This girl from the *Eastern Project*, a Crow Tengu possessing considerable Mana, could fly extremely fast using her demonic power. However, since she was providing live commentary, it was better to ride a flying vehicle—this would reduce the impact of the Gale on her voice and optimize the live broadcast quality.

"Dear viewers, we now see the race has officially started! All drivers simultaneously adopted a sprint strategy. This is because the track within the sports field has limited width and length; the racers need to complete a lap as quickly as possible from their starting positions and enter the underground tunnel to reach the official race segment."

Shou Margot sat in the back seat of the hoverbike, speaking to the camera at an extremely rapid pace. The modified hoverbike could fly close to the ground and was slightly faster than the original combat vehicle models.

"In the short time I've been speaking, some vehicles have already covered half the sports field's track! Leading the pack, as expected, is our three-time Death Race runner-up, Mr. Kratos! His Chaos Twin Blades war vehicle, flat-bodied and featuring two jagged, fang-like greatswords welded to its front, can shred any obstruction on the road! It seems no driver wants to get in front of him!"

Shou Margot quickly continued her explanation, "Right behind Kratos is the Demon King from *Super Mario Maker*! His Hell Bus War Vehicle is huge and heavily armored—an unstoppable beast! But as we all know, the consequence of such great weight is difficulty in turning! Up ahead is a bend in the circular track, and it's clear the Hell Bus War Vehicle, which had been sprinting, is forced to slow down for a controlled drift. At this moment, other vehicles are using the bend to overtake the Hell Bus driven by the Demon King..."

The Death Race track totaled 600 kilometers, featuring over a hundred combat vehicles, so Shou Margot was, naturally, not the only one commentating on the race. However, she was currently the most capable journalist from Central City. Clark Joseph Kent (Superman, a reporter for *The Daily Planet*) had ascended to a higher dimension long ago. Peter Parker (Spider-Man) was a contestant himself this year. The remaining journalists—Miles Upshur (*Outlast*), Rebecca Chang (*Dead Rising 2*), Elena Fisher (*Uncharted Sea*), and Joseph Scriber (*Silent Hill 4: The Room*)—were clearly not Superhumans. Unable to keep up with the entire course, they could only cover certain sections. Thus, Shou Margot's commentary remained the most watched.

It is worth noting that independent journalist Miles Upshur, the protagonist of *Outlast*, presented a curious case. In his game, aside from a night-vision camera, Miles could hardly carry anything and possessed no ability to fight back against enemies, making him seem rather feeble, even for a character in a horror survival game.

Shou Margot's commentary echoed around the racetrack.

Sitting in the driver's seat of the Hell Bus, the Demon King heard her words, gave a cold smile, then slammed his foot on the accelerator and charged forward. Simultaneously, he turned his head towards Donkey Kong in the vehicle's cargo bed (another Nintendo character, who, like the Demon King, had once kidnapped Mario's girlfriend, but in the sequel *Donkey Kong Jr.*, was imprisoned by Mario) and bellowed, "Donkey Kong! Deploy the spikes!"

"ROAR!"

Donkey Kong lifted his arms, thicker than thighs, pounded his chest vigorously, then grabbed the lever at the bottom of the cargo bed and wrenched it fiercely!

WHIRR—

The spikes on the sides of the Hell Bus tires began to spin wildly and suddenly extended outwards, plunging deeply into the tires of a combat vehicle driving alongside the Hell Bus.

BANG!

The right tire of an armored vehicle from the *Borderlands* series, with its distinctive post-apocalyptic style, was instantly punctured. The entire right side of the vehicle lifted high into the air before slamming down, sending it spinning out of control. At this point, there wasn't much distance between the vehicles in the leading pack, and the spinning *Borderlands* war vehicle smashed directly into several other armored vehicles, instantly causing a chain-reaction crash.

Aboard the Hell Bus, the Demon King saw the horrific scene unfold in his rearview mirror and burst into wild laughter. He drove his vehicle to follow closely behind the Chaos Twin Blades war vehicle, completely disregarding the carnage unfolding on the track behind him.

Metal parts flew everywhere, and explosions erupted from the ground.

Sunset Gold Smelter's pupils contracted as he yelled, "Watch out!"

Vehicles remained jammed at the crash site. Those in front were forced to slow down and navigate around the wreckage. However, the drivers behind them showed no signs of slowing, flooring their accelerators and relying on their heavily armored front bumpers to ram through.

A light tank with four wheels, a front-mounted scoop, and a giant cannon barrel—the Sentor Tank from *Gears of War 2*—maneuvered through the congested traffic and headed straight for the player characters' Stryker Armored Vehicle. Its front was fitted with a metal scoop, like an iron jaw, that could potentially knock their vehicle off balance and off the track. Even if they weren't disqualified, they would lose a significant distance advantage.

Worse still, the traffic was congested. The Stryker Armored Vehicle, driven by Li Ang and his team, was flanked on both sides with no room to maneuver.

"I'll do it!"

The Witch, seated at the machine gun, her eyes flashing, slapped her hand down and hopped onto the vehicle's roof, glaring fiercely at the approaching Sentor Tank. During the race, contestants were forbidden from directly attacking other teams' war vehicles, but there were fewer restrictions concerning one's own vehicle.

The Witch pulled a long whip, woven from black hair, out of thin air, and with a hefty swing, wrapped it around the vehicle's midsection. Then, her lips moving silently, she chanted a spell, summoning a massive energy hand known as Bigby's Hand. It gripped the whip and gave a fierce tug. There was no denying the impressive and formidable Mana the Witch possessed. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

Even laden with top-tier armor and weighing over 20 tons, the Stryker Armored Vehicle actually leaped into the air from this tug! The cumbersome vehicle completed a full rotation in mid-air!

It was as if in slow motion. The surrounding drivers stared, eyes wide, watching the Stryker Armored Vehicle flip through the air. They were dumbfounded, seemingly unable to believe what they were witnessing.

BOOM!

The Stryker Armored Vehicle crashed heavily to the ground. Its heavy-duty, blast-resistant tires were undamaged. With the Dusk Knight's exquisite control, the vehicle quickly regained its balance. Their vehicle broke out of the encirclement, leaving the crash scene far behind, and narrowly caught up to the tail end of the leading pack.

"PHEW..."

The Witch's face was somewhat pale. The Bigby's Hand she had just conjured was a perfect combination of power and precise control; the slightest misstep would have resulted in the vehicle's destruction and the death of its occupants.
