As was customary, Li Ang didn't allocate those three attribute points. This was to prevent finding satisfactory equipment only to discover his attributes were insufficient to use it.

So, what now?

Li Ang rubbed his chin and fell into silent contemplation.

After all, as a Lone Wolf Player, he lacked information and was unclear about that bizarre gate-contesting strife. However, one thing was always certain: enhancing his own strength. Even if the future was a dark ocean swelled with tsunamis, the survival odds for a massive ship were far greater than those for a small rowboat.

Li Ang thought for a moment, then picked up pen and paper and began to write.

[Short-term Goals]: Clarify what the gate-contesting strife is. Manage the Immaculate Furnace Shop well. Advance Alchemy from junior to intermediate. Strengthen the Alchemist's Magic Box. Spend money. Find an extraordinary being as a pet and fill the Minor Master Ball.

[Mid-term Goals]: Upgrade intermediate Necromancy Technique to advanced. Find a stable way to supplement Divine Power. Discover a perfect method to restrain the Brain Worm. Cultivate more Bug Clan units.

[Long-term Goals]: Utilize Divine Enthronement (pending confirmation). Survive.

The three categories of goals are mainly classified by their anticipated completion time. Alchemy progresses every day, and I estimate that in a little over a month, I will have thoroughly digested the contents of Morgan's Travel Notes.

Li Ang looked at the content on the paper and muttered to himself, The Immaculate Furnace Shop is simple enough; it just hangs there and brings in income. However, the Game Square doesn't provide a list of goods that need restocking. I need to observe which goods are out of stock every so often and restock them myself, which is quite troublesome. Moreover, if there are customers who urgently need surgery and are willing to pay more, they might not be able to contact me even if they come to the shop. Perhaps I should hire a front desk cashier for the shop?

The cashier could sign a contract and be added as my friend, spending their time in the Immaculate Furnace Shop. They'd look after the shop for me, checking which goods need restocking or dealing with customers who urgently need surgery, and then inform me of their needs through the friend communication system.

The cashier issue can wait; the current customer flow of the Immaculate Furnace isn't overwhelming yet. But if I develop new products and expand the store in the future, I might need to hire staff.

Li Ang grumbled, Too bad the Game Square only allows players to enter; otherwise, I could have sent Brain Worms to mind the store. Forget it. Next item.

His other short-term goal was to find a mighty transcendent being. The Minor Master Ball, one of the biggest gains from this mission, had a Special Effect that was incredibly potent, even bordering on exaggerated: it could capture a creature weaker and of a lower level than the user with 100% certainty, rendering it loyal.

Considering the spherical space inside the Master Ball has a diameter of thirty meters, the captured creature probably can't be too large; a Titan Giant or something similar definitely won't fit, Li Ang muttered. And only one creature can be released at a time; I can't just pack the entire Bug Clan in there. Hmm... I remember there's a guild on the Game Square that specializes in beast taming, isn't there? Called the Beast of Thousand Throats? They primarily tame extraordinary creatures such as Two-Legged Flying Dragons, Mammoths, and Fire Lizards, and offer some of them for sale at the auction house.

Beast taming also falls under the category of logistical skills. That Beast of Thousand Throats guild wasn't flashy, but their strength should be decent—having the means to tame and suppress Magical Beasts proved they were also strong in combat. Apart from the Beast of Thousand Throats, other guilds also deal in the trade of extraordinary creatures, such as the Demon Scientist Alliance. Its members each possess various unique skills, including experts proficient in biological modifications who would put their proud creations up for auction.

Take, for example, the Tyrant with a Triangle Head—a combination of final bosses from two horror games—with an iron triangle atop its head and a door-sized cleaver in hand, capable of slicing a main battle tank's frontal armor in half. There's also the emotionless, physically robust Undead Army—totaling one hundred soldiers, their skin tough enough to withstand light machine gun fire and flawlessly execute simple commands from their employers. There are even half-mechanical, half-demon monsters. The Demon Scientist Alliance would draw Arrays, using Soul Fragments as bait to summon demons from The Abyss. They would then cripple and cage them, fit the ferocious demons with metal prosthetics and a Mental Control collar, and sell them off like pet dogs to their clients.

Brutal and evil, yet not devoid of rational science. The Demon Scientist Alliance is such a cool, niche guild. However, according to some rumors on the forums, they seem to be engaged in the Elf trafficking business underground, specifically selling Elves to high-end clients with special needs.

But they didn't tell their clients that the Elves they sold were originally Jackalmen, Dog-headed Men, and Deep Sea Fish Men, transformed into handsome men and beautiful women with golden hair and blue eyes through modifications.

The Demon Scientist Alliance vehemently denied these rumors on the forums, stating first that they would not deal in the low-end, tasteless business of Elf trafficking. Secondly, if they did, they would prefer to use stinky, ugly goblins covered in pustules as the raw material—their breeding efficiency far surpasses that of Jackalmen or Fish Men. Hmm...

Li Ang, also skilled in biological modifications, reflected that turning goblins into Elves wasn't difficult. If he wanted to, he could even transform a Worm into a statue-esque beauty rivaling those of ancient Greece in under twenty minutes.

According to the notes on the Minor Master Ball, it's best to find a supernatural creature whose level and strength are just a little below mine, Li Ang muttered to himself. There's no rush for this; I'll take a stroll around the Game Square later.

Next up were his mid-term goals.

Li Ang's previously mastered Necromancy Technique (Beginner) had already been elevated to the intermediate level. This resulted in lower consumption and the ability to awaken larger dead creatures, which now possessed higher sentience. Surprisingly, the intermediate Necromancy Technique could be upgraded further, requiring 1,000 proficiency points to reach the advanced level. This would take 250 days if he cast it the maximum four times daily.

Could I awaken a Cruiser and get a few ship spirits at the advanced level?

Li Ang shook his head and doodled on the paper. Too bad, the one thing players lack is time. Raising the level of Necromancy Technique relies on gradual progress and can't be rushed. The goal of finding a stable method to replenish Divine Power, however, is more challenging...

"What are you doing?"

Chaichai's head popped through the wall and drifted in, whooshing up next to Li Ang. He leaned in to glance at the paper.

"Stable replenishment of Divine Power?"

Chaichai thought for a while, his eyes rolling back, then slapped his palm. "Right! Didn't you create a self-aware Brain Worm before? That worm could provide you with the Power of Faith, couldn't it?"
