Wearing a Dragon Head Mask and clad in a white lab coat, Li Ang strolled toward the Immaculate Furnace, hands in his pockets.

Perhaps due to recent rumors, the square was significantly more crowded than before. Individuals in strange and exotic outfits could be seen everywhere.

Li Ang's attire hadn't changed, so passersby immediately recognized him. He was the manager of the Immaculate Furnace, infamous for brutally torturing opponents in the Sky Fighting Arena. They couldn't help but whisper and point fingers as he passed.

Hearing the whispers, Li Ang turned his head. The onlookers promptly averted their gazes and hurried away, seemingly terrified he would notice them. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

Tsk, am I really that frightening?

Li Ang clicked his tongue in displeasure, utterly baffled by this behavior.

Since the Special Affairs Bureau had monopolized most supernatural incidents in the real world, there was nowhere left to gain experience. Li Ang decided to casually browse the shops in the square, hoping to find creatures suitable for his Minor Master Ball.

Unfortunately, the products on offer were disappointing. Some were too weak, not even a match for Leviathan, and thus worthless. Others were too large to fit into the Master Ball's mansion space. Still others were of dubious origin, likely bait from some Secret Society with hidden backdoors, risking surveillance and tracking if purchased.

After touring the shops and finding nothing suitable, Li Ang returned to the Immaculate Furnace. He performed surgeries on a few waiting customers, then flipped the operating room's sign to "RESTING" and sat behind the cash register to use the computer.

Sometimes I really can't understand other players. Some request surgeries to look like internet-famous beauties, others want their skin dyed to resemble Avatars, and some even ask to have a cloacal sphincter installed in their pet parrots to prevent them from defecating everywhere. It's truly baffling.

"Let's see what new news there is..."

Li Ang propped his feet on the desk, moving the mouse as he browsed the player forum.

By now, the player forum had been officially recognized, taken over, and funded by the Global Occult Coalition. The website had been repeatedly updated, making it much cleaner. The forum's management team had also been replaced, resulting in more reasonable and standardized post deletions and user bans.

The days of encountering pop-up ads while browsing forums were truly over, never to return.

"An Australian youth was found dead at home, stark naked and so emaciated he resembled a mummy. Investigators discovered his smartphone was locked on an unidentified app featuring a red-skinned demon icon. The app reportedly summons devils, including succubi, allowing users to make pacts: pay a price to a demon and receive what they desire. This includes, but is not limited to, artistic talent, stock market predictions, and high exam scores. The app cannot be found for download online, but rumors suggest users can share it directly via Bluetooth. The current number of users in Australia is unknown."

Li Ang narrowed his eyes; this app sounded quite dangerous. If left unrestricted, it could spread rapidly in the shadows.

"This sounds a bit like the Demon Scientist Alliance's handiwork, but an official account from that guild had already posted a comment below, debunking the rumor," Li Ang muttered. "This organization really is a magnet for suspicion. Now, whenever any supernatural incident occurs, people suspect they're the masterminds."

Accusations ranged from cutting off flight routes between the United States and Europe, creating storms that ripped apart Greece's largest flag, and spreading the Ebola virus in the Congo. They were even blamed for swindling a celebrity's former agent, leading to the star's exhaustion and absence from a talent show, and for mass-using counterfeit currency during the street vendor craze, causing citizens to lose a thousand yuan on their first day. To blame them for every bad deed around the world was really quite far-fetched.

Actually, it was no wonder people had these misconceptions. The Demon Scientist Alliance had no leader or boss; it was a very loose organization, even more casual than Whale Song. Most of its members were arrogant, headstrong technicians. They hadn't joined the guild seeking refuge, but rather to access a platform—a place to share technology and covertly compete with peers of similar caliber. The upper echelons of the Demon Scientist Alliance had little control over its rank-and-file members. When incidents occurred, they could only clarify that core members weren't involved. Whether peripheral members were responsible, however, remained completely unclear.

Beyond this news, there was also information from South America.

Another of The Seven Warlords of Brazil had fallen. This Warlord, a gang leader in Rio de Janeiro, was returning to his manor by car with his entourage after patrolling his territory. As his pet dog ran out to greet him, it suddenly mutated in mid-air over the lawn into a colossal grey wolf. Clenching an impossibly large Great Sword in its jaws, it shattered the black luxury sedan and the Warlord's protective shield with a single strike. The gang leader was crushed to a pulp before he could even draw his weapon.

The death of this gang leader, also a player, created a power vacuum in Rio, igniting further gang conflicts in the city. This time, the gangs weren't just using guns; they also deployed special items from the Game Square, such as Fireball Spell Scrolls and Portable Mud Trap Magic Crystals.

A video filmed by a BBC frontline correspondent in Rio clearly showed a gang member firing a high-pressure water gun at enemies. Those hit collapsed in agony, suffering from severe diarrhea and uncontrollable convulsions. Zooming in, the footage revealed a giant water tank connected to the back of the high-pressure water gun. Another gang member stood beside it, pouring a Magic Potion into the tank, presumably diluting it to use as ammunition.

"Oh, these guys sure have imagination! Skillfully using special items to injure their enemies, with exquisite coordination and a deep understanding of tactical unit synergy. But this diarrhea-inducing Magic Potion... why does it look so familiar?"

Li Ang narrowed his eyes, enlarging the screen. "Wait, this couldn't be a potion from our shop, could it?"
