Getting a Sugar Mommy in Cultivation World!!-Chapter 671: Dreadful Wait
"Urghh… Why is life so dreadful?"
Lying on a makeshift lounger crafted from well-crafted bamboo wood and expertly tied vines.
Noah groaned, his voice laced with exaggerated despair. His legs stretched up a little, and his toes curled inwardly.
The bright sun bore down directly over his head. Its rays filtered by the dark shades perched lazily on the bridge of his nose.
His feet were propped up on a rock table. One ankle resting over the other.
He had long discarded the cloak he had been wearing and now wore a loosely tied black kimono that fluttered in the air.
Opposite him, Elysia sprawled on her own lounger, arms dangling limply over the sides.
She hadn't changed outfits, but she had added a pair of tinted goggles that served no real purpose other than to add flair to her beauty.
Occasionally, she would raise her hand lazily toward the sky and conjure a puff of cloud—only to hurl a crackling bolt of lightning down at the rocky terrain, leaving behind a smoldering scorch mark.
Then she would look at the mark and groan in annoyance.
"Can't we just go inside that immortal artifact of yours?" She snapped her head towards Noah and asked pleadingly.
Noah raised her head and saw Elysia batting her eyelashes at him seductively while revealing her ample white skin by shifting the black lace of her gown with her fingers.
"We can do anything you want… in there and in… anywhere~" Noah knew she was trying to sound tempting, but he could only give her an 'Are you serious?' look.
"How many times have I told you that we cannot access that subspace in this domain without destroying it?" Noah rubbed his forehead with exasperation. "You think I didn't want to do it the first time you offered it."
"Ugh… We cannot enter that pagoda; we cannot enter those elemental lands, not even the ones we came from. What can we even do?" Elysia fell back in her chair and looked at the sky with a hopeless look on her face.
She sighed and dragged her fingers through the air, lazily conjuring another cloud above them.
Crackle!
Another bolt gathered before shooting downward.
Scarring the already charred ground.
The ground beneath them was jagged, uneven, and filled with sharp uplifts, so even the slightest movements of the chair caused it to rock.
"Well, if you are just bored, I might be able to help you with that." Noah snapped his finger, and a series of black symbols poured out of his fingers, dripping on the ground and covering the area around them.
"wha–" Before Elysia could say anything, she felt her surroundings change. 'Illusion?'
She instantly realized that she had been pulled into an illusion and Noah was lying right beside her.
Lying?!
It was then she realized that they were in a luxurious, dimly lit room. The only things inside the room were the bed and the huge wall screen before them.
Seeing this screen, a streak of information came flushing into her mind, and she realized what it was.
"You couldn't have done this before? We have been stuck on this island for three days now!" She complained while bouncing on Noah, who let out an off.
"With all the books you have been reading, you needed some time away from these things."
He chuckled and allowed Elysia to bite his neck while turning on the screen, playing a movie on it.
…
[The End!]
By the time it ended, Elyisa was lying in Noah's arms. the back of her head resting on his chest and her legs entangled with his.
"That was a great movie." Elysia realized that the movie had ended, and she nuzzled in Noah's arms.
Noah could see clear as day that she did not seem as interested in the action as she was rolling around in his embrace.
"Can we watch another one?" With her head lowered and her eyes looking up, she asked in a voice so sweet that even the illusion faltered.
Noah did not speak and gave her an answer by waving his hand.
Crack!!
Within an instant, the illusion snapped into fluttering butterflies before fading away.
Elysia blinked and sat up from the lounge to complain to Noah, only to see him looking in another direction.
Her mouth opened before it closed again without uttering anything.
Something caught her attention as well.
Footsteps!
Delicate and faltering.
She turned her head in the direction of the land filled with mirrors and saw a figure far away, dragging herself from the land.
This woman was none other than Xian Mei from the Illusionary Lotus Sect.
Her body was riddled with superficial injuries, but there were no life-threatening concerns.
Some bruises and a few cuts here and there were nothing for a cultivator like her. Once rested enough, she could heal them in no time.
Elyisa looked at the girl, who did not seem to have noticed them, and recalled who she was almost instantly.
She was one of the few people who saw through her act on the cloud bridge and found her cute.
"She cannot see us?" Turning her head, Elysia asked the man who seemed to be now relaxing in his chair.
"She can if she focuses on looking in our direction." Noah glanced at Xian Mei as she looked around to check for any signs of danger before sitting down on the ground to heal.
"Looks like the others are going to arrive soon as well." Noah glanced behind the young woman to see Lei Yiran walking out of the wasteland filled with lightning and typhoons.
His body was in a worse state in terms of injuries compared to Xian Mei.
But Xian Mei's injuries were not limited to the physical ones.
Lei Yiran noticed Xian Mei sitting on the ground and froze when he noticed her robes sticking to her body from all the sweat she was covered in.
Her cheeks flushed before he looked away with a huff. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
"What a cute kid." Elysia laughed in amusement when she saw his actions. "Instead of healing himself, he is standing guard to protect her."
"A foolish choice." Noah chuckled before adding, "But a commendable one."
