Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world-Chapter 27: The Cafeteria
Chapter 27: The Cafeteria
The two of them started walking out of the training ground, stepping into the Academy's vast corridors.
The pathways were lined with tall windows, allowing the golden afternoon light to spill into the hall.
Most students were either still in training or had already gone ahead, leaving the pathways relatively empty.
The occasional group of cadets passed by, some stealing curious glances at Brandon... something he had grown used to by now.
"So," Elena started, hands tucked into her blazer pockets. "How's your first day treating you? Adjusting well?"
Brandon let out a sighed and replied "It's a lot to take in."
Elena chuckled upon hearing this "Yeah, I figured. Not every day you find yourself in an all-women's Academy as the only guy who can use ether."
She shot him a playful glance. "Getting a lot of stares, huh?"
Brandon shrugged casually "Getting used to it."
The cafeteria was massive, far bigger than Brandon had expected when he first arrived at the Academy.
The high ceilings, tall arched windows, and elegant chandeliers made the space feel almost like a grand banquet hall rather than a simple dining area.
Most places are already occupied by students enjoying their meals.
Brandon and Elena made their way toward the food counters, where a variety of dishes were on display behind glass cases.
Unlike the standard meal choices he had seen in other places, the Academy's cafeteria seemed to have a well-thought-out selection.
There were warm bowls of creamy mushroom soup, platters of glazed salmon, rice dishes mixed with herbs and vegetables, and even some lighter options like fruit salads and chilled yogurt with honey.
Elena grabbed a tray without hesitation. "Alright, what's good today?" she mused, looking through the selection.
Brandon took his time as he looked over the different meal choices.
He wasn't particularly picky, but he also wanted something that would actually satisfy his hunger.
Elena went for a bowl of spicy beef stew with thick slices of buttered bread on the side.
She also added a plate of golden-brown fried potato wedges and grabbed a cold citrus drink.
After some thought, Brandon picked a serving of creamy pasta with roasted garlic and a side of cheesy stuffed bread.
He also took a small dish of caramelized apples and a chilled berry juice.
Elena glanced at his tray and grinned "Didn't take you for a pasta guy."
Hearing her teasing, Brandon chuckled "Figured I'd try something different."
With their trays in hand, they walked toward an empty table near the windows.
As soon as they sat down, Elena wasted no time digging into her meal.
She tore a piece of buttered bread and dunked it into her stew before taking a bite, sighing in satisfaction.
"Mmm, damn. Say what you want about this Academy, but the food is top-tier."
Brandon took a bite of his pasta, nodding slightly "Yeah, I can't complain."
Elena glanced at him between bites "So, how was sparring with me? I didn't go too hard on you, did I? I even restricted myself from using ether."
With a nod, Brandon replied "It was great, barely managed through it."
Elena leaned back and stretched her arm slightly. "Well, you've got good instincts. And you're not afraid to fight up close, which is rare for someone with barely any training."

They ate in comfortable silence for a while.
Outside the windows, the Academy grounds stretched out under the afternoon sun as the trees swayed gently in the breeze.
After a few minutes, Elena glanced at him again "So, what's your plan?"
Brandon looked up "Plan?"
"For this Academy. The rankings. Everything." She tapped her fork against her tray.
"You're in the Ascendant Class, which means you're already seen as a potential elite. But that also means you're expected to prove yourself. You planning to climb the ranks?"
Brandon exhaled, thinking for a moment "I don't know yet."
Elena raised an eyebrow. "No ambitions?"
"It's not that," Brandon replied, swirling his drink slightly.
"It's just... everything happened so fast."
Elena nodded in understanding "Well, you've got time to figure it out."
"Mhm.."
As they continued eating, Brandon asked "By the way, I want to go and meet the Student Council President.. I don't know what her name is."
Hm? Hearing this, Elena raised an eyebrow "You mean, Lady Clarisse? The one with the white hair?"
Brandon nodded his head "Yeah, Yeah... her."
Eh? Elena was dumbfounded "Why do you wanna meet that monster?"
Huh? "Monster?"
Seeing his clueless face, Elena smiled dryly "She is called Grand Prefect, a title bestowed to the strongest student in the Academy..."
"She is an absolute beast and leader of the Council of Seven."
"Many people are saying that she has the potential to become the next Empyrean."
Brandon blinked his eyes absorbing the information "I see... and what is this Council of Seven?"
Eating her food, Elena replied "It is one of the three big like.. factions within the Academy."
"Headmistress has the highest authority."
"Next, the Academy Board of Directors, the Council of Instructors, and the Council of Seven have the highest authority."
"The Council of Seven is like the highest student authority within the Academy."
"Its made up of seven of the strongest and most influential students in the academy..."
"And the one occupying the first seat is Clarisse De Valiene, the Grand Prefect."
Hearing this, Brandon's eyes squinted in thought "Maybe you can go and see her in the the Council of Seven hall, she must be there..."
With the conversation going on, they continued eating...
---
In the Headmistress office, Esmery was looking through the documents in the computer in front of her.
Suddenly her eyes squinted and her gaze flickered to the door.
*THOOM* Breaking the door, someone stepped in and Esmery could only sigh helplessly "How many times do I have to tell you, enter in normally."
Esemery spoke looking at the black haired woman standing in front of her.
Meanwhile, the woman just shrugged it off and walked to Esemery, sitting on the desk "And where is that guy who awakened?"
Hearing this, Esmery's eyes narrowed "Why are you curious about him."
The woman shrugged "What are you saying? Everyone must be curious about the first male awakener..."
With a wink of her eyes, she spoke "Also, I have an idea of accepting him as my disciple."
Hoh?
---
'Why is she so scared to meet her?'
Brandon could only sigh as he walked through the Academy halls alone and soon reached another building within the ground.
Large, arched doors marked the entrance, engraved with golden patterns that depicted an ascending phoenix... Solvryn Academy's symbol.
This was the Hall of the Seven, the seat of the most powerful student-led organization within the Academy.
Walking to the door, he pushed it open revealing the grandeur of the chamber beyond.
The chamber was vast, circular in design, with a central platform where a long, ornate table stretched.
Seven high-backed chairs lined the table... each representing a member of the Council of the Seven.
And right now, five of the seven seats are empty.
At the far end, seated in the largest chair, was Clarisse De Valienne.
Her crimson eyes flickered up as soon as he entered.
"OHHHH! IS THAT HIM?"
Hearing a cheerful voice, Brandon glanced at the beautiful green haired woman sitting on the chair with green eyes.
She hurriedly stood up from her seat in excitement and dashed to Brandon.
Before he could even react, she jumped into his arms and wrapped her arms around his neck, before leaning forward and taking his lips in a soft kiss.
