Ghost Exorciser: The Oust Fake Heiress Strikes-Chapter 215: games
"As we have planned, we would be visiting the suburbs of the Xila city, where crimson core, night soul, and moon frost herb are found," Richard replied in an enthusiastic voice.
Soon they begin their journey, and on the way, Wade starts to sing, lightening the mood.
"Didn’t know this jackass could sing so well." Fay passed an off-handed comment, making everyone nod their head in unison.
"Hey! You can’t act so mean just because you are on your period." Wade complained, pausing midway.
"Singing is so boring; why not play something thrilling, huh?" Richard, sensing Fay’s anger on the verge of exploding, immediately mediated.
"Good idea!" Layla was the first one to agree, while everyone else just nodded along.
"Let’s play a number game. We all can say numbers in sequence like 1, 2, 3, etc. Each person can only say three or fewer numbers at their turn; the person on whom number 21 would arrive will have to choose between truth and dare." Betty suggested, her eyes gleaming, and everyone understood what was going on.
They exchanged a glance while Lana raised her brow. Mr. Crow whispered through their link.
’They are planning something!’
’I know.’ Lana smirked. ’Wait and watch.’
"Okay! Let’s begin with Wade." Betty said, and others nodded along.
"1, 2, 3," Wade started.
"4, 5.6." Betty followed up.
"7, 8." Quinn’s lazy voice rang out.
"9." Richard looked at Lana with pity.
"10." Layla mischievously looked at Lana.
"11." Fay looked at Lana.
"12," Lana nonchalantly continued.
"13, 14."
"15."
"16."
"17."
"18."
"19, 20." Fay stopped and shot a look of triumph in Lana’s direction.
’How... how did they do it?’ Mr. Crow asked in confusion, and Lana sighed.
’It’s just about calculation, Mr. Crow. Those who are good at math can understand the trick after a few rounds, and those who have played it for long could even trap others.’ Lana’s helpless voice echoed in Mr. Crow’s ears.
"Lana, truth or dare?" Betty asked, and Lana sighed, knowing fully well what they wanted.
They wanted to know who Lana likes, and Lana wasn’t going to give them the satisfaction of knowing.
"Dare."
"Alright, kiss someone on this busy street for 1 minute!" Fay immediately said, and Lana arched her brow.
Mr. Crow’s fur bristled in anger. ’She! She is so malicious!’
’Is she?’ Lana’s face showed no hint of fear; instead, she plucked Mr. Crow from her shoulder and planted a deep kiss on his wings.
Everyone: (;꒪ö꒪) Wow!
Lana’s lips remained plastered on Mr. Crow’s wing for a minute before she placed the shocked Mr. Crow back on her shoulder. "Done."
Wade whistled, "Damn, Lana! That was smart!"
Since Fay didn’t specify whether Lana had to kiss a human or where Lana had to kiss, Lana used the loophole.
Quinn’s eyes flashed, and he smiled faintly.
Lana smirked and said, "This time I will begin."
With that, Lana easily evaded getting trapped. This time, Betty was trapped. She chose the truth.
Lana stared at Betty before asking in a curious voice, "Betty, how much do you love Layla?"
Her question made Betty’s heart skip a beat, and she blessed Lana in her heart a full 100 times.
This woman was amazing!
Layla could feel her heart beating fast as her eyes crashed into Betty’s intense eyes.
"I love her to the point that if we can’t be together in this life, then I will reincarnate another time just to see her again."
Her confession made Fay roll her eyes, while Layla blushed furiously.
Lana gave her a thumbs up and then continued the game.
Along the way, Lana got to know many things she had never known before. Like Richard, even though he belongs to a rich family, he has to earn his own living expenses by working in his company.
Like Betty, who has a stepmother and has a rather complex family background.
There was also Layla, who had a sick grandmother and wanted to break off the sponsorship, but because of her grandmother’s health, she couldn’t.
There was also Quinn. Till now, everyone thought that he might be rich, which was indeed true, but Quinn confirmed something more shocking. His family was far wealthier, and he had enough money to buy off the entire mystic department and his own classmates’ family business without breaking out in sweat!
There was also Fay. She was sponsored, but her sponsor was none other than Axel.
Lana was impressed. Now she somewhat understood Fay’s crush.
But the most shocking one was that Wade and Christina weren’t related. Christina was an orphan whom Wade’s family had raised and adopted once she awakened as a mystic cultivator.
Lana’s thoughts gradually wandered to the day before. In order to prevent their credits from being deducted, everyone had informed Axel about their trip.
He even asked them to be wary of their surroundings. God knows what kind of danger they might encounter.
Since the destination was far, Lana fell asleep, and others didn’t wake her up.
................
"Lana..." A distinct voice echoed in the air, and Lana looked around in confusion.
Her heart tightened when she realized that she was standing in the middle of endless blackness.
"Who? Mr. Crow? Are you here?" Lana asked.
"Lana... help..." A choked feminine voice made Lana’s heart tighten.
"Layla?" Lana asked in a slightly worried voice.
"Yes! Lana, help! Please!" Layla’s voice sounded desperate, almost afraid.
"Don’t be scared! Where are you? Let me know!" Lana asked, looking around.
"Lana! Lana, it’s too late now! You... you remember, the denser the area, the more dangerous it is! Okay?" Layla murmured.
"Layla... what are you saying?" Lana asked in confusion.
"Lana... also tell Betty I loved her! Genuinely! And please look after my grandma for me, alright?" Layla sounded worried and afraid at the same time.
Lana started to run around in the endless darkness. "What are you saying? Layla, where the heck are you?"
"Lana, don’t bother... just remember... you have to leave this place in two days! They will know! And I don’t blame you! Whatever I did was out of my own will!"
