Ghost Exorciser: The Oust Fake Heiress Strikes-Chapter 330: Crystal
The girl smirked. "Oh? If that’s the case, then pay ten million dollars for this cream."
Lana’s smile faded, her expression cooling. "From what I understand, this cream shouldn’t be worth more than fifty thousand."
The girls exchanged startled glances.
They had never expected Lana to know the actual price.
In fact... they had just exposed their own mistake.
When Lana had been inside the cubicle earlier, she had overheard the girls whispering about the price.
They had not realized she was there, and in their careless chatter they mentioned that a single jar of the cream was worth fifty thousand dollars.
So their demand of ten million was not just unreasonable. It was absurd.
A faint smile appeared on Lana’s lips as she looked at them and spoke calmly,
"I’m willing to pay one hundred thousand for it. Can you sell me one?"
She tilted her head slightly, as if making a generous concession.
"It doesn’t even have to be a new set. I don’t mind taking a used one either."
The girl who had mocked her earlier stiffened, embarrassment flashing across her face before quickly turning into anger.
Being exposed so directly made her feel as though someone had slapped her in public.
"I’m not selling it to you," she snapped.
The other girls nodded in agreement, their expressions sour. A few of them whispered among themselves, not bothering to lower their voices.
"With how she looks, she really does need this cream..."
Lana heard every word.
Yet she knew those remarks were born from jealousy, not truth.
She was not being narcissistic, nor was she flattering herself.
Lana knew very well that her face was naturally symmetrical.
That had been one of the main reasons she became famous as a child artist in the first place.
Cameras loved balance, and her features had always carried that rare harmony.
She smiled again, unbothered.
"So you’re not planning to sell the cream to me after all?"
The girls ignored her deliberately, turning their backs as if she did not exist.
Lana let out a soft sigh, then turned around and muttered just loudly enough to be heard,
"What a bummer. Scammers like this actually exist in Shadowridge University. It would’ve been better if I hadn’t come here for this exchange program."
She shook her head lightly. "I suppose I should spread the word. You call others beggars but behave like scammers yourselves."
The girls spun around, faces flushed with anger.
"What did you just say?" one of them demanded. "If you have something to say, then say it to our faces!"
Lana laughed softly, the sound light yet cutting.
She turned back, met their gaze directly, and replied, "I don’t need courage to mock you to your face. But I do want to say one thing."
Her expression cooled.
"Basic etiquette is something this university severely lacks."
The girl’s anger flared. "If you hate it so much, then leave! Just leave!"
Lana nodded as if that was the most reasonable suggestion in the world.
"If it weren’t for the exchange program, I wouldn’t stay here even a day."
She glanced around the restroom with faint disdain.
"With attitudes like yours, I truly wonder how Shadowridge University manages to rank internationally."
With that, she turned and walked toward the door.
Behind her, the girls were so furious that they shouted insults, calling her nothing but a bitch.
Lana did not even slow her steps. She simply shook her head and replied, "Another example of lacking basic etiquette."
"We’re going to report you to the principal!" one of them yelled.
Lana raised her phone casually and waved it without turning back. "Go ahead. I’ve recorded everything."
Then she walked out calmly, the door closing behind her with a soft click.
She already knew they would not complain. They understood very well who had been in the wrong. They could not risk exposing themselves.
That was why she could remain completely carefree.
Mr. Crow glanced at Lana with visible concern as they walked across the campus.
"This university is even worse than I thought," he muttered. "It’s better if we don’t stay here any longer."
For the first time, Lana agreed silently.
The people here behaved like bandits waiting to exploit others, looking down on everyone as if they were ants, when in truth they were no better themselves.
She could not help but wonder why an institution like Shadowridge University held such prestige yet had a low ranking, while Spineridge University continued to advance far ahead.
After returning to her apartment that evening, Lana resumed cultivating.
Night had just settled when Axel arrived, bringing with him the resources needed for her breakthrough.
The moment Lana saw the herbs, a memory surfaced, the searing pain of consuming them directly, the way it had once felt like her meridians were being torn apart.
Not to mention she was still participating in the exchange program.
"I’ll break through later," she said. "There’s no need to rush."
However, Axel shook his head, his expression unusually excited.
"You don’t have to delay the breakthrough just because you think it will take too long."
He reached into his sleeve and took out a crystal ball.
Lana froze when she saw it, its surface glowing faintly like captured moonlight. She looked at Axel in confusion.
"What is that?"
Axel smiled. "This is compensation I obtained for you."
Seeing her puzzled expression, he continued,
"I heard about how the Mystic Cultivator class has been ostracizing you. I also learned about the incident in the girls’ restroom, including how they tried to scam you."
Lana’s eyes widened slightly.
"I presented the matter directly to the principal," Axel added calmly. "And demanded compensation."
She stared at him, stunned. She had never mentioned any of it, yet he had already uncovered everything.
"What does the crystal do?" she asked quietly.
Axel lifted the crystal, its glow reflecting in his eyes. "This is extremely difficult to obtain. It can accelerate time, at least, from your body’s perspective." 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Lana frowned. "What does that mean?"
