Chapter 1091: War Against the Phoenix Phalanx

Tundra knelt beside Raze as he observed her condition first.

He clenched his teeth as he saw her trembling form. Her breaths were shallow, her lips pale, and her armor was cracked beyond repair. She looked like she had been dragged through hell itself.

But what made his chest clench most was the sight of her left side, her arm was gone. The stump was wrapped in scorched cloth, blood crusted around the wound.

"Stay with me, Raze..." he muttered, pulling open his satchel. He didn’t have a panacea, no miracle cure that could instantly restore her.

What he had were elixirs, expensive concoctions he had traded for at obscene prices from high‑ranking Survivors who preyed on desperation.

The System’s Marketplace was truly a place where you could become rich or poor.

Indeed, each vial had cost him more than he wanted to admit, marked up in the market by profiteers who knew how badly people needed them.

He uncorked the first vial, a Vital Essence Elixir, and carefully tilted it to her lips. The liquid shimmered faintly, and Raze swallowed weakly. Soon, color finally returned to her cheeks, but only slightly.

Next came a Blood Renewal Draught, designed to stabilize circulation and stop internal bleeding. He poured it slowly, watching her chest rise and fall more evenly.

"Good, Raze... You’re going to recover." Tundra said as she saw Raze’s eyes... It was as if she had already given up on her life.

Finally, he used a Soul Mend Tonic, the rarest of the three. It was meant to repair soul fractures, something mystical but certainly effective since it could literally increase Spirit Points aside from any internal injuries...

He had bought it at triple the normal price, but since even Anna couldn’t make such tonics, he had no choice but to purchase this thing...

The effects were gradual. Raze’s trembling eased, her breathing steadied, and finally her eyes changed a little...

Soon, Tears streaked her face, but she was alive.

"Tundra..." she whispered, her voice hoarse.

He leaned closer and put her in a more comfortable position. "Don’t speak too much. Save your strength."

But her hand gripped his wrist weakly.

"Roan... they took him. He’s alive, but... bound. I felt it. The talismans didn’t kill him. They captured him."

Tundra’s eyes hardened. "Alexander."

Raze nodded faintly, her expression twisted with pain and fury. "They want him for his blood. For his power. Without Roan... I’m nothing. A Dragon Knight without her dragon. And now... without my arm."

Tundra clenched his fists. He could understand Raze’s train of thought.

"You’re not nothing. You’re still Raze. And we’ll get Roan back."

He then opened the clan chat as he needed to inform the others.

[ Tundra: Shane. I found Raze. She’s alive, but Roan was taken. Alexander’s Phoenix Phalanx captured him. And... Raze lost her arm. ]

The reply came instantly as Shane seemed to be waiting for an update as well.

[ Shane: WHAT?! ]

Another message followed, rapid and furious.

[ Shane: That bastard! He maimed Raze and stole Roan? This is unforgivable. ] 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Shane could never forgive something like that.

Raze was their Vice Clan Leader. Furthermore, Roan himself was valuable and was also part of the Clan. Roan had given them Dragon Blood and allowed them to produce numerous potions that could empower even the weakest members of their shelter. They must save him!

[ Shane: Alexander has crossed a line. We will make him pay.]

Tundra nodded and replied.

[ Tundra: Raze confirmed it herself. Roan is alive, but bound. We need to move. ]

[ Shane: Understood. I’ll delay the Providence voyage. This takes priority. ]

Moments later, Shane’s announcement appeared in clan chat, reaching every member of the Eclipse Revenant Clan.

[ Shane: Listen up, everyone. Effective immediately, all members of the Phoenix Phalanx are KILL ON SIGHT. This is for Raze, and for Roan. They dared to ambush one of our own, steal her dragon, and maim her. We will hunt them down, every last one. No mercy. ]

The chat erupted with responses.

[ Jillian: Kill on sight. Understood.]

[ Max: For Raze!]

[ Diana: Yes! For Roan too! ]

[ Lysandra: Alexander dies. ]

[ Kael: I will find and curse them all... ]

[ Tessa: I will be hunting all their members. Don’t worry. ]

[ Jaxon: I only know one of their Shelter. Anyone knows the location of others? It would be great if it’s in Sector 15 to 20. ]

[ Layla: I know their Shelter in Sector 15 and 19. I read about it in the chat. Their Sector 15 Shelter is near the Green Lake, while the Sector 19... it should be small. ]

Shane’s final message sealed it.

[ Shane: Prepare yourselves. This is war.]

Tundra closed the chat and looked back at Raze. She was still weak, but the elixirs were working. Her aura flickered faintly, stabilizing.

"You’ll recover," he said firmly. "It’ll take time, but you’ll live. Those elixirs cost me a fortune, but I’d pay it again. You’re not dying here."

Raze’s lips curved into a faint smile. "Yes... I will get my revenge."

She then tried to sit up, wincing as pain lanced through her body.

"Alexander... he’ll definitely bleed Roan. He’ll use him to make potions or craft some equipment with his scales... whatever he can. We can’t let that happen."

Tundra nodded. "We won’t. Shane’s already declared war. The clan will mobilize for sure... But first, you need to heal enough to move. I’ll guard you until then. You need to return first. Your arm..."

Raze wryly smiled as she knew that she would be able to get a decent limb later. The Ivory Gear Shelter specializes in that after all. If she paid enough money, she might even get an even stronger left arm.

Hours passed as Tundra tended to her, feeding her small doses of elixirs, binding her wounds, and keeping watch.

Finally, Raze’s strength returned enough for her to speak clearly. "I think I can move easily now... Let’s go."

Tundra turned to her and nodded. "Alright... Let’s get out of this place. The next fight against the Phoenix Phalanx will be a siege. You have to fully recover before that happens."
