Days passed, and Lysandra's convoy finally reached the outskirts of Blue Salt Shelter. The once‑thriving refuge was now under the control of Tara and the Phoenix Phalanx Clan.

Its walls were lined with guards and banners of the Phoenix Phalanx fluttering with the wind…

Lysandra stood at the front of her force as she looked at the situation.

Obviously, they had already been noticed…

However, they weren't showing hostility or even their affiliation, so Tara was being careful.

"It's not a big shelter…" Lysandra muttered.

She was already aware that it had about 130 members of the Phoenix Phalanx. Eliminating them here wouldn't be a huge blow to the Clan but it would still affect their operations.

"This should be easy." Lysandra muttered.

Behind her, the convoy of four hundred survivors prepared for battle. Fifty of them were Super Soldiers, their bodies enhanced to a higher level.

Two hundred more had consumed Dragon's Veil, the potion infused with dragon blood that boosted their strength beyond mortal limits.

The rest were hardened veterans, each at least level forty-five or strength with similar level.

And then there were the Warden Units. One hundred androids, deployed from massive transport trucks. Their eyes glowed faintly as they powered up… Soon, they all started moving…

They were Shane and Cloud's creations, designed for war, and now they stood ready to crush Phoenix Phalanx's defenses.

Lysandra raised her hand. "Deploy the Wardens."

The androids marched forward in perfect synchronization…

Even their heavy steps shook the ground.

At this point, Tara and the others were shocked!

No conversation or negotiation at all! They were already seeing marching mechanical soldiers…

"Shit… What is this unruly behavior?! Barbarians!" Tara shouted as she was already planning to offer something good for the negotiation…

However, the enemies were just planning to attack them!"

"You'll regret this!"

Tara frowned as she gave instructions to her people.

Soon, the defenders on the walls shouted in alarm, scrambling to prepare. Tara's warriors rushed to man the gates with their weapons ready…

Just like that, the battle began with a loud explosion!

Apparently, their barrier had just blocked a massive ball of fire from a spellcaster!

It didn't end there as several more Spells were released and in less than 30 seconds, their mobile Barrier Generator lost its energy.

It was at this point that the Warden Units were caught in various wooden traps but it barely affected their advance! Their rifles started firing at the defensive emplacements.

On the other hand, the guards or Phoenix Phalanx fighters retaliated, unleashing arrows, bullets, and spells, but the mechanical soldiers in front absorbed the blows.

Their formation was unbreakable. It was like they seeing a moving wall of steel that could never be destroyed!

Of course, there was a limit to how much they could endure.

Because of that, Sona finally decided to act.

She stepped into the battlefield. Soon, her frost magic swept across the battlefield.

She conjured blizzards that froze enemy lines, locking weapons in ice and slowing movements to a crawl. Her ice chains also started churning out, binding groups of Phoenix warriors together, leaving them helpless before the advancing Wardens.

Indeed, she was only acting as a support!

"This is too easy…" Sona mused as she realized that no one on the enemy side was doing anything about her spells.

If it were their shelter, there should be spellcasters who would be trying to counter her by now.

"Don't waste too much Spirit Energy. I think this Shelter isn't well prepared." Lysandra reminded.

"Got it!"

Otto also followed with his Fire Spells. His flames created more chaos across the battlefield, but he made sure that it was in controlled arcs. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

He targeted defensive towers, igniting their supports and forcing archers to leap down in panic.

"Hahaha! Scream more—Ahh…"

Otto stopped from saying more as he realized that it was inappropriate. He sounded too evil.

Nonetheless, his firestorms scattered enemy formations, leaving them vulnerable to the androids' assault.

The four hundred survivors then surged forward behind the Wardens.

The Super Soldiers smashed through barricades, their enhanced strength also easily broke the walls and scattered defenders.

Those who had consumed Dragon's Veil fought with ferocity, their blades could cut shields in half!

Of course, the members of the Phoenix Phalanx would go down so easily.

"Formation!"

"We have the blessing of the phoenix! Do not be afraid of injuries!"

"Kill the invaders!"

The Phoenix Phalanx fought desperately.

Tara's lieutenants rallied their forces, unleashing talismans and enchanted weapons. Explosive items detonated against the Wardens, shaking their frames, but the androids pressed on…

Soon, Phoenix mages hurled, or what seemed like, mages started throwing fireballs and lightning! However, Sona's frost shields and Otto's counter‑flames neutralized their attacks.

"Alright… Let me join now." Lysandra herself strode into the battle with her own blade.

She didn't even use her Legendary Blade as it would cost her a lot of Spirit Points. She simply used a Master-Grade Silver Blade.

It was already enough for her!

She cut down Phoenix warriors while also sparing innocents who cowered in the streets. Her orders were clear… eliminate Phoenix Phalanx members, but spare the civilians.

There was no need to kill those who weren't part of the enemy clan after all.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Soon, the clash raged through the shelter.

Streets became battlegrounds, warehouses erupted in flames, and the cries of battle echoed against the walls.

Yet the tide was unmistakable.

The Wardens pressed forward, overwhelming every defense. Behind them, the soldiers fought with unity, and as they do so, they seemed unstoppable.

Within an hour, the Phoenix Phalanx lines began to collapse.

Their warriors fell one by one, and their leaders were soon subdued as their defenses were shattered. Tara herself was nowhere to be seen. She had probably fled or was hiding somewhere. However, it didn't matter anymore since her fellow clan members would surely betray her soon.

Lysandra raised her voice above the chaos.

"Capture those members of the Phoenix Phalanx who were still lucky to survive. Innocents are to be spared. This shelter belongs to us now!"

Her soldiers obeyed.

The injured but surviving Phoenix fighters were dragged from hiding places, bound in chains, and thrown into makeshift prisons.

Of course, civilians were reassured, guided to safety, and spared the wrath of battle.

All this time, the Wardens stood guard with their glowing eyes scanning for resistance.

Sona finally approached Lysandra after finishing her task...

"Commander, the defenses are neutralized. The Wardens will just hold the perimeter for now…"

Otto smirked… "And if anyone tries to rise again, I'll burn them down."

Lysandra nodded. "Good. We'll use this base for now… I'm sure that the Phoenix Phalanx will send their troops as well. Prepare the Barrier Generators."

***

By dawn, Blue Salt Shelter had completely transformed. The banners of Phoenix Phalanx were torn down. It was not replaced by the banner of the Eclipse Revenant as they decided to make Alexander guess who they were.

Well, Alexander could probably tell that it was Shane's forces if he considered it thoroughly, but it didn't matter.

Soon, the streets were quiet, the civilians spared, and the captured warriors were finally eliminated after Lysandra got the information she needed.

Then, Lysandra walked through the shelter... It was quite small, but it was definitely in a good position. It would be easy to defend in case Alexander retaliated.

"Alexander… your fortress is next." She muttered.

***

Inside the heart of Ghoul Shelter, Alexander sat in his war chamber...

Reports started streaming in from his scouts and messengers, each one more troubling than the last. It was all information regarding all the shelters under their control.

Finally, one message made him frown.

Blue Salt Shelter had fallen.

The supply chain was severed, the Phoenix Phalanx banners torn down, and the survivors there subdued. The report was clear... the attackers were disciplined, enhanced, and supported by advanced technology.

Alexander's eyes narrowed.

"Unknown forces… no. This reeks of Shane."

He rose from his seat, pacing across the chamber. Shane's name had become a shadow over their plans ever since the man became the Top 1 Survivor.

He was a rival whose growing strength threatened the Phoenix Phalanx's dominance. The use of androids, the mech frames, and other super soldiers was all marks of Shane's forces.

Alexander clenched his fist. "So, he's finally making his move. He'll come to Ghoul Shelter soon. Tsk... This is faster than what we expected. The potions aren't ready yet."

He turned to his lieutenants... "Prepare the special forces. I want our elite units mobilized immediately. The Shadow Talons, the Bloodfang Marauders, and the Iron Veil Assassins... all of them. If Shane thinks he can march on us, he'll find himself facing more than chained Tyrants."

The lieutenants bowed, rushing to carry out his orders.

Alexander's gaze shifted to the fortress walls, where the Armored Tyrant Zombies patrolled endlessly.

He muttered to himself, "You can take all our small shelters, Shane, but Ghoul Shelter is no ordinary shelter. And with three clans at my side, you'll bleed before you ever reach Roan."

His lips then curled into a cold smile.
