Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle-Chapter 572: Caught
The Mana Stone deposit was still deep inside the cave that Shane just located but with his perception and other abilities, he was able to confirm that he was sensing Mana Stones… They were something that could only be found in the Fairy Realm Apocalypse.
Shane then reached out to move the rock blocking the entrance of the small cave.
It was warm.
Not just warm, it was actually brimming with energy! Shane knew that this hidden cave would give him a pleasant surprise.
He then pushed aside the remaining vines, and soon, it revealed a narrow opening.
There was a faint glow coming from within and it was no doubt that they were Mana Stones.
"Incredible… It had already developed so much." Shane muttered in excitement.
With careful steps, he entered the passage.
He wanted to see how big this deposit was. Furthermore, he already commanded Silver to come here through their soul connection. Needless to say, Silver’s assistance to collect these Mana Stones would be invaluable. Shane needed his pet’s assistance for that.
Anyway, inside the cave was surely filled with mana. He knew for a fact that staying here would enhance his body. This place itself was a treasure.
If possible, he really wanted to take this cave outside. However, that was simply impossible.
Looking around, Shane noticed that the walls of the cavern were embedded with crystalline formations—not just any crystals, but Mana Stones.
There were hundreds of them just within the vicinity.
As he continued to send out his Heightened Awareness Skill, Shane confirmed that the cavern was vast, stretching further than he expected.
’As long as I can mine them, we will have no problem with our money anymore.’ Shane mused as he knew that he no longer had to hold back selling his Spirit Stones if he was able to take all of the Mana Stones here.
Speaking of which, Shane immediately grabbed one of the mana stones sticking out of the cave wall and broke it.
Crack…
Just like that, he was able to obtain a fist-size Mana Stone… Without hesitation, he stored it in his Inventory to see if it would be recognized as Spirit Stones.
[ High-Purity Mana Crystal: A crystal infused with pure mana even without refinement. It can be used as a pure mana source, enchantments, soul energy recovery, and spirit energy recovery.
Mana Units Available: 20,000 ]
"Whoaa… Even in Fairy Realm Apocalypse, I’ve never seen anything like this." Shane muttered as he saw the description of the item.
There were four types of Mana Stones in the Fairy Realm.
They were the Basic or Unrefined Mana Stone, Refined Mana Stone, Low-Purity Mana Stone, and High-Purity Mana Stone.
The basic ones are the ones that could be found in most Mana Deposits. After processing them, they would be called Refined Mana Stone…
On the other hand, the Low-Purity and High Purity Mana Stones weren’t something that could be refined. They were found as is and their difference was simply the amount of Mana they could store.
A fist-size Low-Purity Mana Stone could have about 5,000 Mana Units but the High-Purity Mana Stone with a similar size could store 20,000 Mana Units.
What Shane liked about the Mana Stone even more was the fact that it could not only recover Spirit Energy but also Soul Energy or in this case, life points!
"This is incredible… I should try collecting some of them now." Shane muttered. As he started pulling out the Mana Stones with his bare hands.
Well, this is only possible for someone like him with Strength Points at the four digits already.
Some were small, no bigger than pebbles, while others were massive, towering over him like obelisks. These larger stones must definitely crushed to become usable again.
’Still… I don’t have any artifacts that could harness Mana Stones. Using it as a fuel is still not possible.’ Shane thought but he immediately recalled the number of Elves working for him.
There were about 30 of them and they should be able to help him with his problem!
Shane immediately felt excited after recalling this. After all, his Anima Store wouldn’t be able to help him with the creation of artifacts since it could only make advanced mechanical devices or equipment.
At this time, he was already imagining what he would do to these Mana Stones.
Crafting powerful artifacts and weapons, enhancing spells and abilities, fueling magic-powered machinery, or even increasing the cultivation speed of his Spellcasters!
"Should I postpone the raid?" Shane murmured as he knew that the elves needed more time to create something that could harness the power of the Mana Stone.

As he considered what to do next, a blur of silver zipped toward him. It was bouncing across the ground and he almost failed to see it.
Silver, his faithful Metal Slime, had arrived. Furthermore, this slime seemed to have gotten stronger!
’Did it absorb so much mana in the lake?’ Shane thought as he caught the slime in his arms.
"You’re just in time, buddy," Shane said.
"We have some serious mining to do. Think you can help? I need these Mana Stones." Shane said as he showed his harvest.
Silver vibrated in response. Its metallic surface also seemed to shine as if to say that it was happy to see him.
Without hesitation, it hopped toward the mana stones. Then, Shane watched as it suddenly formed multiple hammer-like appendages!
"Ohhh… you can do that?" Shane’s eyes widened as he saw this. He had never seen Silver transform like this, after all.
It seemed that Silver could actually work in the smithy as well at this rate.
Shane chuckled. "Always so eager. Alright, let’s get to work."
With Silver hammering away at the stone and absorbing loosened Mana Stones into its semi-liquid body, Shane manually collected the extracted crystals, transferring them into his System Inventory.
The work was quite easy for them since they both have incredible strength. It was even relaxing at some point since they could enjoy the thick mana that seemed to be refining their bodies.
It was such an incredible experience for them.
Time passed quickly as the two started mining.
Yet they had only mined a fraction of what lay within.
The deeper part of the cave still held so many untapped veins of Mana Stones, waiting to be mined.
Of course, Shane already informed Cloud to remind him once he could visit this realm again.
Checking his internal timer, he realized he had just an hour left before being transported back to reality.
"Alright, Silver, that’s enough for today," Shane said as he stretched his arms. "Let’s head back to the World Tree."
Silver gurgled in response, spitting out a few more collected stones before following Shane.

Upon their return, the sight that greeted Shane made him smile.
The vast fields around the World Tree now had neat rows of freshly planted seeds. Their placement was incredibly precise as if Axis used a ruler. Shane felt that Axis had an OCD on these things, so it seemed that it was a good thing that he allowed her to just work on it.
Seeing their return, Axis fluttered over, looking particularly smug.
"All done! You should praise me more, you know."
Shane chuckled. "I expected nothing less from the great Guardian of this realm."
Axis puffed up her tiny chest, pleased with the acknowledgment. "Hmph! Well, at least you know how amazing I am."
At this time, Shane took a few things out of his System Inventory.
"Take this…" Shane said as he handed over some jerky, canned fruit cocktail, spicy stew, and honey…
They were some of the foods he purchased in the Nourishment Store.
He knew that Axis didn’t require eating as long as she was being nourished by Mana. However, it doesn’t mean that they could not eat at all.
Perhaps, giving something new to the Fairy would make her happy.
"Ohhh… What are these?! Ahh… Are they my rewards? Hehe… Thank you, Lord Shane!" Axis said as she accepted the gifts.
With the crops taken care of and his mining completed, Shane decided to spend his last hour fishing!
Soon, Shane made his way to the crystal-clear lake and he pulled out a simple but sturdy fishing rod from his inventory.
It was an item he had obtained long ago but could never be used due to some obvious reasons.
Just like that, Shane sat by the water’s edge and used a small piece of Unknown Meat as bait before he let the line fly out…
’I guess this is my first time using my Fishing Skill.’ Shane wryly smiled as he realized that the Fishing Skill he obtained several months ago would only be used now.
Not long after, the line jerked, and Shane pulled back, reeling in his first catch—a large, silver-scaled fish with faint bioluminescent patterns.
"Ohh… As expected of the Mana Lake." Shane was filled with awe, after seeing the first even fish he had caught…
