Global Awakening: Infinite Gift Pack System-Chapter 123: Farming of Points
The group stared at Kai, knowing it was definitely a generous offer. They couldn’t miss this!
Since it was only a single Survivor Medal, Farrah believed that these items were worth the price since they weren’t easy to obtain in the first place.
Furthermore, they wouldn’t find any other Survivor who would be willing to do such a trade with them. Perhaps, Kai was the only one who could do this considering the fact that finding a Gene Trader wasn’t easy as well!
After all, the system had already mentioned before that the Gene Trader would be close to the Tyrants!
It meant that finding them could be extremely dangerous, and they already knew how strong those Tyrants were since one of them had almost annihilated their Haven-62.
It was only with Kai’s help that they managed to survive.
Without a doubt, this offer was definitely acceptable!
"That’s... generous... If that’s the case, I’ll also donate one Survivor Medal... But if possible, I want you to add night vision goggles and a few more smoke grenades..." Farrah immediately said.
Alfie smirked faintly at her boldness... "Always pushing for more, huh?"
Kai chuckled, shaking his head. "You drive a hard bargain. But yes, I can arrange that. Night vision goggles, extra smoke grenades... That’s doable. If you’re willing to donate, I’ll make sure you get what you need."
The six locals exchanged glances, envy flickering in their eyes. They had no Medals to offer, but watching Alfie and Farrah negotiate made them realize just how valuable those Medals were.
If they could help these two get those Medals, perhaps, they would also share whatever items they’d trade for them.
Kai’s gaze swept over them, and he decided to complete the transaction now.
"Then give me the Medals now."
Farrah and Alfie exchanged a glance, then opened their System Inventory.
A moment later, the metallic coins were placed in Kai’s hand.
They weren’t ordinary coins. Each was forged from copper or what seemed like one. They were also heavier than expected, and each of them was about two and a half inches in diameter.
Furthermore, the engraved human head on their surface seemed to stare back...
Kai closed his fist around the Medals, then gestured for them to follow.
"Come. I don’t keep supplies in the kitchen. We’ll go outside."
He led them out of the kitchen and across the courtyard to a smaller building. Inside, crates were stacked neatly, each marked and catalogued with the items Kai had stockpiled.
"Wait here..." Kai said, gesturing outside the building.
Soon, started opening one after another until he had gathered the promised items.
For Alfie’s Medal, Kai laid out a revolver with thirty rounds of ammunition.
Beside it, he placed a sleeping bag, a folding bicycle with its helmet, and a camouflage suit... It was exactly as Alfie had requested. Then, to keep the trade fair, Kai added two sturdy hatchets, a smoke grenade, and a compact medical kit.
After all, Farrah requested some additions as well.
Then, for Farrah’s Medal, Kai provided the same baseline package... A revolver with thirty rounds, a sleeping bag, a folding bicycle with a helmet, and a camouflage suit. Then, honoring her request for additions, he set down a pair of night vision goggles and three smoke grenades."
"Alright. Since the first transaction ever... I will reward you at the very least." Kai said as he also included a firestarter and a flashlight with spare batteries.
"These are yours," Kai said firmly.
Farrah’s eyes widened as she picked up the goggles. This was perfect for her. Alfie also tested the revolver’s weight and smiled in satisfaction.
"This feels nice..." Alfie admitted.
Soon, the group finally returned to the main building... Kai wanted to hand them over to Irene to give them a tour around the place.
However, before Kai could do so, a patrolman rushed in. He should be part of Wallace’s team.
"Sir Kai! Claire’s team is planning to visit the Gene Trader again. She wants to borrow one of the Armored Cars." The man said.
"I see... Wait for me..." Kai replied. Then, he noticed that these words shocked the two other Survivors.
"Ahhh,,, Did I not mention that we have access to one of the Gene Traders? Anyway... I’m planning to join Claire’s team. She’s one of the captains of the Assault Teams."
"We want to go too!" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
"Please let us join!"
Kai looked at the two with a smile and nodded.
Just like that, the two armored cars left the shelter once again, and after a few minutes, they rumbled to a stop at the edge of the cemetery...
One car carried Claire’s Assault Team.
The other vehicle held Kai, Farrah, Alfie, and Atom...
As the doors opened, Kai stepped out first. His eyes swiftly scanned the ruined cemetery and confirmed that there was no one around.
"Alright," Kai said, turning to Farrah and Alfie. "Before we start farming for experience points, you two can go ahead and interact with the Gene Trader. You should be getting some achievement reward or something for meeting one and doing a transaction."
Farrah and Alfie exchanged a glance, confused by his phrasing.
Farming experience points?
It wasn’t something they had heard before, but Kai spoke with such certainty that they didn’t question it. Instead, they nodded and moved toward the broken mausoleum where the Gene Trader waited.
The figure inside was unsettling. He had a dark cloak and was surrounded by strange relics...
They weren’t sure if it was on purpose, but the Gene Trader’s presence radiated both opportunity and danger, sending a chill through them.
For a moment, Farrah felt her nerves tighten.
"Why does it have to look so terrifying?" she muttered.
Alfie grinned and lightened the mood. "Honestly, I’d be more suspicious if the Gene Trader looked like some cheerful beauty in a bikini. At least this way, we know it’s serious."
Farrah snorted before she finally stepped forward, ready to see what could be purchased.
