"Help, help me, please..." A faint voice reached Charles's ears. He turned to look at the Level 6 Haunted Marsh Beast Master lying motionless on the ground, his arms torn off and blood flowing uncontrollably.

Charles slowly walked over to the Beast Master who was begging for help. He took out a bottle of Miracle Drug and examined it. It was Purple Quality.

After a moment of thought, Charles put the Purple Quality drug back into his Jet Ring and replaced it with a bottle of Blue Quality Miracle Drug.

Using a Purple Quality drug to save this suicidal Haunted Marsh Beast Master seemed like too much of a waste. If not for the need to leave behind a witness, Charles wouldn't have bothered to help him.

The Blue Quality drug would be enough to keep him alive temporarily.

With that, Charles roughly poured the Blue Quality Miracle Drug into the Beast Master's mouth. While it could heal some of his injuries, the recovery was minimal.

Once Charles finished, other Beast Masters from the town began to appear.

The bloody scene in the forest made many of them widen their eyes in shock, and some Beast Masters even felt nauseous, nearly vomiting.

Rex also appeared in the crowd. He didn't react much to the bloody scene and seemed quite accustomed to it.

He looked down at the bodies on the ground, then gave Charles a thumbs-up and said,

"Impressive! I didn't know you had this kind of strength, brother. From what I saw, these bodies on the ground weren't killed with weapons. It was just raw physical strength. You managed to do this—you're even stronger than me!"

Another unfamiliar Beast Master pointed at the body of a Level 6 Haunted Marsh Beast Master on the ground and loudly said,

"I know this guy. He's a Level 6 Haunted Marsh Beast Master. He beat me up once before. I never thought he'd end up dead here!"

Soon, Beast Masters from the Abyssal Depths in the town began to look at Charles with admiration.

They had only been criticizing the Haunted Marsh Beast Masters, but they didn't expect Charles to take action directly. It was impossible not to admire him!

Charles looked at the bodies on the ground and then at the watching Abyssal Depths Beast Masters. He felt a bit helpless. These weren't the people he had killed!

To be honest, Charles just wanted to enter the forest that the Haunted Marsh Beast Masters had sealed off. He never intended to kill any of them.

At this point, Charles no longer felt the need to explain. Once the Haunted Marsh people arrived, the still-breathing Level 6 Beast Master on the ground should be able to clear up everything.

Soon, several streaks of light shot through the dark sky at incredible speed, landing forcefully on the ground, causing the earth to shake with the impact.

Charles's gaze immediately sharpened. Given the overwhelming presence, the person who had arrived was likely a Level 9 Beast Master!

The Level 9 Beast Master was accompanied by several other Beast Masters, who appeared to be Level 8. Their aura was extremely strong.

When they saw the scene in front of them, they were completely stunned.

After about three or four breaths, the first to arrive, the Level 9 Beast Master, let out an enraged roar,

"Who did this?! How dare you attack someone from the Ancient Academy? You're asking for death!"

The aura of a furious Level 9 Beast Master was incredibly powerful. The immense pressure from their presence caused many Abyssal Depths Beast Masters to stagger, and several even knelt to the ground.

Even the Abyssal Depths Level 6 Beast Masters gritted their teeth, struggling to withstand the pressure from the Level 9 Beast Master.

But Charles and Rex barely reacted; they seemed almost unaffected, which stood in sharp contrast to everyone else.

This caught the attention of the furious Level 9 Beast Master, who then turned his gaze to them and asked,

"Speak! What happened?"

Charles extended his hand and pointed at the unlucky Haunted Marsh Beast Master on the ground. The one who had managed to hold on was now on the verge of death due to the pressure from the Level 9 Beast Master's outburst.

Charles said,

"I think we should stabilize him first. If we don't, he'll really die."

The Level 9 Beast Master paused for a moment, then in the next second, his body appeared beside the critically injured Haunted Marsh Beast Master. He took out a bottle of Miracle Drug and began treating him.

Watching as the situation improved, Charles breathed a sigh of relief when the Level 6 Beast Master opened his eyes.

If this guy had died, it would've been impossible to explain.

Thankfully, this Level 6 Beast Master was lucky—he didn't die at William's hands, nor did he die from the pressure caused by his own team's explosion of power.

Once the injured Level 6 Beast Master had recovered enough to speak, the Haunted Marsh Level 9 Beast Master urgently asked,

"What exactly happened?"

"Who killed our student? Who was it?"

The wounded Level 6 Beast Master slowly turned his gaze to Charles, then softly said,

"A person named William. No limbs, sitting in a wheelchair, suddenly attacked us."

Charles listened to the injured Beast Master's response and couldn't help but sneer. It was this guy who had said something he shouldn't have, causing his teammates to be dragged into this mess. Now, he was saying it was someone else's fault.

"Wait?"

Could it be that he thought he would be punished if he told the full truth about what had happened, which was why he hadn't fully explained?

If that was the case...

Sure enough, the Level 6 Beast Master continued,

"My companions and I just wanted to take a walk, but we ran into Charles, who was stirring up trouble with the Abyssal Depths Beast Masters. We had a conflict with him, and then that madman appeared."

"He attacked immediately, killed the others, and then said something about being friends with Charles. I was too badly injured at the time to hear clearly."

Upon hearing this, the Haunted Marsh Level 9 Beast Master quickly scanned the room and finally focused his gaze on Rex and Charles. His face darkened, and he sternly asked,

"You two, who is Charles?"

Charles sighed in resignation. He found himself agreeing with William's earlier words—the Haunted Marsh Beast Masters really had no shame, and they were clearly in the wrong.

But this group, coming to cause trouble for him while twisting the facts, was the epitome of shamelessness. They had even been saved by him and now were repaying him with enmity.

Charles took a step forward, ready to take out the Substitute Mask for the Ten-Person Council just in case this angry Level 9 Beast Master decided to act suddenly. He responded,

"I'm Charles. Your man is hiding the truth; what he's saying is wrong..."

Before he could finish his sentence, the Level 9 Beast Master locked all of his oppressive aura onto Charles alone and cut him off,

"Shut up! I'll investigate the situation myself. You can answer only after I ask!"

This domineering attitude was incredibly irritating.

The pressure from the Level 9 Beast Master?

Charles had already experienced something similar long ago, when Lucas's pressure had been about the same as this Haunted Marsh Beast Master's.

As a result, Charles only felt his heartbeat quicken and his breathing become slightly more labored—no other abnormal reactions.

The Haunted Marsh Level 9 Beast Master clearly hadn't expected this response. Rex, seeing Charles's face only slightly flushed, instinctively said,

"Bro, you're really impressive!"

Though Rex could manage a similar feat, he was a Level 6 Beast Master and had specialized in training his physical strength to enhance his power. Charles, on the other hand, was just a Level 5 Beast Master, yet he could do this.

Facing the gaze of the Haunted Marsh Level 9 Beast Master, Charles, unhurriedly, began to speak, preparing to explain himself.

But as soon as he opened his mouth, he hadn't even spoken his first word.

The Level 9 Beast Master furrowed his brows and, without hesitation, gathered a surge of power, forming a giant hand above Charles's head. The massive hand slowly descended toward him.

This kind of pressure was far more overwhelming than the full force of the Level 9 Beast Master's aura.

The giant hand, as heavy as a mountain, had not yet reached Charles's head when the muscles in his entire body erupted.

Four Hexagram Arrays appeared, and in an instant, Max, Mousie, Mia, and Little Gold transformed into glowing orbs of light and merged into Charles's body.

When the light faded, Charles, now two meters tall, with nine tails at his waist, wings growing from his back, and his arms covered with sharp spines, appeared before everyone!

In his The Affliction of Mutated Beast Mastery state, Charles's physical strength was slightly higher than usual. However, even with this enhancement, as the giant hand slowly descended, Charles could still feel his bones faintly creaking.

He straightened his back inch by inch and let out a furious roar,

"Enough is enough!"

The Level 9 Beast Master from the Haunted Marsh stared at Charles's transformed state in shock. He hadn't expected that a mere Level 5 Beast Master from the Abyssal Depths could understand something as difficult as The Affliction of Mutated Beast Mastery.

Moreover, judging by Charles's current state, this young man's physical strength was also incredibly formidable, placing him among the top even among Level 6 Beast Masters.

However, despite this, he still shouldn't have dared to defy him. After all, he was a Level 9 Beast Master from the Haunted Marsh. Whatever he said, Charles was supposed to follow.

With this thought, the Level 9 Beast Master pressed down slightly on his palm, causing the giant hand in the sky to fall even faster.

Charles, gritting his teeth, glared at the Level 9 Beast Master. This guy was even more arrogant than Lucas had been—completely disdainful and looking down on everyone!

At this rate, Charles knew he wouldn't die. The Haunted Marsh Beast Master didn't intend to kill him, but he would definitely crush every bone in his body, leaving him unable to move for a long time.

If that happened, Charles would miss out on the opportunity regarding The Lnfinity Lsles.

Taking a deep breath, Charles knew what he had to do. He was going to use the Substitute Mask for the Ten-Person Council!
