Chapter 54: Chapter 54 Evolutionist (Part 2)_1
“All right, get up now! Once you’ve absorbed all this Spiritual Energy, you’ll find yourself a lot stronger,” the Mutated Parrot said.
Chen Dalong stood up, seemingly reluctant for the experience to end.
At this moment, he no longer doubted the words that the Mutated Parrot had previously said.
If he could keep receiving Spiritual Energy like this, getting stronger by the minute, then in three days’ time, his physical strength might truly reach that of a Mutated Wild Boar.
“Okay, now that you’ve personally experienced the effects of Spiritual Energy channeling, work hard and accumulate contribution value,”
“When you’ve accumulated enough, you can apply for twenty or thirty more sessions of Spiritual Energy channeling and directly break through to the Second Stage,” the Mutated Parrot said.
“Thank you, Lord, for your guidance. I understand,” Chen Dalong said, his eyes brimming with excitement.
“Alright then, if there’s nothing else, you may leave,” the Mutated Parrot said, waving its wings with a hint of impatience.
“Yes, Lord Parrot,” Chen Dalong quickly responded.
Just as he turned to leave, the voice of the Mutated Parrot came from behind him.
“Oh, and about that Mutated Wild Boar, I’ve had the Bat Messenger take care of it. Consider it a gift for you,”
“Also, your subordinates have been watched over in secret by the other messengers sent by the Dragon Lord. You can find them if you follow the Raven Envoy,” the Mutated Parrot said, then turned and walked away into the depths of Sunset Valley without looking back.
Chen Dalong stood there stunned for a moment before he came to his senses.
He felt an indescribable sense of gratitude and bowed deeply toward the depths of Sunset Valley.
…
“This Loyalty is really not easy to build up! These two grand gifts only managed to increase his Loyalty by 2%,” Ye Feng muttered as he checked the system panel.
Before the capture, after a series of bluffs, he utterly bamboozled Chen Dalong, but even so, after successfully capturing him, his Loyalty was still just 65%.
As he displayed a series of “miracles,” each time the other party was shocked, the Loyalty only increased by a tiny bit.
Even after adding the 2%, his Loyalty had only reached 70%.
In response, Ye Feng could only lament that humans truly deserve their status as the smartest beings on Earth.
However, he wasn’t too worried about this because as long as Loyalty was above 60% and he didn’t issue a suicidal command, he wouldn’t be betrayed.
Of course, Ye Feng wouldn’t fully commit to nurturing Chen Dalong until his Loyalty reached 100%.
But, to be fair, humans’ body size is larger than most animals, so they do have a decent base Talent.
He had just infused Chen Dalong’s body with a full 13 points of Spiritual Energy.
This might be 2 points less than the Mutated Buffalo, but compared to the King Cobra, the Big Yellow Dog, and the eagle, his base attributes were stronger.
Of course, whether he would be able to break through to the Big Realm on his own was another matter entirely.
These thoughts briefly flashed through Ye Feng’s mind before he pushed them aside.
He wasn’t concerned about Chen Dalong’s Talent, as his role for Ye Feng wasn’t as an “enforcer,” but as a bridge connecting him to human society.
Having subdued Chen Dalong was like inserting a hand into human society.
If handled well, developing it into a formidable civilian organization would mean that even if the Mutant Management Bureau were to discover his secret, he would have an additional means of maneuvering.
With that thought, he opened the notepad on his phone and started to revise his subsequent development plan.
…
Meanwhile, Chen Dalong had finally exited the bounds of Sunset Valley, but unlike his previous frantic escape, he was now brimming with high spirits.
He took a deep breath, the fantastical events he had witnessed today were more than all those he had experienced in the previous 30 years combined, making him feel as if he had seen the doorway to a new world.
Gua gua!
Just as he was riding a wave of excitement, the call of a black raven interrupted his high spirits and flew straight toward the distance.
“Raven Envoy, wait for me,” Chen Dalong hurriedly jogged after it.
Soon, he found the body of a Mutated Wild Boar in a dense forest beside the road.
At that time, a massive Bat King was standing atop the carcass, looking down at him from a commanding height.

Chen Dalong couldn’t help but shrink his neck a little.
Even though he now knew that this Bat King was also a subordinate of the Dragon Lord, he had still injured the creature the day before.
He was genuinely afraid that the other would come straight at him with its claws.
Fortunately, what he feared did not happen. After the Bat King saw him arrive, it flapped its wings and flew away.
Chen Dalong let out a sigh of relief and quickly went to examine the Mutated Wild Boar.
Most of the injuries on the Mutated Wild Boar were from gunfire, and there were some bite marks on these wounds, though the bite marks were not large.
Based on his guess, these were likely caused by ordinary Mutated Bats clinging to the wounds and sucking blood.
This was also the main cause of its death.
After a careful observation, he quickly concocted a story in his mind.
“This Mutated Wild Boar was relentless in pursuit, but I counterattacked, causing severe injuries throughout its body.”
“The fresh blood on its body attracted a swarm of Mutated Bats, and in the end, the excessive blood loss led to its death.”
With that in mind, he removed the mini camera from his body and with one stomp, crushed the camera as well as the memory card inside it.
After completing these actions, he turned respectfully to the nearby black raven and said, “Raven Envoy, I wish to search for my subordinates, please guide the way.”
The black raven itself did not move but simply cawed at a small raven beside it, which then quickly took flight and headed into the distance.
Then it stretched out its wing to point first at Chen Dalong, then at the small raven flying away.
Chen Dalong instantly understood; the envoy was sending a subordinate to guide him to his people.
And Chen Dalong had to admit that this method was indeed the best.
After all, with the Raven Envoy’s large size, it would be hard not to be noticed.
What sort of conjectures his own subordinates might make in such a case was anybody’s guess.
But these small ravens were different, though they too had mutated and were much larger than ordinary birds.
But even so, this was still the wilderness with dense trees, and with the plenty of Mutated Beings around, as long as they stayed well hidden, they wouldn’t stand out too much.
Under the guidance of the small raven, the first person he found was actually Li Huosheng.
“Boss, it’s really great that you’re okay,” Li Huosheng said excitedly.
At that moment, he was covered in injuries, but most significantly, his lower leg displayed signs of blackening and suppuration.
“What happened? Are you poisoned?” Chen Dalong quickly knelt down, looked at the injury, and said in surprise.
