Chapter 1347: Chapter 1347: No One Wants to Leave

"Do you think there are many gods who have awakened here? What’s their situation?"

The Moon God glanced at Fang Jie before speaking, "Indeed, there are many. I haven’t been awake for very long, so I don’t know much. I only know there’s a city built by a group of gods in that direction."

A city built by gods? Unexpected, yet somehow reasonable upon reflection.

Even gods can’t just sit around doing nothing all the time. Especially in such special circumstances, they would want to enjoy life a little. Or perhaps, they might enjoy expanding outwards, enlarging their own territory.

Fang Jie asked again to confirm that the Moon God indeed knew nothing more.

However, the Moon God grew anxious, "I still have my uses. I can take you to find those people. They have been awake much longer and should know more than I do."

Concerned that Fang Jie might kill him, the Moon God could only contemplate his remaining usefulness.

Fang Jie cast a glance at this fellow, "Don’t worry, I’m not interested in killing you. Later, you just need to cooperate with me in an experiment." With that, Fang Jie ordered him to be detained.

"What about his territory, should we occupy it?"

If a Divine Puppet loses its territory, the power it loses is proportional. Thus, gods generally won’t give up their territory; it’s either death or eliminating the invader.

But when Fang Jie conducted experiments before, such complex actions could be accomplished.

When a Divine Puppet completely loses its territory, although it won’t perish, it won’t fare well either. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

It appears as if it has entirely lost its Divine Soul, losing even the puppet form, like a broken machine on the verge of breaking down.

"Never mind, let’s leave it for now; it’s not that significant, anyway."

Indeed, occupying merely an Upper God level territory wouldn’t yield much benefit. For him, it’s not very useful and expanding outward is more rewarding. Keeping this guy around might as well serve as an experiment.

Fang Jie thought of an experiment, but he needed more specimens first.

With this fellow’s guidance, it didn’t take long for the group to find the so-called city of gods.

The city appeared very large, but due to the scarcity of materials and the chaotic nature, it looked rugged, reminiscent of something primitively built by Beastmen, just larger.

Though there were some refined areas in the center, they occupied a very small region.

Perhaps over many years, these gods modified it little by little. They might have even used their specialized Divine Power; otherwise, it couldn’t have been transformed like this. However, this process was very slow, and the result was lacking.

Hence, some gods simply chose not to bother with it.

And not every god here reached the peak; usually, they were just at the peak of a particular stage.

There were Middle-Level God Peaks, Upper God Peaks, and even two Supreme Gods. But there was no peak beyond that, and as for Lower Gods, not a single one was seen, as they might not awaken at all.

At Fang Jie’s command, a large force surrounded them completely. As for the two Supreme Gods, Fang Jie personally took action.

With a light press, he completely subdued the two, leaving them utterly astonished.

"How is this possible? You’re not the Spirit God." The two Supreme Gods looked at Fang Jie in shock.

"What is the Spirit God?" Fang Jie truly heard this term for the first time. But now, the two were in Fang Jie’s grasp, unable to resist in the slightest, so they could only comply.

After all, reaching the level of a Supreme God, they were even more averse to death.

They originally thought of eternity, so encountering death was already incredibly unimaginable. A second time would mean total annihilation. Even a Supreme God faces the possibility of complete disappearance.

"Well, the Spirit God is what we call ourselves. It’s when the soul reawakens after death, that’s the Spirit God. The unsummoned ones are just puppets." So that’s it, thought Fang Jie.

"In this state, are you planning to resurrect? Does resurrection have specific requirements?"

The two exchanged glances, then nodded, "There are indeed requirements, but typically no one wishes to revive."

Quickly, Fang Jie learned some of the rules here. First, an awakened god can easily resurrect if their Divine Body remains intact and hasn’t been destroyed. Even without the Divine Body, gods below the Supreme God can do it if they have sufficient faith.

But generally, gods below the Supreme God are unwilling to resurrect.

They know that after resurrection, they would lose their identity and become a Faith God, altered by faith.

Rather than this, they’d rather continue existing in here. While controlled by the God’s Grave, it doesn’t impact them. Moreover, in this place, they aren’t influenced by faith.

Still, they are prepared and haven’t pushed their powers beyond their limits.

Because once they surpass their limit, they have no way to revive.

They’re waiting, hoping for a chance to revive without becoming a Faith God, still yearning for life. After death, they may seem similar to normal gods, yet a special power constantly burns them.

Awakening here isn’t an enjoyment; it’s rather a punishment.

They remain under the relentless erosion of this unique power, and many gods who can’t endure choose to revive.

Fang Jie doesn’t feel this way, but he can see how much they truly detest this feeling.

And after reaching the Supreme God level, if their Divine Body isn’t destroyed, they can awaken after a certain period and easily revive without needing faith. Moreover, revived Supreme Gods cannot be Faith Gods due to the different levels.

However, once the Divine Body is destroyed, it’s truly troublesome; reviving becomes no easy feat.

At the level of a Supreme God, to revive, they must first recreate their body. Even with the intent, achieving this is extremely difficult. Abundant faith or copious materials might be necessary.

This explains why, despite hearing of Supreme Gods reviving, few have witnessed it firsthand.

After all, someone usually preserves a Supreme God’s corpse for some time. Upon obtaining it, they may soon repurpose it. Hence, though witnesses exist, they aren’t plentiful.
