Global Lords: My Heroes Grow Infinitely-Chapter 47: Traitor Within the Chaos Faction
Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Traitor Within the Chaos Faction
"What heroes have you awakened, why not escape in hero form?" Rosen asked immediately.
"Patriarch Tang, it’s easier to be attacked in hero form while escaping. We managed to escape using the army as cover, and fled in human form amidst the chaos. Some of our companions were not so lucky..."
As the girl spoke, she started crying again.
"Don’t cry, you can transform into hero form now. I assure you there’s no danger," Rosen said.
Only then did the three of them enter hero form.
It turned out, one of the two girls was a Little Elf, the other a Flower Fairy, both A-level heroes.
The boy’s hero was a Necromancer, beloved by Death and the Undead, accompanying death.
Rosen took a second look at the pale-faced Necromancer. This is a hero from "Diablo," at level S!
"Let’s first determine which faction they belong to." It’s always wise to be cautious while out, Rosen did this by clicking open the three new icons in the transformation list.
But, when he clicked open the third icon, Rosen paused.
The icon was actually gray?
Rosen looked at the Necromancer again, his face briefly cold.
Without looking at the transformation list, he wouldn’t have known that within Tang Xichen’s classmates, there was a Chaos Faction spy!
The heroes of the Chaos Faction are all modified from those in the Order Faction. This means the Necromancer hero in front of them had already been bribed by the Chaos Faction shortly after activation.
Or, it’s possible that before hero activation, this guy was already a seed cultivated by the Chaos Faction!
Having been intentionally watched a few extra times by Rosen, the boy in Necromancer hero form averted his face slightly, feeling pressured.
He internally questioned whether he had been recognized?
Yet, it’s clear that currently no lord possesses the ability to identify factions, not even Tang Xuanze.
"Patriarch Tang, we didn’t expect to be so lucky to meet you. Shall we form a team temporarily?" the Necromancer said.
Taking the chance to get closer to Tang Xuanze, hitch a ride.
Little did he know, it was Rosen in disguise as Tang Xuanze before him.
"Sure." Rosen replied calmly, while his right hand reached into his pocket to touch the "Lucky Dice."
Chaos Faction, is it? Let’s see if you can survive this game!
Rosen looked at the two girls and asked, "The forest ahead is dangerous, why venture there in the middle of the night? Isn’t daytime the best time for hunting?"
They awakened their heroes at the same time as Tang Xichen, two months ago. It’s impossible they were waiting for the beginner’s protection period to end to venture out.
The Flower Fairy and Little Elf simultaneously pointed at the Necromancer, "It was Mu Shan’s suggestion."
It turned out that during the day, the classmate named Mu Shan discovered five King treasure chests were refreshed in this forest, and gathered people in the class group, eventually pulling in thirteen individuals, each an A-level or higher hero.
Of course, Tang Xichen was also pulled into the group chat, but Tang Xichen chose to exit the group chat immediately.
Later, Mu Shan shared the news of the five King treasure chests in the class chat, and ultimately four classmates agreed to take the risk and go with him.
The two screams heard earlier in the forest were the cries of the other two classmates who were killed.
Rosen glared coldly at Mu Shan, although separated by a mask, his gaze was equally filled with killing intent.
"The forest indeed generated five King treasure chests, it’s true. If you don’t believe me, Patriarch Tang, you can personally check. We’re willing to offer up those five King treasure chests in full, not keeping a single one!"
The Necromancer Mu Shan became nervous, stepping back three steps.
"Alright, let’s go over together then."
The five King treasure chests in the forest weren’t the focus; the issue was the Necromancer from the Chaos Faction was evidently intent on harming classmates.
He must have been aware of the dangerous creatures lurking in the forest.
Knowing there were tigers in the mountains yet choosing to go there, leading a group of A-level and higher classmates to their deaths?
The sounds of combat from the forest gradually diminished, the armies brought by these five new lords combined total no less than two thousand.
Just as they approached the forest, the Necromancer raised both hands high: "Undead, awaken!"
The sinister magic aura was released.
The corpses on the ground began to react, vibrating.
Soon afterwards, blood and flesh erupted from the corpses, with a large number of Skeleton Soldiers crawling out.
There were crawler forms, tree-man forms, and elf forms...
The number reached as high as two thousand!
Good heavens, the armies brought by these classmates, after falling, have all ended up benefiting this Necromancer!
It must be said, the Necromancer truly has an advantage, the more classmates he harms, the more army resources he saves.
The Necromancer glanced again at the army Rosen brought, actually making a gesture to lick his lips.
"This guy, does he even want to covet my army?"
Rosen’s face flashed a hint of cold color.
"Let your Undead Legion scout the way," Rosen said assertively.
Although the Necromancer can summon armies from corpses, he cannot re-summon fallen skeletons, Rosen observed this earlier, indicating that the targets for summoning must be corpses with flesh.
"Undead, scout the way ahead!" the Necromancer immediately commanded, not daring to defy Patriarch Tang’s orders.
As soon as the Undead Legion stepped into the forest, Rosen sensed something was amiss.
It was too quiet, so quiet it felt terrifying!
The crawlers that had wreaked havoc in the forest earlier had made no sound.
Moreover, they seemed to have hidden themselves, as if watching them from the shadows, not visible in the darkness.
Even with the Little Elf using the light-emitting talent to illuminate the entire forest, the only things visible were the chaotic crawler footprints and heaps of bones on the ground!
The necromancer excitedly stared at the corpses on the ground, he had a special fondness for corpses, especially the two classmates’ corpses, their death poses to him were practically art.
"Awaken, undead!"
A simple chant, and from the two classmates’ corpses, blood and flesh exploded, two skeletons in hero form crawled out.
One was a toad-shaped skeleton with the skill to devour.
The other was an Iron Man skeleton with the skill of nanotechnology.
Both heroes were A-level, retaining their original skills even in skeleton form.
The Necromancer, deserving of S-level hero status, with the skill to summon skeletons, has enough to awaken a large number of strong forces to join the battlefield!
Even from a certain perspective, this hero might rival the transformation ability of the Golden Slime.
Of course, the summoned skeletons are extremely fragile, likely to be shattered by a single swipe from the crawlers.
In this regard, the Necromancer’s skill is somewhat diminished in effectiveness.
"How cruel, actually summoning troops from classmates’ corpses!"
"This is so unethical, Patriarch Tang, aren’t you going to stop this?"
The two female classmates were disgraced by Mu Shan’s actions.
Being lured by him, resulting in classmates’ armies perishing, being converted into his army, was already enraging.
But even so, he went on to summon classmate corpses into troops, employing them for his own use, which was extremely displeasing!
"At critical times, it’s about letting them play their part. Who knows if we’ll face the same danger again? I’m forced to do this," the Necromancer justified.
Rosen, although finding it quite unethical, understood the reasoning. If he were part of the Chaos Faction, he too would certainly do the same.
After all, free hero troops shouldn’t be left to waste.
But the problem is, they all belong to the Order Faction, whereas Mu Shan is part of the Chaos Faction, adversaries to each other; it doesn’t make sense faction-wise.
Rosen nonchalantly said, "Mu Shan, continue letting your Undead Legion move deeper."
