Global Survival: I Have Endless Skeletons-Chapter 169: [Bonus - 4/5] Level 20 Gravemind Devourer.
Bang! Bang!
The Undead Storm Tyrant swung its massive hammer again and again without pause.
Each strike landed with devastating force, echoing across the battlefield like the relentless pounding of a war drum.
Boom!
Boom!
Every blow shook the air itself.
Chunks of shattered basalt flesh burst outward with each impact. Dark blood sprayed across the ground, mixing with fragments of stone-like flesh torn from the Rend Colossus’s body.
The titan struggled violently.
Its enormous arms thrashed as it attempted to push itself upright, but the Undead Cobra had already coiled its immense body tightly around the creature’s legs.
The serpent’s constriction was merciless.
The more the titan struggled, the tighter the coils became.
Making it was impossible for the Rend Colossus to stand.
The Storm Tyrant’s hammer continued to fall like divine punishment.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Under the relentless assault, the titan’s chest gradually caved inward.
The hardened stone-like flesh that had previously resisted so many attacks finally began to crumble.
With each strike, the massive rib structure collapsed further.
The area that had once been its chest was now nothing more than a mangled mass of broken rock, shattered bone, and crushed flesh.
Meanwhile, another attack struck from above.
Standing atop the titan’s massive head, the Undead Royalty Stonewall drove its blade forward with brutal precision.
The sword plunged deep into one of the Rend Colossus’s eyes.
Crack!
The blade pierced through the hardened surface and sank into the skull.
The titan’s enormous body convulsed violently.
The Rend Colossus opened its mouth wide, preparing to release a thunderous roar of agony.
But the scream never escaped.
A spear suddenly shot forward.
The weapon plunged straight into the creature’s open mouth, piercing through its throat and pinning its jaw partially shut.
The titan’s cry died before it could even begin. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Its massive body trembled.
Once.
Twice.
Then slowly, it stopped moving.
The gigantic figure lay completely still, sprawled across the shattered terrain like a fallen mountain.
Silence gradually returned to the battlefield.
For a few seconds, Thoren simply stood there.
"Huh..."
He exhaled slowly, taking a deep breath.
His chest rose and fell as the tension left his body.
"I’ve never seen a creature as tough as this," he thought quietly.
The Rend Colossus had proven far more difficult to kill than he had initially expected.
Its trait, Abyssal Fortitude had been especially troublesome.
That temporary boost to its defense had turned its body into something almost impossible to damage.
On top of that, the Earthbreaker Stomp had constantly disrupted his undead formation.
Every time the titan slammed its foot into the ground, his undead servants were sent flying.
It had been an extremely difficult opponent.
"Finally... it’s over," Thoren murmured.
He lifted a hand and wiped away the imaginary sweat from his forehead.
Even though he had remained outwardly calm throughout the battle, he had truly gone all out to defeat the Rend Colossus.
The fight had pushed him to the limit of his current strength.
Just imagining what might have happened if there had been more than one titan made him shiver slightly.
He drew in a slow breath.
If two or three Rend Colossi had appeared at once...
The outcome might have been completely different.
His gaze slowly swept across the battlefield.
Many of his undead servants had been destroyed during the fight.
Only a portion of his legion remained standing.
However, Thoren did not show any concern.
Against creatures of such high level, weaker undead servants were little more than expendable pawns.
If he wanted to truly dominate battles like this one, he would need more powerful undead.
Many more powerful undead.
Of course, developing every servant into a high-level undead was far easier said than done.
Thoren shook his head lightly, pushing aside the meaningless thoughts.
His eyes returned to the enormous corpse lying before him.
The fallen Rend Colossus.
Without hesitation, he raised his hand.
[Undead Summoning.]
Dark necromantic energy erupted from beneath the corpse.
The ground around the titan trembled as dense waves of undead power surged into its body.
Normally, summoning such a powerful undead creature would place an enormous burden on the necromancer.
But Thoren’s Spirit attribute had already reached its maximum limit.
He felt no fear of backlash.
Within seconds, the dead titan began to tremble.
Its massive body twitched slightly.
Then slowly the Rend Colossus began to rise.
Fragments of stone fell from its body as the enormous figure stood upright once again.
But the glow in its eyes had changed.
Instead of the savage light of a living creature, cold soul fire now burned within its hollow gaze.
Thoren stared up at the towering figure under his control.
A deep grin slowly spread across his face.
"This... this is what I’m talking about," he muttered with satisfaction.
Pride and excitement filled his expression.
This was the first Level 20 undead creature under his command.
The Undead Rend Colossus.
With such a powerful servant now in his army, Thoren felt his path through the Shatter Sky had suddenly become much smoother.
He quickly began reorganizing his forces.
The injured undead servants were recalled into his undead space so they could recover.
The remaining undead were left outside.
This time, Thoren had no intention of hiding his strength.
"Move forward," he commanded calmly.
The undead legion began moving again.
The Undead Storm Tyrant climbed back onto the head of the massive Undead Cobra, standing there like a dark sentinel.
Below, the Undead Royalty Stonewall took the lead position at the front of the formation.
Walking behind Thoren was the towering Undead Rend Colossus.
Its enormous presence alone was enough to guard their rear.
With this formation, the undead legion began advancing deeper into the rocky terrain of the crater.
As they moved further inward, the environment grew increasingly hostile.
The massive rocks scattered across the ground became even larger.
Some were as tall as towers.
Others formed jagged cliffs and narrow passages.
At the same time, the gravity pressing down on them continued to increase.
Earlier, the gravity had been roughly twice that of the normal world.
Now it had risen to nearly three times the standard.
Thoren could feel the pressure weighing heavily on his body.
Even breathing required more effort.
His muscles strained slightly with every step.
He slowed his pace slightly, preparing to pause and catch his breath.
But just as he lifted his head, something caught his attention.
His jaw slowly dropped.
At the top of a massive rock formation, a grotesque creature had appeared.
It stared down at Thoren and his undead legion like a patient apex predator observing its prey.
However, Thoren was not shocked by the creature’s size.
Nor was he intimidated by its aura.
Instead, he was disturbed by its appearance.
The creature resembled a massive swollen brain.
Its enormous body pulsed rhythmically with sickly purple light.
Thick tendrils extended from beneath it, supporting its weight like twisted legs.
All across its surface, numerous mouths opened and closed repeatedly.
Each mouth was lined with rows of sharp, jagged teeth.
"W-What the..." Thoren whispered.
His eyes widened in disbelief.
[Gravemind Devourer]
[Level: 20]
[Attributes: Strength 48, Constitution 60, Agility 26, Spirit 10, Defense 50]
[Trait (1): Mind Twist – A psychic pulse that disrupts enemy concentration.]
[Trait (2): Devouring Tendrils – Grabs prey and drains their life energy.]
[Trait (3): Hive Command – Controls lesser beasts and commands them to swarm enemies.]
For a moment, Thoren barely looked at the creature itself.
His attention was locked entirely on its status panel.
Compared to many of the creature he had already encountered in the Shatter Sky, this creature’s raw attributes were not particularly impressive.
In fact, it was far weaker than the Rend Colossus.
But one trait immediately caught his attention.
Hive Command.
Control.
Thoren’s brow slowly furrowed.
Just as he began wondering how many creatures the Gravemind Devourer could control, movement appeared within the surrounding rocky passages.
From a narrow path between the cliffs, dozens of beasts emerged.
Starved Drakes.
Crawling Horrors.
They stepped forward one after another.
But something was wrong.
Their eyes were unfocused.
The savage glint that normally burned within them had completely vanished.
Instead, their gazes were dull and lifeless.
The unmistakable sign of mental control.
"...This..."
Thoren inhaled sharply.
A beast capable of controlling other beasts was an extremely dangerous opponent.
However, instead of fear, excitement began to burn in his eyes.
After all, the situation now mirrored his own fighting style.
Just like him, the Gravemind Devourer stood behind its minions and commanded the battlefield.
Now, Thoren was curious.
How would his undead legion fare against a creature that controlled living monsters?
But just as that excitement began to rise something else appeared.
Thoren’s expression froze.
On nearby rock formations, three more grotesque figures slowly revealed themselves.
Three additional Gravemind Devourers.
All of them stared down at Thoren and his undead legion.
Their many mouths opened wide.
Rows of wet, glistening teeth trembled hungrily.
They could already sense the powerful life force within Thoren.
And they could not wait to devour it.
