Chapter 478: Chapter 478: Kunpeng Technique

Chen Guan showed a look of surprise after listening to Chu Yutian’s proposal. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

"You say you want to collaborate with me to break the Wall of Sighs?" Chen Guan examined Chu Yutian, trying to determine if he was joking.

It’s something the Ten Great Families haven’t achieved in hundreds of years, yet Chu Yutian speaks so casually—what backing does he have?

"Brother Zi, you might not know, but my talent is somewhat unique. It’s called the Pupil of Void Shattering, allowing me to see through delusions and remain unconfused by illusions."

Chu Yutian continued, "With the Pupil of Void Shattering, I can see some things beyond the Wall of Sighs."

"Oh, what did you see?" Chen Guan asked with interest.

"I saw the other side." Chu Yutian said with a complex expression.

"What other side?" Fujimura Reiko asked with a frown.

"If I told you the Spirit Ruins Secret Realm is a river, would you believe it?" Chu Yutian continued, speaking remarkably.

"If it’s a river, why is there no water?" Fujimura Reiko remarked.

Chu Yutian shook his head and said, "I don’t know why it lacks water; maybe it doesn’t need it at all. In our human definition, a river needs water, a definition from the Divine Land. But here, in the Secret Realm, rivers may not necessarily need water—perhaps there’s an invisible, untouchable substance replacing water."

Without giving Fujimura Reiko a chance to reply, Chu Yutian continued, "The Wall of Sighs has trapped this river or, rather, prevents creatures within the river from coming ashore. I don’t know if it’s a naturally formed rule or if there’s a terrifying power behind it, but I can see the scenery on the shore—things that drive me nearly insane."

"What exactly did you see? Just say it outright, stop beating around the bush," Fujimura Reiko interjected for Chen Guan.

"I saw countless Heavenly and Earthly Treasures there, like a giant forest of lingzhi and ginseng, vermilion fruits bigger than watermelons, and houses-sized fleeceflower roots..." Chu Yutian painted an incredible picture.

Chen Guan and Fujimura Reiko felt like they were listening to a fairy tale, which sounded unreal.

Chen Guan had seen many good things and had encountered giant lingzhi in Zixian Valley, even larger than what Chu Yutian described, so it seemed less unbelievable.

However, according to Chu Yutian, these giant lingzhi, ginseng, vermilion fruits, and other Heavenly and Earthly Treasures grow together in a dense thicket, stretching endlessly—it was implausible.

After all, these Heavenly and Earthly Treasures require different environments and nutrients to grow, making it difficult for them to grow together, let alone in such large numbers as described, resembling a paddy field.

"I know it’s hard to believe, but what I saw behind the Wall of Sighs was indeed such a scene, with various Heavenly and Earthly Treasures growing in vast numbers—unimaginably large, having grown for tens of thousands or even millions of years..." Chu Yutian continued to describe, albeit with a limited vocabulary, repeating himself.

"If it’s as you say, why did you come to me for cooperation?" Chen Guan asked again.

Chu Yutian replied, "I’ve thought of collaborating with the great families. Yet, as far as I know, even the Ten Great Families can’t break through the Wall of Sighs at present. Partnering with them would only bring trouble—the secret wouldn’t be allowed until they could benefit. But your Sword Spirit pet might have a chance to break the Wall of Sighs."

"Aren’t you afraid that I’ll kill you to silence you, like they might?" Chen Guan smiled faintly at Chu Yutian.

"Of course I am. But I can’t wait any longer. I’m already twenty-seven; I need resources to advance, or I’ll just stagnate my entire life." Chu Yutian said with a bitter smile.

"With your talent, shouldn’t there be plenty of families and forces offering you a good position? Advancing to the Grotto Heaven shouldn’t be difficult," Chen Guan remarked calmly.

"Under normal circumstances, yes. Many great families have indeed approached me, inviting me to join them, including Gong Mingwang."

After a pause, Chu Yutian continued, "If I cultivated an ordinary Secret Technique, relying on their resources, advancing to Grotto Heaven wouldn’t be hard. However, the Secret Technique I practice demands too many resources, which they can’t provide."

"Oh, what Secret Technique are you practicing? How many resources does it require?" Chen Guan asked with interest.

"I practice the Kunpeng Technique, a rare Secret Technique. Though its class is rare, if cultivated to success, its future power is limitless. It’s like the ancient saying, ’In the northern darkness, there is a fish, named Kun. The size of Kun is unknown; it transforms into a bird, named Peng. The back of Peng is unknown; its wings spread like clouds hanging across the sky...’

"If the Kunpeng Technique reaches its peak, its Primordial Energy would be like Kunpeng, covering sky and sun... But cultivating this Secret Technique... requires an extremely high amount of resources... If I were born into the Ten Great Families... with the collective support... I wouldn’t have such troubles..."

Chen Guan, hearing Chu Yutian speak convincingly, mused inwardly, "If what he says is true, with so many Heavenly and Earthly Treasures aged unknown years beyond the Wall of Sighs, it would indeed be a tremendous blessing for me."

"Compared to the Primordial Energy I need, the resources for the Kunpeng Technique aren’t actually much; besides, there are so many Heavenly and Earthly Treasures there, no need to compete with him..."

"Brother Zi, if you can break the Wall of Sighs, I only require resources for advancing to Grotto Heaven; the rest is yours to handle. The Heavenly and Earthly Treasures there are limitless, almost inexhaustible, so there’s no need for us to compete..." Chu Yutian said.

"Is the Wall of Sighs you visited where we are heading?" Chen Guan pondered and asked.

"No." Chu Yutian shook his head and replied, "But that’s not a problem—my guess is that the outer area of the entire Wall of Sighs has such Heavenly and Earthly Treasures."

Chen Guan thought Chu Yutian’s claims were outrageous—how vast was the Spirit Ruins Secret Realm? Humanity hasn’t even fully explored it, so the outside is filled with such Heavenly and Earthly Treasures? How many such treasures would there be?

Would this not make them more common than cabbages? How could they still be Heavenly and Earthly Treasures?

Such claims were hard to believe, and anyone hearing them would deem them impossible, overly exaggerated.

Yet, Chu Yutian using such obviously unreliable claims to deceive him seemed illogical.

If Chen Guan intended to deceive, he wouldn’t use something so outrageously false.

"Let’s discuss after reaching the Wall of Sighs." Chen Guan did not agree to Chu Yutian’s proposal, deciding to wait until reaching the Wall of Sighs to evaluate the situation.
