Chapter 389 Chapter 388: Son of Deus

"He called you ugly, Cerberus!"

[I heard it, my liege!]

Cerberus used his snake tail and bit the angel on his tongue.

[I want to kill him slowly so I can see him suffer in agony. Is that alright with you, my liege?] Cerberus asked obediently.

"Oh, of course. Take your time."

Zach walked back to the throne and pushed to the side so he could watch the show from close. He sat on the throne in an arrogant manner and scoffed at the angel.

[My liege, am I really ugly?] Cerberus suddenly asked Zach.

"Well… I don't think I can answer that. I am a human, and no offense but most demons look similar to me, just like how the monsters in the dungeon look the same. Of course, you are one of a kind, but I still don't have anything to compare you with," Zach politely explained.

[But what do you think? You feel angry when you look at me?]

"Of course not. That would never happen. Even when I met you for the first time in that secret dungeon, I did find you quite dashing."

"Who are you?!" the angel shouted at Zach. "And just how did you manage to come here!"

The Gods' Impact game was perfectly designed to screw over the humans in every way possible. Thus, there are secret events and places that would endanger the players' lives.

The goal of the game was for the Gods to make the humans realize how weak of a kind they were. They were no match against the Gods, which was indeed true in every possible way.

Had the Gods decided to kill all humankind, they could do that with a snap of a finger. However, even if they wanted to do that, they wouldn't do that as they would have alerted and angered the higher Gods, who would have punished them for their actions.

Thus, they decided to punish humans on a small scale to divert the attention of the higher Gods while they made plans to usurp the high heavens and end the era of Gods.

To make it fair for the players, the Gods allowed the players to get strong to be worthy enough to challenge the Gods. However, that was just for a show.

No one would survive or complete the game, no matter how strong or intelligent they were. Sadly, they hadn't been aware of Zach's existence, which was a threat to them.

To ascend to the second maid realm, the player needed to be level one hundred or more and have a first-grade peak stage physique. Sure, the players could kill the other players and level up to a hundred, but without cultivating the physique, they were as weak as a level ten player.

Not only that, but to reach level one hundred and cultivate the physique to the requirement— in a proper way, the player needed to complete all the quests and tasks. Let it be NPC, personal, or the guild quests.

The secret events, stages, quests, exploration of the secret location, and the bonus related to gameplay mechanism; each player needed to complete that to reach level one hundred and cultivate the required physique.

However, if a player somehow managed to do all that and unlocked everything, they would still have needed to find the castle of the first main realm's boss.

Zach had to use Cerberus to find it after flying out of the map's bounds. Not many players would have managed to do that. Still, if someone did that too, they would have needed to solve mind-boggling puzzles.

Putting all that aside, to enter the angel's throne room, Zach had to read a slogan, which was originally written in a celestial language. Not only that, but to get the slogan right, he had to rearrange the words and solve the puzzle.

Moreover, if a player managed to do even that, they would have had to fight Cerberus in his peak form— which by the way, was incomplete when Zach fought him.

In short, no players should have been able to reach the angel's throne room and challenge the angel. Hence, no player had the chance to ascend to the second main realm. However, Zach was the anomaly, a defying existence to everything.

"Who am I… you ask?" Zach muttered. "I am the same puny mortal who will kill you."

Zach turned to Cerberus and said, [Cerberus, what are you doing, man? His legs are still intact, and I don't see him bleeding anymore. Come on, don't be lazy, and do your job right. Or I won't take you for a walk later.]

Those words were like a death sentence for Cerberus, as that would mean he would no longer get a chance to serve Zach.

[My deepest apology, my liege!]

Cerberus ripped both of Angel's crushed legs out of his body as the blood came gushing out.

"Argh!" the angel yelled in pain as he couldn't even speak anymore. His tongue had swollen, and the poison had begun to spread in his body.

"Say Cerberus, didn't you say you like the angel's wings?]

[I did, yes.]

"Then why don't you pluck them out and try them on?" Zach suggested with a straight face.

[I don't think that's possible, but I shall try on your order!]

Cerberus began to pluck out the angel's wings one by one with each of his three mouths while Zach enjoyed the angel's scream.

Zach hummed a song as the angel's scream worked like a rhythmic tune in between. However, that tune soon stopped once Cerberus had plucked out all the wings.

He looked at the limbless angel with no wings and smirked from the corner of his lips. Then, his smirk widened and spread across his face.

"Heh!" he scoffed out loud. "Ahahahahaha!"

He laughed like a maniac while repeatedly banging his hand on the tone's handrest.

"Look at him, Cerberus. He was acting all high and mighty when he made his so-called grand entrance. And now he is weeping in front of me in such a pathetic state. Archangel, my foot! Realm boss, my ass!

Ahahahaha! I have never faced a boss weaker than you. Even a level ten goblin in the beginner's realm was stronger than you!"

Zach got up from the throne and placed his feet on the angel's head as he looked him in the eyes and uttered, "You asked who I am, right? I am the son of Deus!"
