Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire-Chapter 728 - 412: The Dragon Vein Tragedy and Divine Descent of the Holy Dragon
Waaa!!!
Upon hearing the jubilant cheers of the Elf Maid attending to his partner in the birthing room, Soron Augustus, who was waiting outside and had just become a father, took a deep breath, feeling an undeniable resilient yet slightly savage and frenzied aura of life.
Standing outside the room, Soron Augustus, now promoted to the status of a father, inhaled deeply because he realized that at the moment of this child’s birth, he felt no joy, only endless apprehension and doubt.
Although he had seen the sky filled with thunderous seas and the ever-growing dense forests, and he even had withered vines clinging to his calves, he felt no delight, only a chilling sensation in his heart.
Because he did not believe he could have fathered a child born with such dual phenomena, even though he was unique enough himself, and his wife was one of the divinely chosen, anomalies were still anomalies.
Although the Augustus family had similar records, like the third family head, the second Master Atlas, who was born under the signs of thunder seas overturning and a divine weapon descending from the heavens, that ancestor was extraordinarily gifted, blessed by the will of the heavens.
What could his child be considered? Was this child also extraordinarily gifted? Or had they garnered the favor of some external will, meticulously crafted as a divinely gifted genius?
Reflecting on his relationship and experiences with his wife, Helena, there were too many coincidences to overlook. Such an accumulation of coincidences was no longer accidental, but a deliberate scheme, resulting in the birth of this child before him!
Though Soron’s expression remained calm, as he sensed the Elf Maid stepping out of the room, his face broke into a gentle, joyous smile, betraying nothing of the heaviness and thoughts in his heart.
"Prince Soron, Lady Helena has successfully completed the delivery, you may go in to see now."
Gathering his composure and assuming the proper demeanor, Soron stepped into the room, and the first thing he saw was a child nestled in the gentle embrace of his elegant companion, and the child seemed aware of his arrival.
A pair of clear, bright, heterochromatic eyes met his gaze, and then, without crying or fussing, the child, whose face was still so tender, much like a creature out of control, opened its mouth with a tender yet authoritative voice, echoing through the delivery room,
"Astraea Augustus Helios Silf..."
"True Name!"
Seeing his offspring, like a newly hatched dragon chick, speak the true name with its mouth, Soron was somewhat surprised, yet not shocked. With so many bloodlines intertwined, possessing a true name was not unexpected.
When he had awakened the Titan Bloodline, he too had a true name, and after receiving the blessing of true blood from the Holy Dragon Emperor, his true name had undergone changes.
"Look, Soron, how beautiful our child is."
The Silver Moon Elf, and chosen of the Nature Goddess, Helena, cradling the infant, beamed with joy upon hearing the child announce the true name. She lifted the child slightly to show her partner, allowing him to take a closer look,
"Indeed, she is beautiful!"
Soron’s smile was equally radiant, like a father delighted by the birth of his offspring, but his heart grew colder.
It wasn’t just because his daughter possessed heterochromatic eyes of gold and silver, but more importantly, the Dragon Clan lineage that should have been inherited was seemingly erased. On her, Soron saw no traits of the Dragon Clan, not even the lowest form of scale patterns.
Only in her true name could slight clues be discerned. Yet, without the name Noah, even the inherited part was minimal.
This indicated that while his daughter indeed inherited the Ancestral Dragon Species’ bloodline, it was suppressed to its extreme, not manifesting outwardly.
Judging by appearance alone, his daughter Astraea seemed to inherit the Titan Bloodline from the Augustus family, and the bloodline of the Silver Moon Elf.
But since the rise of the Augustus family, there has never been a direct inheritance of the Titan Bloodline. There have been naturally awakened ones, however.
Yet, how could this child resemble a naturally awakened individual? Instead, she seemed similar to him, affected and influenced by a higher existence.
"I have a feeling she will become a queen ruling over the sky and the Forest of Nature!"
Meeting her husband’s gaze, the Nature God’s chosen, Helena, proclaimed with unwavering conviction in her tone, as though not just expressing a belief but making an announcement.
"Queen! I want to become a queen!"
Hearing her mother’s words, the newborn Astraea giggled and waved her chubby hands, shouting loudly.
"Alright, my daughter will one day become the queen of the Forest of Nature!"
Hearing the call from his daughter, Soron, maintaining his humanoid form, stepped forward naturally, taking the child from his partner’s hands, and then leaned down to carefully scrutinize the child in swaddling clothes.
But to Soron’s profound disappointment, despite his meticulous search, he could not find a single scale pattern on his daughter; her skin was as clean and white as a Half-Elf.
"What’s wrong?"
Perhaps Soron’s actions were too obvious, as the newly delivered yet not significantly weakened Helena gently inquired, her eyes radiating a maternal glow, her voice full of concern, and exuding an immense sense of affinity.
"It’s nothing, just strange to find her skin exceedingly clean."
