Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire-Chapter 774 - 434: The Ancient God Father-in-Law Observes His Son-in-Law (2)
If prophecy is directed at the mundane beings of the world, with the Divine’s status, it can basically achieve an extremely terrifying level of accuracy. Once a prophecy is issued, it is in effect a demonstration of miracles, which further aids in gathering and consolidating faith for the Divine.
However, once the prophecy spell is applied to a Divine of the same level, it’s a different matter entirely. The high status of the Divine and the many exemption properties they possess are enough to render almost all prophetic spells ineffective.
Even Divine Arts are the same, unless it is a Divine that specializes in such spells. Only then can they get a not-so-clear result, but it will still be inaccurate and can only serve as a reference. But even so, if one can bet accurately just once, it can create unexpected effects.
"Since you know, stop asking."
"You mean, I just wait peacefully with our son for the result?"
"What else would you want to do? Participate in this Ascension ceremony?"
Ophelia retorted.
"I should have the qualification to participate."
Noah lifted his Dragon Claw and scratched his chin. He indeed couldn’t interfere in the battlefield outside, but within the Material Realm, Noah felt he could sweep through.
Although it’s unclear what background this Odin has, judging from Ophelia’s expression, it can’t be insignificant.
The soul once fallen walks out of the river of time, resurrected and reborn, and can still connect with the Immortal beings in Heaven. With such connections alone, everything is already explained. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"You are too full of yourself, Noah. Do you think Odin’s enemies are the same Divine you faced?"
"I don’t think so, and I’ve never said so. I just think I can partially participate when the Odin Ascension ceremony starts."
His wife and father-in-law have already bet heavily on this, even putting his son’s future happiness on the line.
Noah also thought he could place a bet. Judging by the name of God, Odin wants to become the Lord of Thunder and Storm, which has no connection to him at all, indicating they have the foundation for cooperation.
"Noah, even my father wouldn’t dare say Odin will definitely succeed. If you rudely interfere, my father can withdraw, but do you really think you can remain unharmed?"
Ophelia said with a solemn expression.
"You have a point."
After seriously pondering for a moment, Noah slowly nodded. The Divine Position Domains of Thunder and Storm represent the most violent power and atmospheric phenomena, and can easily produce several Strong Divine Powers.
But Odin has returned to life, aiming to reclaim the authority of both domains simultaneously. It’s known that the authority of the Divine Position Domain is fixed.
If one Divine occupies more, it represents less for other Divines. This is a struggle for authority, and no Divine will give way even a bit, for retreating means falling.
This Odin returning to his Divine Position does not seem like a stance of humbling himself. If he wishes to return to his original place, how many Divine will lose their authority now?
These Divines threatened by him are all his mortal enemies. No Divine related to these domains will allow such a gigantic being to return.
If he succeeds, it’s fine. This group of related Divines will all be dealt with by the Odin God. But if Odin fails, Noah, who participated, would gain two domain mortal enemies.
It’s said that when in debt, one does not worry, but who would willingly take on more debt if given a choice? Moreover, neither the Thunder Domain nor the Storm Domain have Divines that are easy to provoke or have good tempers?
"So, you and Iliad just wait for the final result."
"Hasn’t Hela gone there? How much power does that little girl have now? If something happens to her, tsk!"
Noah shook his head, seeing clearly that his eldest son was truly enamored with Hela. If anything happens to Hela, he might as well not expect his son to pass down the bloodline in the future.
Though Noah didn’t care much, he still felt a bit regretful.
"Hela is Odin’s eldest daughter; you don’t need to worry about her encountering danger."
"You told me before that Hela is just an ordinary Angel."
Noah said with a bleak tone.
"For you, a noble Ancestral Golden Dragon, a resurrected Divine’s newborn eldest daughter, wouldn’t she still be considered ordinary?"
"How is that ordinary?"
Noah couldn’t help but retort.
"If it weren’t for this matter, would you have noticed the anomaly with Hela?"
"I’ve never met Hela."
"She has always been in Heaven; who told you not to come up?"
"Hehe, once I become Dragon King, I’ll go to Heaven."
"And when can you become Dragon King?"
"Within a thousand years, definitely within a thousand years, I will become Dragon King!"
Noah said with a determined tone.
"A thousand years?"
Even though Ophelia hasn’t lived past a thousand years yet, achieving Immortality within a thousand years, unbound by faith and constraints, seems too brief a time.
"Can you really do it?"
"Are you sure you want to doubt me like this?"
"I want to know where your confidence comes from."
"I can’t say it. If I say it, it may not come true."
Noah became a riddling dragon.
"Humph, I didn’t want to hear it anyway."
Seeing Noah’s demeanor, the Angel hummed lightly,
"I plan to call Iliad back. His current mindset isn’t suitable as a Commander to lead the war."
"Isn’t his opponent just a bunch of Demons? Believe in him; he can do it."
"Do you know the coordinates of the Plane he’s on?"
"I know."
"Then keep an eye on him."
"Knowing is one thing, but if I go, what about the ownership of this Plane?"
"If the situation of the Michigan Plane is really that bad, and you save it, the ownership of this Plane naturally belongs to you."
"Are you sure some guys in Heaven won’t have objections to this?"
Noah was surprised at the Angel’s generosity, knowing that when Heaven dispatches the Angel Legion to save, it’s not free.
Angels indeed serve as Saviors, but this Savior does not work for free. Otherwise, constantly engaging in various wars with only depletion and no replenishment, even Heaven’s deep foundation can’t withstand such depletion.
"What objections can they have? A Material World governed by a Golden Dragon isn’t worse than a Shattered world ruins falling into a Lower Plane, is it?"
"That’s logically correct, but some folks think it’d better be left a ruin than given to me."
"There are no such Divines in Heaven!"
Ophelia stated firmly.
"As long as that’s true."
The communication with the Angel ended there. Even if Noah wanted to investigate and understand this Odin Ancient God retrieving his former authority.
It’s very regrettable that even in the Ancestral memory, Noah couldn’t find much related knowledge. It seemed to be an Ancient God so old that it’s unimaginable, reviving in the present.
Although the resurrection of fallen Divines is not unusual in the long river of history, like this Odin, able to seek aid from Immortal beings in Heaven, is very rare. As they say, gone is the one who boils tea, the same logic applies to Divine beings.
However, just as Noah was giving up on having any contact with or understanding of this Odin God, an alert from Heaven stirred Noah,
"The Abyss Gate on the Michigan Plane has spread, turning into the Eye of Abyss. An Abyss Lord has descended in true form, and the situation is beyond Iliad’s control, requiring you to personally go."
"Then this Plane..."
"As long as you repel the Abyss Lord and seal the Eye of Abyss, Heaven has no existence to question your rule over this Plane."
"Alright, I’ll make the trip!"
Noah nodded satisfactorily and prepared to make the trip.
"Wait a moment."
"What is it?"
"Odin, he has gone!"
