Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire-Chapter 778 - 436: The Fallen Black King, Legend of the Dragon King (Part 2)
According to the understanding of mortals, it would be a deity who appears immensely powerful, exhausting all their strength to slay a Black Dragon leader only slightly stronger than a White Dragon, and then unfortunately dying in battle.
If such a story were to be spread, let alone gaining prestige and fame, it would somewhat become a laughingstock. It would indeed be strange if Odin thought highly of the Black Dragons now.
"Understand!"
Seeing Odin’s serious expression, defending the Dragon King who died under his command, Noah was very understanding.
The ancient deities kept certain very primitive habits, such as recording and showing off the powerful beasts and enemies they hunted in hunting or war.
"I have a pretty good relationship with most of the Dragon Clan. Apart from this Black Dragon King, I also know a Dragon King who rules the sky and controls the storm."
Understanding his current situation and position, Odin explained, asserting that he was not opposed to the Dragon Clan, but merely at odds with one of the evil Dragon Kings.
"Storm Dragon King!?"
Noah was a bit confused, his eyes revealing inquiry, as he had not heard of this Dragon King. This was enough to prove the past glory of the Dragon Clan, whether Dragon Kings or Dragon Gods, they were not as sparse as they are now.
"I don’t know where he went, but I can be sure he hasn’t fallen, just went to a very distant place."
Without waiting for Noah to ask, Odin answered the question that had just emerged in Noah’s heart.
"To the Dragon Clan in the mortal world, it’s no different from falling."
"There is still a difference. Perhaps one day, he will come back to take a look."
"But it would only be to take a look."
Noah sighed.
The fallen Dragon Kings are very few; more Dragon Kings have not gone silent, but have left, and those missing Dragon Gods seem to be the same.
But as Noah said, for a Dragon King who ran too far, what difference does it make to ordinary dragons whether they have fallen? No response comes from prayers and offerings, useless at critical moments.
"It may be strange to introduce myself after this discussion, but I must formally inform you of my name, Odin, a loser attempting to return to the divine position."
This ancient god was not immersed in past glory and honor, all of which, to him, had already ended. It could be remembered but never lingered upon.
There was no imagined arrogance or condescension; the first meeting with this Odin God was reasonably pleasant and harmonious. The other party even took the initiative to introduce himself to Noah, but the disclosed information was almost non-existent, almost useless,
"Noah, a naive Dragon who just promised his partner to ascend to Dragon King within a millennium!"
Noah smiled gingerly as he introduced himself similarly.
"A thousand years? Dragon King? You are truly confident in yourself!"
Odin, hearing Noah’s self-introduction, couldn’t help but tease.
"If we talk about confidence, who can compare to you, Odin Sir!"
Noah’s gaze moved beyond this man, who maintained a humanoid stature, yet exuded an aura not inferior to his, and looked around.
He saw his eldest son, who had a serene and indifferent expression, and beside him, the gentle and elegant six-winged Great Angel.
Besides this handsome couple who looked quite compatible, Noah only saw Angel Warriors diligently fulfilling their duties, and none others.
In other words, this resurrected Ancient God, merely brought his daughter to this Material Realm where the rules were severely weakened by the Abyss.
Such courage and spirit truly amazed Noah; if it were him, he would surely not act like this. Because the weakening of plane rules meant the cost of divine punishment by deities also decreased significantly.
A plane with weakened and destroyed rules was a somewhat dangerous area for someone like Noah, who had offended a group of deities, and an Ascender like Odin.
However, Noah didn’t care since few deities openly targeted him now, even the Sun Gods.
Because deities require face, especially in the eyes of worldly mortals, belong the majesty of deities. If they can’t maintain that loftiness, it would cause a catastrophic blow to their beliefs.
"I have no choice, just have to do it this way!"
Faced with Noah’s praise and flattery, this man, seemingly tough and strong, with wisdom shining in his eyes, showed a hint of helplessness.
Awakening the memories of his past as a Divine King, he knew he was destined to walk a tragic and bloody path.
He had no right to retreat or refuse, only to move forward, stepping over all who dared obstruct his path, over their corpses, letting both feet soak in their blood, step by step walking to the highest, to the position of the Divine King upon which he once sat.
There is little secrecy among deities, especially involving background and origin. As a former Divine King, to ascend again, his only choice was to become a Great Power, nothing less than strong divine power.
He couldn’t become a small god with weak or low-level power, due to his background and history, seeking such a level of divine power would surely result in a terribly tragic end.
"So, why has Odin Sir come here today?"
Noah’s eyes looked toward the gentle Great Angel Commander beside the eldest son, understanding internally.
"Naturally for my daughter, I was initially worried, but seeing you reassured me."
Although not optimistic that this Golden Dragon with ancestral bloodline could become a Dragon King within a millennium, he was confident in the powers this Dragon held in the Material Realm, having been in contact with multiple high-ranking dragons and even Dragon Kings.
To put it bluntly, he hoped this dragon could remain stuck at its current state eternally, maintaining an invincible stance in the Material Realm without needing to advance any further.
Even becoming a Dragon King, the external environment remained harsh, not exactly welcoming.
"Why? Does my child not satisfy you in some way?"
Despite the praise for himself, Noah did not wish to accept it.
"My satisfaction doesn’t matter, what’s important is that my daughter Hela likes him herself, that’s enough. My only concern is that your child’s strength isn’t enough to ensure my daughter’s safety."
Odin bluntly said, and hearing this, Illiad clenched his fists beside him, but soon, soft tender hands held his fists, gently spreading them, intertwining their fingers together.
"I believe you, you can definitely protect me!"
The gentle comfort a woman provides at a man’s most embarrassing moment can shatter all seemingly tough shells over the man.
"Finished!"
Such words did not escape the notice of Noah and Odin, but upon hearing these words and seeing Illiad’s performance, Noah couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.
This was a sigh for his eldest son, who lacked enough romantic experiences, how could he resist such a girl? Wouldn’t he surely be wrapped around her finger forever!
"This is only temporary, given enough time to grow, his achievements will not be weaker than mine."
Of course, Noah had to stand up for his son, since his purpose here was indeed for this!
"But now, there isn’t enough time for him."
"Are you about to prepare for ascension?"
Noah could see that the Ancient God was in a state similar to his own, invincible in the Material Realm, protected by its rules, making it difficult for deities to harm him.
However, once he holds the ascension ceremony, raising the divine throne, the rules of the Material Realm would not only stop protecting him but would also repulse him from the world, by which time great divine powers would definitely descend.
"Yes!"
