Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire-Chapter 994 - 544_2
Even though he gained access, saw the Sea of Roots of the world, and saw drop after drop of Source Power that would make any Demigod eager for the Epic Path drool with envy.
But after mastering and understanding everything, Noah was unwilling to use even a drop of Source Power, because that is the foundation of the world, the most critical core of world rules operation, and any loss would mean a natural disaster and earth-shaking change for the living beings on the world's land.
When one sells off their grandfather's land, they do not feel the pain. Previously, Noah only thought about how to gain more Source Power from the Mother Realm, but now, as the Lord of the World, Noah needs to contemplate what can be done to help the world accumulate more Source Power?
As for rewards, they're non-existent. Even if someone emulated him now, offering sacrifices to him, he would never bestow even a wisp of Source Energy as a reward, absolutely impossible.
"How can they be so generous, oh, the target of these generous actions is me? Then there's no problem!"
Noah, newly in power, took stock of the Source Power inventory and, upon discovering that a portion was being depleted unusually, immediately traced it back, naturally finding the cause within himself.
In the past few centuries, no, tracing back millennia, only he had been granted such amounts of Source Power by the World Will proactively.
Although, in some sense, the offerings he presented to the World Will were used as costs to condense more Source Power, Noah saw these as losing trades — how could Source Power be used as a reward?
Though it might seem like cutting off the path for those who come later, as a member of the Dragon Clan, sharing the world's treasures and history was not their way. Naturally, after acquiring Source Power, Noah would not share it recklessly, let alone the fact that every sharing meant the world had to endure corresponding costs.
"Noah~"
When Noah was still immersed in contemplation within the Sea of Roots of the world, experiencing the authority and knowledge as the Lord of the World, the Great God Odin arrived as expected, and upon reaching him, he got straight to the point,
"Have you become the Lord of the World?"
"How do you know I've become the Lord of the World?"
Noah felt quite puzzled yet intrigued, as the changes in his body or appearance were very slight after obtaining authority.
Because he was reluctant to use the Source Power nurtured by the world, he is a Dragon King, an eternal Dragon King, blind and fishing in a dry pond, he would never do such things.
"Feelings."
Odin offered a remarkably unconvincing idea, leaving Noah with no choice but to accept it as he couldn't very well believe that Odin had placed some spy beside him to report back truthfully, that would be outrageous.
"I need a reasonable and legitimate reason, how do you know?"
Noah's demeanor was majestic and solemn, with the power supported fully by a prosperous and vast world sufficing to make the Void tremble, though within a limited range.
"I can communicate with the World Will~"
A simple explanation unravelled the deep confusion within Noah's heart,
"I can no longer sense your Mother Realm's cold World Will, now I only feel you." 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"Cold? My Mother Realm's Will isn't cold, at least I've never felt it."
"That's for you, there are no exceptions for others."
Talking about this, Odin couldn't help but reflect a bit, as he had long noticed that Noah could access the Material World more easily than other Epics.
Even when the World Will was inactive, even if it wasn't his Mother's Realm in the Material World, it would still tolerate and accept Noah's power.
Because of this, on the battlefield of the Material Realm, whether against Divinity or Epics, Noah could take on one and many more simultaneously.
"But talking about it now is pointless, your will is the World's Will, the operation of all things' rules are all at your command."
"I'm just a manager and maintainer."
Hearing the elder god describe it grandiosely, Noah couldn't help but blush a little.
Noah was very clear on his own positioning and hadn't fully mastered the basic rules composing the world, thus didn't feel qualified to change the world's rules.
"No need for modesty, Noah, since you've become the Lord of the World, we should discuss our next steps."
"Tear apart the Space-Time Realm, huh."
For the current Noah, destroying a world wasn't difficult, even a special realm like the Space-Time Realm, which was special, but not powerful. The method of tearing it apart wasn't the hardest part.
The real challenge lay in the Space-Time Realm's independence from the gods' view, being shared only by Great God Odin and Noah, mostly due to its unique spatial structure.
If Noah made a move, then the existence of the Space-Time Realm would inevitably be exposed to the eyes of the Divine, a virtually untouched land of belief for thousands of years, whose allure to the Divine could be well imagined.
Oh, right. Odin got here first, took the first step, but so what? Just a single Strong Divine Power couldn't monopolize such abundant belief resources.
Yet, this didn't mean a challenge for Noah and Odin either, since their solution was also simple and direct. In the face of covetous Divinity, they would fight — anyone who dared reach out would get their claws chopped off, chopped until they dared not entertain greed again.
"I just grasped the power of the world, and I think my current power isn't strong enough, I could wait a bit longer."
Noah hadn't expected that Odin, the principal figure, would so optimistically and actively accept that the Space-Time Realm would belong to him.
"What else do you want to wait for? Noah, you don't think merging the Space-Time Realm is something that can be done in a day, do you?"
"At least I need to adapt to my current power, right?"
Noah avoided it in every possible way, thinking the timing wasn't right. At least not until he fully held the power of the World's Lord and fully digested the world plundered from the Snake-man Empire's domain, fusing it into the Dragon Realm, making it one, could he start acting on the Space-Time Realm.
Odin agreed with Noah's views but continued to urge repeatedly. Therefore, no sooner had Noah become accustomed to controlling his power as the Lord of the World, after he had fused half of the world plundered from the Snake-man Empire, was Noah, under Odin's urging once again, unable to hold back from acting.
Just like a rolling knife through butter, the sacred Dragon King easily shattered the time-space storm with his wings and directly ripped apart a part of the Space-Time Realm.
At the same instant, due to the Space-Time Realm's integrity being damaged, even the secrets that could shield the perception of the Divine were compromised, and in an instant, countless gazes turned their way, to a region they had previously ignored and overlooked.
Yet most eyes, upon noticing the two figures standing where even the Void Storm would avoid, retracted in the first instant, though a small number of gazes still lingered on them.
However, after gazing for a moment, these eyes also withdrew one by one, and no presence revealed hostility at that moment due to the Space-Time Realm's realities.
"Did we overestimate them a bit?"
Observing stillness, with only the All Living Beings Continent slowly emerging beneath his feet, Noah, who hadn't met his target, looked to Odin for insight, somewhat disappointed.
"Why can't it be underestimation? Compared to no reaction at all, I think they're more likely to be working on something secretly in the background."
As the Divine King, Odin spoke of his knowledge of the Divine and even Noah fell silent.
"What kind of tricks could they be up to?"
"Whatever kind, it's none of your concern, you should proceed with merging the Space-Time Realm into your Mother Realm."
"Are you insane?!"
Noah couldn't fathom it.
