Julia Land was proud to see her daughter regain her composure so quickly. ๐ณ๐๐ฒ๐๐ ๐๐๐ป๐ผ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฅ.๐๐๐ฆ
She smiled warmly, "Dale, youโve grown up and can make your own judgments. Your dad and I believe you can handle all of this, we will always be your support."
Dale Land took a deep breath and pulled herself together, "Thank you, Mommy, Iโll call Carson back first."
Carson Dunn had already called her several times and sent several messages.
Julia nodded, gently patting her shoulder, "Alright, talk to Carson properly first."
Dale went into her room to make the call.
"Sister Julia, Dale will handle this well," Sophia reassured.
"Yes," Julia acknowledged, but in truth, she was most worried about James Thompsonโs health.
Though her exterior appeared calm, deep down she was anxious, "For the next couple of days, Alice will stay with you; Iโll pack his luggage for you."
Sophia nodded in agreement, "Weโll take good care of Alice."
Julia went to pack Alice Thompsonโs luggage, sorted out some daily necessities, and handed them to Sophia, "Thank you."
"Sister Julia, donโt worry, Andrew Benson is great with kids," Sophia said, pulling the luggage back to her room.
Once Julia arranged everything, she went to the room to be with James.
She sat by the bed, her gaze fixed on Jamesโs face.

In Capital City.
Ever since Eleanor Thompson received a call from Sea Pearl City, her mood had lifted.
Dale Landโs wedding was canceled, which was something to celebrate.
She hadnโt done much, just kindly informed the Woods Family of Carsonโs marriage, yet unexpectedly reaped such results.
Bella Quarter saw Eleanorโs unstoppable grin after taking a call, and curiously asked, "Eleanor, what has you so happy?"
Eleanor smiled and, once the butler and maids were gone, shared with Bella, "Dale and Carsonโs wedding was canceled."
Bella was momentarily surprised by the news, then smiled faintly, "Why was their wedding canceled?"
Eleanor smirked proudly, "All I did was let the Woods Family know the time and place of the wedding, and unexpectedly, it really disrupted it."
Bella quirked her lips into a soft smile, "Arenโt you worried you might get found out for doing this?"
Eleanor scoffed softly, "No need to worry, no one will find out, Iโm not that foolish, I had someone else handle this matter through another call."
Bella said no more, only nodding.
Just as Eleanor expected.
Carson sent someone to investigate who told the Woods Family about his impending marriage, but all they discovered was a stranger hired for the job.
Clearly, this person wasnโt the mastermind.
"Mom, Dad, Iโm sorry for embarrassing you," Carson Dunn said, rubbing his temples, apologizing to his parents on the sofa.
Lorenzo Thornton and Levi Dunn, seated on the sofa, both wore uneasy expressions.
With a hint of reproach, Lorenzoโs voice carried dissatisfaction, "Carson, itโs not your fault, you couldnโt predict the Woods Family would cause trouble today, but for the Thompson Family to cancel the wedding over this is truly embarrassing for me."
Carson spoke lowly, "Mom, I know you feel embarrassed, but itโs not Little Daleโs fault, and Doris and James are just protective of their daughter; whatever happens, itโs my responsibility."
Lorenzoโs face grew even darker.
Levi, knitting his brows, spoke with a touch of helplessness, "Carson, what has the Thompson Family said? Are the wedding plans to be canceled?"
Carson, "Tomorrow Iโll have a good talk with Little Dale; no matter what, I want to strive to keep the wedding on, Little Dale is the one I want to spend my life with."
Lorenzo wasnโt quite satisfied with Dale as a daughter-in-law, but seeing her sonโs determination, she could only choose to relent.

The next day, at eight in the morning.
Dale first informed her parents that she was going out to talk with Carson.
James had woken up that morning, keeping his condition from Dale so she wouldnโt know about his health issue the day before.
After Dale left, Julia turned to James with a firm attitude, "Iโve arranged with Jasper for a flight; weโll head back this afternoon, thereโs no life-saving medical equipment here."
She feared he might faint again suddenly.
James smiled easily, "Alright, as you say."
Julia gave him a sidelong glance, huffing, "You can still smile."
James immediately put on a crying face, trying to amuse Julia.
Julia, "...."
Meanwhile, as Dale walked up to the hotel entrance, she saw Carson.
He must not have rested well last night, looking a bit weary, and Dale hadnโt slept well either.
She got into the car, "Letโs just talk in the car. I only want to ask you one thing: did you approach me initially because of Harper Woods?"
She looked at Carson seriously, "Donโt lie to me."
Carsonโs grip on the steering wheel tightened slightly; after a momentโs silence, he turned to Dale, his eyes filled with complex emotions.
"Little Dale," he spoke in a deep, sincere voice, "At first, I approached you because of Harper, but please, donโt misunderstand. Itโs not because I loved or liked her, but after her death, I often couldnโt sleep at night, which led me to reach out to you."
He paused, speaking warmly, "As we spent more time together, I realized I truly fell for you. I admit, initially I had selfish motives, but later on, I was around you purely because I loved you, not because of anyone else."
Dale listened quietly, pursing her lips, nodding gently, "I understand."
After Carson explained, he seemed relieved, "Dale, aside from this, I have not hidden anything from you."
Dale looked at him, her eyes gradually warming, but her words cut like a knife into Carsonโs heart, "Carson, I think we shouldnโt continue being together."
Carsonโs relaxed expression instantly froze; he stared at Dale in disbelief.
He asked in shock, "Little Dale, what are you saying? Why?"
Dale chuckled lightly, "Carson, I will feel uneasy, hate my own body; I despise the good deeds you did for another woman."
