Chapter 184: A Very Strange Place Indeed.

Eros looked at Alexis like he was looking at a fool. What was she expecting him to give her, an elixir? What was she, a fool? Was his yang essence not the greatest elixir in the world—surely not as great as it used to be, but still the greatest ever, and most especially the best for her sake.

He replied. "Yes, yes it is." Alexis, paused. She felt disgusted and like throwing up at the thought. Yet, surprising even herself, she blurted out, "Why is it so sweet!?"

"Oh, thank you for the compliment." Eros smiled back at her. But then she threw it away. However, Ngozi caught the remaining bottle in time. "Ungrateful pig!" He brandished her daggers, ready to cut Alexis into smaller chunks.

Even Amanda had her soul energy flare up, and her snake chains rushed towards Alexis. She had reached her boiling point. First her sweet elixir that she had milked from her husband was taken from her, and now this.

If she did not teach Alexis a lesson, she would not be satisfied.

However, before both women could reach their target, a voice boomed loud and true.

"Enough!" Both women froze as drops of sweat slid down their backs. This was Eros using Alpha Voice.

Even Violet felt her knees go weak, and she was not the target of the technique. If not for her huge sword that she used for support, she would have fallen to the ground.

She turned to Eros wondering what kind of technique that was and why she felt it in her veins.

Both Amanda and Ngozi fell on their knees in apology.

"We are sorry, Husband!"

"We are sorry, My king!"

Eros walked up to them. He sighed as he patted their heads. "I’ll punish both of you later." Then he turned to Alexis and Violet. "I apologize for the attitude of my women. I have done a poor job as their man. Please forgive them."

Amanda and Alexis were at a loss for words. But they both nodded.

"But please, do not feed my friend such disgusting things like your... your..." Violet could not bring herself to mention the words.

Eros raised a brow at her. "Then are you saying that she should die? I thought you loved her."

"What do you mean? Of course I love her. But she is a married woman, and a..."

"Dead woman if she does not take that vial. Or do you want to tell me that you do not already feel it? This place? Something strange about it." He pointed to her shaky fingers. She tightened them as if to hide it.

Alexis turned to Violet. "Violet, what is he talking about?"

"Don’t worry, it’s nothing." She frowned. "We have an agreement. We get the Golden Anchor stone of healing to help her, Alexis, get better. After that, you have no more business with us."

After that, she brandished her weapon to slice off the wings of one of the vampires coming for them.

After which she continued deeper into the cave.

Eros helped Alexis up. He wanted to carry her again, but she refused. "Don’t worry, I can walk myself." She stood and hurried towards Violet.

Ngozi rose, "They are ungrateful husband." She whispered, "You show them too much kindness."

Eros leaned into her, pinching her nipples. A shock ran through her body. "I alone dictate who I am kind to..."

Ngozi paused. Her breath became heavy and labored. His touch did something to her. Even when it was to ensure discipline. And in a place like this. It felt so wrong. Yet, her body, ever so led to be pleased by him, submitted, and her wetness let loose.

"Do you understand?" Eros added, and both women nodded.

He flipped his robes and continued the advance deeper. Just ahead, there was a wall. It had strange runes on it, but these ones were even stranger than the previous ones that they saw before entering the place.

Violet attempted to push it open, and it did open, but just as she did, Eros moved, pulling her back by the collar.

Just in time before an arrow moved, whistling past her ear.

It stuck on the wall behind them. Violet swallowed hard. To think that she, who was usually alert, was caught off guard like that. To her, this was a shame, but even more so, she turned and looked at the projectile.

It was no normal one. The arrow was red and glowing all over. And before their eyes, it melted. These were molten arrows. Whatever was behind this door was shooting lava in the form of arrows at them.

"I suggest we do not rush without caution. As the saying goes, ’A dragon, no matter how mighty, cannot win a snake in its own hole.’" Eros stepped forward. Violet frowned but stepped back. Oh, she was angry, infuriated that after her outburst only moments ago, she had ended up being saved by this annoying man.

Eros waved his hand, and then the Orb appeared. He brought it close to the door, and then a holographic image appeared. It carried details on what was behind the door. But more importantly, it stated that they needed to solve the runes—puzzles in front—before they could enter.

Violet spoke up. "No wonder. If we solve the puzzle, we will be able to move unhindered, right?"

However, Eros suddenly gave a sly smile. "Of course, I should have known. I was right from the start." Instantly, before their eyes, he crushed the Orb.

Everyone looked at him surprised.

"What are you doing? Is that not supposed to be our map, and how do we solve the puzzles to..."

He chuckled, "We don’t."

The women looked at him as if he were crazy. But Eros suddenly stepped forward and kicked the door, smashing it. The moment he did, an incredible sight was before their eyes.

The women behind were shocked some more at it.

"You see... I just realized something."

"We never needed the map." Violet finished his words with anger in her eyes as she brandished her huge sword in a fighting stance.
