Yes, Soul Devourer and his companions are in danger. According to the original plan, Sun Wukong and his team were supposed to distract the main forces of the Myriad Demons Palace, while Soul Devouring Quiet Jade and the others would launch a surprise attack from behind. But now that they have fallen into a trap, and the Myriad Demons Palace they encountered was a fake, it's certain that they are facing the real Myriad Demons Palace, and it is on full alert for defense. Just now, Sun Wukong suddenly thought that if all of this was also orchestrated by Ling Weiyang, then the biggest problem lies with He Tu. Although it's possible that He Tu is also unaware, the chance that he has become an agent for the Myriad Demons Country cannot be ruled out. As implausible as it may sound, it is very likely. If He Tu had indeed become one of the Myriad Demons Country, then this surprise attack by Soul Devourer and Ghost Jade is nothing but a suicide mission.

Once Flame God received Sun Wukong's order, he naturally didn't hesitate to charge towards the due north direction, with over fifty Fire Phoenixes closely following him. They streaked across the sky like a fiery red meteor shower, speeding towards the north. Estimating the time, Soul Devourer and his team were very likely to have already launched their attack; even if they had noticed something amiss, the possibility of being counter-ambushed by the Myriad Demons Country hadn't been excluded.

How many contingencies had Ling Weiyang planned? Just how deep is his cunning?

As everyone flew, Sun Wukong had already instructed Flame God to find a way to gather up the flames on the Fire Phoenixes' bodies. Even though this operation was likely known to the Myriad Demons Palace, concealing their approach as much as possible was much better than charging in openly. Sun Wukong also harbored another concern—if things were as he suspected, then the rupture between the Underworld God Army and Ling Weiyang might also be a ruse. Nevertheless, he had already considered this possibility. Therefore, led by several huge gorillas, the thousands of Ferocious Beasts from the east were moving towards the Myriad Demons Palace. Whether the Underworld God Army was actually putting on an act with Ling Weiyang or not, a horde of Ferocious Beasts would be a headache for them.

Moreover, considering what Master Zun had previously mentioned about the tens of thousands of the Underworld God Army in that mountain cave where Ming Liekuang resided, Sun Wukong ordered the three Domain Lord Level black gorillas to expand the army of Ferocious Beasts as much as possible on their way to the Myriad Demons Palace, gathering all the Ferocious Beasts they encountered. Otherwise, to the tens of thousands of the Underworld God Army, a mere few thousand Ferocious Beasts wouldn't pose any challenge. It was also fortunate that the Patrolling Celestial World was full of powerful Ferocious Beasts. Although there were none at the Domain Lord Level, there were still many at the Eight Patterns and Nine Patterns levels. Without them, there would be no point in fighting.

In about one and a half Chinese Hours, Sun Wukong and his companions rode on the non-luminous Fire Phoenixes and arrived over the real Myriad Demons Palace. However, when they looked down, they were astonished to discover that an intense battle was indeed taking place beneath them. Contrary to their expectations, it was not the forces of the Myriad Demons Country pressing down and fighting against the Ancient Primordial World and the Canglan River Realm, but rather the reverse—beneath them, around sixty or seventy individuals were besieging about twenty individuals from the Myriad Demons Palace.

What was going on? Where did all these people come from? The Myriad Gods Hall only had four people, and the Ancient Primordial World only three. Even including the Canglan River Realm, there should be at most around thirty people, but there were sixty or seventy people below. Who were the additional thirty or so people? Everyone from the Netherworld World tried hard to figure it out but couldn't determine where these extra thirty-plus individuals came from. Originally, among the ten forces, people from four forces were completely eliminated, so their people couldn't possibly still be here.

Looking back at his companions, Sun Wukong saw that everyone from the Netherworld World and the Fangcun Spirit Realm was present, which was odd—it couldn't be that thirty plus individuals had just appeared out of thin air? At that moment, several individuals behind Sun Wukong suddenly cried out in alarm. They had special Pupil Skills and therefore could see the situation below more clearly. And when they recognized the combatants down below, several of them couldn't help but exclaim, "Impossible, the people down there, they, they've already died!"

The person was so startled that his expression wasn't entirely accurate. The group besieging the Myriad Demons Palace was, of course, alive. More precisely, among those sixty or seventy people, half were once dead, but now they had been resurrected! Yes, resurrected. And it wasn't just one or two individuals that had been resurrected, but except for those from the Ancient Primordial World whose cultivations had been taken away by Dao Zhun and sent to a small world, nearly all had come back to life.

Of course, this 'all were resurrected' wasn't absolute, but a great majority of those who died in battle had come back to life. The sixty or seventy people engaged in fierce battle below were not the only ones; another twenty or so individuals had already broken into the Myriad Demons Palace, currently fighting with the guardian puppets inside. Upon hearing the shocked exclamations, Sun Wukong immediately used his Heaven and Earth Fire Eyes to take a closer look, and he too was flabbergasted. Indeed, they had been resurrected; there were many among them whom he had personally seen slain by the enemy. Yet now those same individuals he had witnessed dying in battle were vigorously fighting below.

What Sun Wukong and the others didn't realize was that their resurrection could be wholly attributed to a person from the Ancient Primordial World, Cheng Qian. Cheng Qian had once led four people, responsible for guarding the Primordial Palace. They were ambushed by the Evil Monarch and his followers. Except for him, all the guardians died in battle, while he alone managed to protect the Primordial Palace from falling, thanks to his powerful defensive abilities. After the Soul Devouring Monk and the others had gone back, Cheng Qian used the birth data and some personal items provided by the Soul Devouring Monk for all the deceased to perform a Forbidden Technique.

It was this technique that resurrected most of the fallen on the spot, and they were resurrected in a damage-free state. When the Soul Devouring Monk previously told Dao Zhun that he needed some time to prepare, he was referring to this matter. This technique of Cheng Qian was called the Space-Time Dissociative Resurrection Technique. It wasn't simply a kind of resurrection spell that brings back the dead, but one that could manipulate space-time, bringing back a person who has died at a specific past moment in time, dissociating them from that time.

For instance, say someone died today at noon. Cheng Qian could use this technique to bring the person from yesterday into today. Since the person from today was already dead and essentially nonexistent, the person from yesterday could naturally take their place, continue living in today's time, and even move on into the future.

This technique was something only Cheng Qian in the entire Ancient Primordial World could use, and every time he utilized it, he had to pay a significant price. The biggest cost was that for every person he resurrected with this technique, he would have to take the life of an equal person in the future. In other words, every time he revived someone, he would eventually have to kill someone in return. No one knew the connection, but it was something that had to be done or risk the unknown consequences.

Hence, this time Cheng Qian revived nearly sixty people in one go. Once the Patrolling Celestial World trial was over, he would have to kill a corresponding number of people separately in the Myriad Gods Hall, the Canglan River Realm, and his own Ancient Primordial World. No matter how it was viewed, Cheng Qian's technique caused a revolutionary change in the entire battle. With numbers nearly four times that of the Myriad Demons Country, the Soul Devouring Monk and the others drove them into consistent retreat. Sun Wukong believed that even without intervening himself, the Myriad Demons Country was doomed today.

Yet, observing this favorable situation, Sun Wukong felt an incessant unease in his heart. It was as if he had inadvertently forgotten something of utmost importance, but he couldn't recall it at the moment. The Underworld God Army? No, that wasn't it. He had already prepared for the re-emergence of the Underworld God Army. Moreover, Sun Wukong could sense that in the eastern part of the Myriad Demons Palace, the army of Ferocious Beasts had arrived; they were merely hidden in the shadows, motionless without Sun Wukong's orders.

If not the Underworld God Army, then what could it be? The Heavenly Stele of Burning Fire hidden by Xi Zhao? On the last day of their conversation, Xi Zhao had already admitted to Sun Wukong that the Ninth Pattern World Suppressing Stele truly was in his possession. That night, he had summoned the Flame God to witness the Stele's acknowledgement process, which was merely a pretext for the Flame God to serve as a witness. The abrupt vanishing of the Stele into thin air was his doing, leading to the Flame God being framed. However, Sun Wukong had been aware of Xi Zhao possessing the Burning Fire Stele for some time and had already prepared for it with Old Sha.

Beyond the World Suppressing Stele, what else could there be? The Formless Vanishing in Xi Zhao's hand and the Formless Divine Weapon in Ling Weiyang's possession? Sun Wukong also learned from Dao Zhun about these two artifacts; the weapons were what had become of Master Zun's Divine Sword when it was shattered while slaying the Underworld Venerate. They were simply re-forged by the two individuals into their respective Divine Weapons; Master Zun also mentioned that these two artifacts, having become independent from one another, could not be fused again.

Then, what else was there?

As he pondered, a streak of lightning flashed through Sun Wukong's mind. He realized that indeed there was something he had forgotten because Xi Zhao had never used it. However, combining his previous findings, that thing was definitely dangerous! (To be continued.
