Greatest Legacy of the Magus Universe-Chapter 653 Wild Spirit
Under the ethereal glow of the twin moons, a horse-drawn carriage traveled the bustling streets of the Uptown Quarter.
The carriage was black in color and so were the steeds pulling it. The coachman driving the carriage belonged to a private enterprise that provided transportation services to the nobles and wealthy merchants.
Although their services were seldom availed since most of the affluent people in the city had their own carriages and coachmen.
Evidently, not all of them did.

Adam sat in the luxurious leather seat in the carriage, resting his elbow on the window ledge and gazing at Selene and Luna who had hidden behind the clouds, seemingly in preparation for the storm that was brewing on the horizon.
He would be knowingly entering enemy territory tonight and, needless to say, it was going to be a highly risky endeavor. But ever since time immemorial, danger and opportunity have always coexisted together. One only needed the courage to endure the risk.
If everything goes according to my plans tonight, then we will have dealt a severe blow to the Cult of Bones, he thought to himself.
This would be the first substantive step forward we will have taken in our battle against that evil cult. Failure's not an option!
"Halt!" The voice of a Rank 1 Magus who was guarding the grand gates to a luxurious estate jolted him out of his thoughts.
Adam looked ahead and saw that he had arrived at his destination - the Feno Estate.
"State your identity!" One of the many elven guards stationed at the gate approached the coachman.
The coachman respectfully handed him his identity documents as well as his proof of employment at the company he worked at. The guard scrutinized the documents before handing them back to the man.
He then walked toward the window of the carriage and politely asked, "Sir, may I see your identification, please?"
"Oh?" Adam raised his eyebrow in amusement. "You're quite polite for someone working for a Councilor of Ravenfell, aren't ya?" He then conjured two medallions, one black and the other off-white, and handed them to the guard.
The guard ignored Adam's remark and observed the two identification tokens and was taken aback a moment later. One stated that he was a graduate student in Saratoga Castle, but that wasn't what shocked him.
It was the other medallion, one that displayed his Grade 2 Herbalist status in the famed Herbalist Guild!
He's probably the same age as the Young Lady but he's already a Grade 2 Herbalist? Incredible! Thought the elven guard as he handed the two tokens back to Adam.
"Welcome to the Feno Estate, Lord Constantine." The guard respectfully bowed. "You may go inside."

Adam nodded and kept back the tokens. He then leaned back in his seat and enjoyed the scenery of the luxurious estate as the carriage entered through the gates.
Everything in the estate was well-maintained and there was a sense of beauty wherever one's gaze landed. Such were the aesthetics that the elves prided themselves on.
Because the estate was so large, it took Adam a few minutes to even reach the manor's front yard. There was a mesmerizing fountain right in front of the three-story manor that caught Adam's attention instantly.
Those twin mermaid statues seemed to be made of rosé mithril, he thought. How fancy… As expected of a Councilor, I suppose. He must be filthy rich.
The carriage traveled around the fountain and stopped right before the entrance to the lavish manor. There were a few elven guards standing by the towering wooden doors, but apart from them, no one else was there.
I suppose a gentleman like me should step out of the carriage and wait for my… uh, lady to arrive, he thought to himself in amusement.
The door to the carriage opened and Adam stepped out, revealing his outfit for the event later that night. As always, he was dressed in all black.
He wore high black boots that extended all the way up to his knees, made primarily from the leather of a Rank 2 magical beast. It featured black laces over the shin for a tight and secure fit. It was a perfect combination of combat and style.
His trousers were made of cotton and reinforced by magical enchantments. He wore a long, elegant coat-like garment that exuded regal charm. It was made from luxurious fabric and featured silver thread embroidery at the hems.
It was long and fitted, extending down to his knees. If it weren't for the elegant and trendy design of the coat, one would assume that the youth was going into battle.
Adam had cut his long wavy hair short. It was now medium-length and parted from the middle, giving him a refined appearance. His face was clean-shaven, highlighting his defined jawline.
Thanks to the several body enhancements he had gone through, he was a far cry from what he used to look like when he had arrived at Ravenfell. He was now tall and decent-looking. Moreover, the ten obsidian hoop earrings he had donned allowed him to display a wild spirit.
He stood right outside the carriage with his hands clasped behind his back, gazing at the twin moons in a silent daze when suddenly the doors to the manor opened and someone stepped out.
Adam turned his attention to see who it was, and the next moment his eyebrows rose in surprise. It wasn't Qamara, whom he was expecting, but her father, the Rank 3 - Mana Vortex Magus, Nylian Feno!
The elf with the long, ash-blond hair wore a simple trouser and white tunic as he slowly and calmly stepped down the stairs of his house and approached Adam. His indifferent eyes never left the youth, as if he was observing prey.
Seeing this Adam couldn't help but feel his lips twitch a little. Why are you treating me like an enemy? I'm just taking your daughter out.
He then placed his right hand over his chest and slightly bowed, "It is an honor to meet you, Lord Feno."
Nylian didn't speak a word. He walked up to Adam and stretched his hand out for a handshake. Seeing this, Adam couldn't help but frown slightly.
What is he trying to do? He thought.
Regardless, he thought it would be disrespectful to keep the elf hanging. So he too stretched out his hand and firmly shook Nylian's hand. But as soon as their hands clasped tightly together, Adam's eyes narrowed.
Nylian's mana was trying to invade his body through the physical contact!
