Leaving Sam's office, Max let out a relieved sigh.

Standing on his side, Nina giggled and looked at him.

"Both apartments look nice. Do you think you will choose from one of them?"

"I think so." Max answered, looking at her, "But we finished way earlier than I thought. I just need to see the apartment later, so I have time. Do you want to grab lunch? It's my treat."

"On you? Really?"

"As thanks for accompanying me." Max smiled at her, "What do you think about steak?"

Hearing Max's suggestion, Nina's face lit up in happiness.

"Steak!" She exclaimed. Then, her face turned into worry, "Are you sure that we should eat steak? Isn't it expensive?"

"Hehehe," He grinned widely and put his thumb and index finger together. "I am rich now. I just got paid yesterday."

"Oooh! I see! In that case, let's get steak!"

Nina nodded repeatedly in understanding, looking excited. She walked first without waiting for Max. After a few steps, she turned around and waved at him.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go!" freeweɓnovel.cøm

Looking at her excited figure put a smile on his face. He followed her while putting his hands in his pocket.

The steak was nice, although it took a good chunk of Max's wallet. Even so, he was happy that Nina was also satisfied.

After eating, they walked around the city for a little bit, talking about some random stuff. Of course, this time he wore a mask to cover his face. He didn't want to get more attention than he deserved. The bulletin board really did give him some fame.

Her attitude had returned to normal before long, and she became cheerful again. And when they returned home, Nina suddenly said something.

"Actually, I also started playing games! I looked through a list of recommended games last night and found something fun. It's called Bikes Are Girls. Do you know about it?"

Max had heard about that. StoneSword also recommended that game to him before. He didn't expect to hear it from Nina's lips.

"I know. It's a race game, right?" He answered.

"Hnn!" She confirmed with a nod, "You choose one bike and become a Bike Girl! Each girl has a different skill that they can use to race to the finish. The first one to finish is the winner. I watched some videos on Punchtube last night, and it made me want to play. So, I bought it!"

"Hoo, that's surprising. I thought you didn't like playing games."

In the past, Nina had rejected his invitation to play Knight's Journey, saying she didn't play any games and didn't like it much. So, it was surprising that she suddenly bought one.

"Hehe, I actually watched your stream last night." She said, giggling like a little kid. "You seemed to have fun with your friends, so… I think I might give it a try. I now have time to rest and try games because dad hired someone to help the restaurant."

'Ah, so that's why.' Max now understood why she had acted strangely before he had taken her to eat steak. 'Girls are complicated.' He lamented.

"That's great. Tell me if it's any fun. Today will be my last day streaming V-Shelter Survival, and I will play another game soon. If Bikes Are Girls is a fun game, I might play that next. That way, we can also play together."

"Sure! Let me try it first."

They talked about new topics as they walked back. Nina was curious about Max's journey to become a streamer and asked many questions. He happily answered all of them without hiding anything except for his system.

After they arrived at the 6th block, Max escorted Nina back to the restaurant before heading to his apartment. There were many things he needed to do for the rest of the day before streaming.

Firstly, he needed to inspect those two apartments.

Entering his VR capsule, he entered the code for the apartment's room tour to get the application that he could use to enter the VR space.

"Hmm, 82z0mmj0GBKno6. That should be correct."

A new application popped up on his screen after he inputted the code. It was called MyApartment, and there was only one room that he could enter thanks to the code. The room's name was Happy Apartment Room 62, the one available for rent.

He chose it and dived into the VR world. The scenery changed from the sight inside his capsule into a cozy living room with a warm light. It was the room shown in that image before.

"Hmm." Max hummed as he looked around. A nice view from the balcony and a spacious place to exercise lightly.

This might be the best place he could get for under $3,000. No, it might be the only place that was that cheap, even with this kind of interior.

He looked around the room more, checking the shower and bedrooms. Just as Sam had said, there were two bedrooms. One was a master bedroom with a large bed and spacious area, and one was a guest room.

After he was satisfied, he looked at the second one. If he wanted to explain it with words, it lacked everything the first apartment had to offer.

"The first one was too perfect." He said, huffing air from his nostril. "There might be a catch if I take that apartment, but it won't be too bad, right? I have to trust Chef Rush for his recommendation."

It was easy to decide, so he contacted Sam that he would like to see the property directly tomorrow. They made an appointment, and the call ended in just a few seconds.

Then, he needed to deal with the other important matter that was left unattended for 3 days.

Sitting on a chair in his grassy plain Lobby, Max looked at his contact list. Only a few people were in it, showing how much interaction he had with people. It was… too few that it looked pitiful.

However, all the names written in this contact list were important. Both for him and other people, they were famous.

He looked at a certain contact named Mr. Taka and pressed the call. He hoped he didn't really bother him and was put in a voicemail because that would be awkward.

Thankfully, the other party seemed to be free enough to accept his call. His face popped up on a small screen in front of him.

"Hello, Breeze. Have you decided on your answer?" Mr. Taka asked with a friendly smile, not rushing or anything. He was like a kind uncle from the next door, even when his position in Biozone Entertainment was close to the top.

Max appreciated how he acted in front of him. It didn't make him nervous, and they actually always had a pleasant conversation.

"Yes, Mr. Taka." He answered with a nod, straightening his sitting position. "I'd like to sign the contract."

"That's great!" Mr. Taka exclaimed, sounding excited after hearing Max's decision.

"I shall write the full contract soon. How about we talk about it more before signing it? I will do my best to give the best we can offer for a talent like you. Oh, don't worry about the lawyer too. We will take care of it. Or if you don't like it, you can hire the lawyer you trust."

"I appreciate it, Mr. Taka. Thank you for your help. I will trust the lawyer from Biozone Entertainment."

That was the safe bet. The big company surely wouldn't try to scam him, right? He also had talked about it with Flexy and knew what kind of support he should get. So he would be fine.

"I see. I will contact you again tomorrow. Is 11 AM okay for you?" Mr. Taka asked.

"That would be perfect."

The call ended with that.

From that moment, he somehow felt that his journey to become a big streamer had just gotten a new start.
