Guide Me If You Dare-Chapter 126: EXTRAORDINARY RAMPAGE
Chapter 126: EXTRAORDINARY RAMPAGE
THE MOONLIGHT HOTEL was a hotel located in the heart of Seoul.
To be precise, it was in one of the richest neighborhoods in the country.
And, thankfully, Lee Sarang’s house was in the same neighborhood.
Hence, Yuno and Ki Gayoon arrived there just a few minutes after leaving the hotel.
But, of course, it came with a small price.
Blergh.
Yuno covered his mouth with his hand when he almost threw up after getting out of Ki Gayoon’s sports car.
"Are you okay?"
"Hyung, I know cars could go that fast since I watch F1," Yuno said while gently thumping his fist against his chest. "But we practically flew here."
"Ah, that?" Ki Gayoon shrugged. "I used a bit of my power to push the car faster."
Aigoo.
I almost died.
But Yuno couldn’t complain since they were in a hurry.
Moreover...
BANG!
That was the sound of something exploding in the house, causing the ground to shake.
A fight...!
"Let’s go," Ki Gayoon said, wrapping an arm around Yuno’s waist. "Hold on tight and close your eyes if you’re scared."
Yuno already knew what his Esper was about to do, so he hugged Ki Gayoon as if his life depended on it, and then he shut his eyes tight— praying that he wouldn’t get dizzy from this "ride" this time.
"We’re gonna fly, Yuno-ya."
And Yuno had to bite his lower lip when he felt his body shot up in the sky.
I didn’t mean this when I said I wanted to be a passenger princess...
CRAAASH.
That was the sound of glass breaking.
Ki Gayoon probably kicked the glass window in order to get in.
Of course, the Esper’s telekinesis power protected them from getting hit by the broken pieces of the glass.
So, Esper Lee Sarang-ssi’s house isn’t Ki Gayoon-proof.
"We’re in," Ki Gayoon said when they landed safely, and then he helped Yuno get on his feet. "Are you okay, little scaredy cat?"
"Do you really have to put "little" before the stupid pet names you give me, Hyung?" Yuno complained as he opened his eyes. "I’m not small."
"Yeah, you’re pretty average," Ki Gayoon said, and then his eyes landed on Yuno’s crotch area. "But compared to mine..."
"We’re not talking about that, Hyung," Yuno said, grabbing Ki Gayoon by the chin and forcing him to raise his head. "My eyes are up here."
"I like this," Ki Gayoon said, his gaze getting heated. "You should treat me like this in bed, Yuno-ya. I don’t mind if you grab or manhandle me."
"Is this your awakening as a masochist, Hyung?"
"Maybe? I don’t mind if it’s you who punish me, Yuno-ya."
Aigoo.
Yuno pinched Ki Gayoon’s chin before letting go quite roughly.
"Rough," Ki Gayoon said teasingly, smirking. "I think I just discovered a kink thanks to you."
"Hyung, you’re embarrassing me."
"That’s my purpose in life."
Fortunately, that silly banter quickly ended when...
"I hate to interrupt your fun conversation, but I kind of need your help," Lee Sarang, who materialized out of nowhere, said shyly. "Gayoon Oppa, I failed to stop the intruder from entering the frozen room."
Yuno was surprised to hear that.
Esper Lee Sarang-ssi is the second strongest Esper in the country...
"I don’t think the intruder could easily break Choi Kangmin’s ice coffin, but it’s better to stop him now before he causes more damage."
Ah, so the intruder was a man.
"I’ll take care of the intruder, so go and evacuate your household staff," Ki Gayoon said. "They’re the reason why you didn’t go all out, right?"
Lee Sarang nodded. "We have a shelter underground, but the intruder brought some small dungeon monsters. My guild members are dealing with them, but I’m still worried."
"Go," Ki Gayoon said. "I’ll fix your house if I accidentally destroyed it."
"Yes, Oppa. Thank you," Lee Sarang said, bowing towards Ki Gayoon politely. "Take care, Oppa, Yuno-ssi."
Ki Gayoon just nodded.
Yuno also nodded, and then he waved Lee Sarang goodbye.
Dungeon monsters?
Hmm.
The enemy is craftier than expected.
"There are really bastards out there who capture dungeon monsters and turn them into weapons, huh?" Ki Gayoon commented while shaking his head as they made their way to the frozen room. "Don’t leave my side, Yuno-ya."
"I know, Hyung," Yuno said, reaching for Ki Gayoon’s sleeve. "I’m not suicidal."
Ki Gayoon grabbed his hand before he could grab his sleeve. "You’ll wrinkle my suit."
Oh, right.
"Hyung, I’m a little nervous," Yuno admitted, squeezing Ki Gayoon’s hand. "Shouldn’t we call for back-up?"
"Nah, I don’t need it. Lee Sarang is already here," Ki Gayoon said confidently. "And I’m sure the others are already busy with the two serial killers that we caught."
Right.
Two Top 5 Espers are already here, so we’ll be fine, right?
"Are you scared?"
"Just a little," Yuno admitted. Fearing a crafty enemy wasn’t something he should be embarrassed about. "It’s not that I don’t trust you, Hyung. But, for some reason, I suddenly feel nervous."
"Don’t worry, Yuno-ya," Ki Gayoon said, and then he kicked the door of the frozen room. "I’ll protect you no matter what."
Woah.
Yuno shouldn’t have been shocked, but he was still pretty impressed when the door flew away as if it were a rug.
Brrr.
The cold gust of wind that greeted them instantly made Yuno shiver, but his shiver worsened when he saw a stranger trying to melt Choi Kangmin’s ice coffin with what seemed like a walking cane...
Hmm?
That looks very familiar.
A walking cane with a torch at the other end...
... while the cane itself was studded with what seemed like gemstones with different shapes and cuts.
But those "gemstones..."
Those are Guides’ Cores!
But that cane belonged to ’Father.’
The man, the culprit, was dressed in a maroon suit— his face was covered with a round mask with South Korea’s flag on it.
I’m sure this isn’t Father, but...
Yuno snapped out of his train of thought when the masked man suddenly disappeared from where he stood.
Tsk!
And then the culprit suddenly appeared a few feet away from them while swinging his walking cane at Ki Gayoon.
Yuno forced his body to move, pushing his Esper aside.
Of course, a weak Guide like him couldn’t push Ki Gayoon far. In fact, it looked like Ki Gayoon only stepped aside out of shock at his sudden movement.
Yuno didn’t have time to explain as he grabbed the walking cane with his bare hand— his eyes glowing red as he was using more Mana than usual. And yes, he just undid his seal in order to fight.
I’m sorry, Sajangnim.
"Noh Yuno—"
"Stay there, Hyung," Yuno said in a serious voice. "You’ll die if you get hit by this cane— this is made from Cores of dead Gudies, specifically made to kill Espers like you."
Ki Gayoon looked like he was about to say something, but the "culprit" beat him to it.
"Is that you, Yihun-ah?"
Hmm?
Yuno turned to the masked man...
... who had just removed his weird mask.
Red hair.
Orange eyes.
That sly-looking face.
And that creepy smile that gave all E-Class Guides nightmares in the past...
"Hyung-nim," Yuno whispered, clutching his chest tight when his heart thumped hard and fast against his chest. "Jacob Hyung-nim..."

"YUNO-kun’s siblings?" Haru asked curiously. "You mean those Disciples who escaped when you raided the Lab?"
Moon Noa nodded, sighing when he remembered how they failed to capture those who had escaped back then.
They have successfully hidden themselves all these years, so why appear now?
"Even if the enemies turned out to be Yuno-kun’s "siblings," I don’t see the problem," Haru said, as naïve as ever. "Isn’t Yuno-kun the so-called Father’s greatest ’masterpiece?’"
Aigoo.
"Yuyu is called the ’masterpiece’ only because he mastered the E-Class Guides’ ’Way,’" Moon Noa explained. "But Yuyu is the weakest among Father’s Disciples when it comes to physical strength and Esper-likeness. And, as a result, his older "siblings" used to bully him."

KI GAYOON was a bit confused, but he knew one thing: this damn bastard with an ugly English name1 was hurting Noh Yuno.
No, it was just more than physical pain— it was a mental attack.
That bastard is reliving Noh Yuno’s trauma!
The way the punk was sweating bullets while breathing heavily wasn’t normal.
Gayoon stomped his foot on the floor, causing hundreds of stone spears to emerge— every single one of those things headed in the bastard’s way, ready to pierce him.
However, much to his shock, the bastard hit the end of the walking cane into the floor.
And then his stone spears abruptly stopped mid-air.
How could he do that...?
The bastard hit the walking cane onto the floor once again.
And, this time, the stone spears changed their direction and headed towards Noh Yuno.
Dammit!
Gayoon stomped his foot on the floor again to conjure walls to protect Noh Yuno, but for some reason, his summoned skill suddenly got canceled.
Ah.
He belatedly realized that the bastard with an ugly English name probably had a nullifying ability.
It’s definitely the cane.
Of course, Gayoon could have easily overpowered the enemy with his raw strength, but he chose to protect Noh Yuno first by literally throwing his body to shield him— standing in front of his punk.
Argh!
The stone spears that he summoned earlier pierced throughout his body.
Gayoon protected his head and all his vital organs with his Mana, but that didn’t mean it didn’t hurt.
At least, I could use Mana. The nullifying ability probably only works on skills.
The use of Mana wasn’t considered a skill since it was natural to all Awakened People.
Skills would be his telekinesis and earth manipulation abilities, in this case.
Thanks to Gayoon’s Mana, he was still able to use his superhuman strength and speed to break all the stone spears— yes, while he was bleeding and all.
He didn’t care about his injuries, though.
As long as I protect Noh Yuno, I’ll be fine.
"Hyung!"
Whew.
Gayoon quickly turned around to face Noh Yuno.
Of course, not without covering his entire body with Mana for protection.
"I’m fine," Gayoon said calmly while breaking the last stone spear in two with his bare hands. His body felt heavy because of the stone spears that pierced through his body, but he didn’t show it. "Give me a minute, I’ll deal with that bastard— argh!"
The fucking cane pierced through Gayoon’s heart, shockingly breaking his Mana shield in the process.
***
YUNO was shocked after seeing the cane pierce through Ki Gayoon’s chest.
This can’t be...
Even if Ki Gayoon couldn’t use his skills, his control of his Mana should still have been enough to protect himself even from the walking cane.
But here was the Esper now— barely conscious while still on his feet.
It got more powerful than the last time I saw it?
"Noh Yihun, is that your Esper?" Jacob asked mockingly. "Then I guess you have to find someone new."
Haaah.
Yuno’s heart was beating like crazy— and a strange noise kept ringing in his head.
Ah, it’s happening.
Rampage.
Yuno— a Guide who shouldn’t be capable of going on a Rampage— was about to self-destruct, and so he slowly walked towards Jacob, walking past Ki Gayoon who was too weak to stop him.
I’m not going down alone. ƒгeewёbnovel.com

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I posted a short portion of the original draft of Guide Me if You Dare on my kofi (kofi .com/sola_cola) page with the title ’IDOL X GANGSTER’. In that draft, Yuno is still named ’Yihun’ and he’s a flop Kpop idol (in need of a sponsor/sugar daddy? LOL).
But I changed my mind because all my Guideverse main characters (Wonhee from My First Life as an S-Class Guide and Gyubin from Time-Limited F-Class Housewife) are all celebrities already.
Anyways, I also posted the book cover that I drew for the original draft. On that cover, Yuno/Yihun has mint green hair (since he was originally an idol). Ki Gayoon is still a gangster, but the Ki Gayoon in the original draft is playful and not grumpy.
Check it out if you can, and you may also donate "coffee" if you want. Hehe.
Thank you for the support! :>

I apologize to all Jacobs in the world. But this is only Gayoon’s opinion. Haha!
