When Young Master Cai heard that it was a special recipe, he nodded and understood. So it was something that Second Sister Xiao's family made? No wonder he didn't find it anywhere.

"Then I will leave this matter to you, Second Sister Xiao," said Young Master Cai with a smile on his face.

"Yeah—yeah, leave it to me," dazed by his smile, Second Sister Xiao nodded like a fool and stood in the same spot for a long, long time even though Young Master Cai left long ago.

It was after more than ten minutes, did Second Sister Xiao snapped out of her daze. She smiled giddily and rubbed the back of her head. Finally, the opportunity that she had been waiting for was here! All she needed was to make use of it.

If she could win the heart of Young Master Cai's grandmother then certainly she would be able to marry that man. Not to mention she would become the savior of Young Master Cai's grandma.

Who would refuse her?

With that thought in her head, Second Sister Xiao turned on her feet and rushed out of the academy. She needed to go and bring back a jar of sauce at once.

While Second Sister Xiao was running back home, Master Xiao was looking for her. However, when he did not find his sister, he turned around and walked back to where he had left his wife and daughters.

But he found that Madam Kong, his daughters and Guo Zian were no longer standing in the same spot. They were now looking at bolts of fabric instead of waiting for him.

Master Xiao pulled a long face once again, he couldn't believe that his wife didn't wait for him. She could have at least waited for him. Why did she run off to the shop again without him?

He walked over to the shop quickly, and he saw Madam Kong nodding at the bolt of fabrics that the two girls had chosen. His daughters were smiling, obviously, they were really happy.

He glanced at Guo Zian and said in dissatisfaction, "Why did you not wait for me? I came back to look for you all but you didn't even stay where you left me."

"You need to correct that statement, Master Xiao," said Guo Zian as he picked up two bolts of fabrics for his daughters as well. "We didn't leave you, it was you who ran after your sister. Since you are confident about leaving then you can get back just alright."

Master Xiao scowled at him.

Madam Kong glanced at Master Xiao and said, "Pili and Li liked these bolts of fabrics. Take the money out you brought with you."

When Master Xiao heard Madam Kong's words, his expression changed. He glanced at the fabric bolts and knew that they were expensive. He said, "What money? You want to buy clothes for them?"

"That's right."

"There is no need," he charged forward and then snatched the bolts of fabrics from Kong Pili and Kong Li's hands and placed them back on the counter. "Their clothes are just fine. Why buy new ones? We are not buying it. Why waste money?"

Kong Pili's expression soured while Kong Li's smile also disappeared. Her lips flattened as she turned to look at her mother. With an aggrieved voice, she said, "Mother, how come it is not a waste that my auntie buys clothes for every season but it is a waste if I and my sister buy clothes? We are your daughters!"

Madam Kong also thought the same thing in the past, she thought that there was no point in buying clothes for children as they would end up ruining their new clothes with how boisterous they usually were.

Not to mention her daughters were learning how to cook from her, surely they would dirty their clothes.

But now she has changed her mind. If she saved the money then the one who would benefit would be her in-laws.

She would rather buy clothes and use the money in Master Xiao's hands or else the one who would take advantage of her would be Second Sister Xiao and Eldest Sister Xiao.

"Look at you! Is there a father like you? How can you do such a thing?" Madam Kong snarled at Master Xiao with a displeased expression, she threatened him with a gloomy face, "If you don't want me to file a complaint of theft against you and your sisters, you better take the money out. That money belongs to my daughters, not you, Master Xiao.

Or else I will take back even the chicken feather you took to your family."

Master Xiao was shocked when he heard Madam Kong's words. "You will..you will file a complaint against me? I am your husband!"

"Not if I divorce you!" Madam Kong snapped. "I am telling you, Xiao Xiao. You are walking on thin ice, the only reason I am still allowing you to live with me is because of my daddy and daughters. If you upset them, I will kick you out of the house!"

"You better treat them well."

Master Xiao was so angry that he wanted to refuse Madam Kong and fight with her but when he saw that Madam Kong looked serious, he panicked.

Master Xiao understood that his wife was speaking her mind. If he dared to refuse her now, she might divorce him right now.

Not to mention, she would even take the money back which he had given to his family.

But how could that work? His parents worked so hard to raise him and his siblings. How could he trouble them like this?

"Take out the money," said Madam Kong angrily. "If you don't then I will write the separation documents for you right now. You can go right back to your family whom you love so much. Of course, our daughters will stay with me."

She dared not to send her daughters to Master Kong's family, who knows how he would treat them when he treated them so roughly under her nose?
