Has Big Shot Fallen in Love Today?-Chapter 908: Itchy Hands
There’s no filming at night, and no entertainment activities either.
There’s no Wi-Fi on the mountain, only cellular data, and the signal is sometimes strong, sometimes weak.
Around nine o’clock at night, the entire forest becomes quiet, and everyone goes to sleep out of boredom.
Sheng Tang and Ai’ai sleep very early every day.
At five forty in the morning, Sheng Tang wakes up before her alarm goes off.
"Sister Tang, what are you doing?" Ai’ai asks her.
"Going for a run, you keep sleeping," Sheng Tang replies.
Ai’ai rolls over.
She’s very concerned that Sheng Tang might drag her along, so she wraps herself up tightly. Sheng Tang sees this and can’t help but tease her for being lazy.
Ai’ai really is a bit lazy.
After all, she’s not a performer, she never mistreats herself. She works hard during the day, so she enjoys good food and drink, keeping her body in a satisfied state, unlike other young girls who constantly talk about dieting.
Sheng Tang greatly appreciates Ai’ai’s mindset; her optimism and carefree attitude are quite rare.
After putting on her sportswear and running shoes, Sheng Tang quickly brushes her teeth and washes her face, ties her hair into a low ponytail, and finds William already warming up in the yard when she’s about to leave.
Sheng Tang walks over, and to avoid disturbing others, they whisper to each other.
She follows William in doing a set of warm-ups, then heads out.
Running along the mountain road, the sky gradually brightens, and there’s a hint of pale light on the horizon.
The sun also begins to rise slowly.
William occasionally chats with Sheng Tang.
"...Are you tired?" After running for half an hour, William is a bit out of breath and asks Sheng Tang if she wants to rest.
Sheng Tang is also panting, but not too tired.
"I can handle it, I’ll let you know if I need to stop," Sheng Tang replies.
The two run all the way to the temple.
They glance at their watches; exactly one hour has passed.
They stop to rest.
William looks up and can still see the Taoist temple on the peak, he asks Sheng Tang, "Looks close, doesn’t it? Didn’t expect it to be this far."
"That’s the way mountain roads are, they make things look visually closer," Sheng Tang replies.
William looks curiously at the nearby Buddhist temple.
"Let’s go take a look," William suggests eagerly.
Sheng Tang takes a sip of water.
She wants to hold him back.
William is already a bit ahead of her, so Sheng Tang has to remind him aloud, "Be careful, don’t offend them."
William is unconcerned, "It’s fine, I know my limits."
The main entrance of the temple is tightly closed.
It’s a wooden door, with gaps that are neither too big nor too small, enough to peek through.
William leans on the door and takes a look inside, turns back and whispers to Sheng Tang, "There are two young monks sweeping the floor."
Sheng Tang tugs at him, "Let’s go."
"No, no, no, I want to go inside and take a look," William finally shows his mischievous side.
He wants to knock on the door.
The wooden door has two door knobs.
The knobs are upside down and rusty, which William finds interesting. He’s unsure how to knock, so he presses and pulls them.
Sheng Tang really wants to tell him to lift the ring on the knob and knock twice, or simply use his hand.
Before she can speak, William suddenly tightens his grip and pulls the knob off.
Sheng Tang: "..."
William looks at the knob in his hand, dumbstruck, "This..."
Sheng Tang thinks he’s caused trouble.
Leaving the knob and running would certainly be unethical, but they don’t have cash or phones on them to contact an assistant for money.
Sheng Tang’s eyes dart around, planning to run with William, then have an assistant send money to negotiate.
If the monks refuse to let them go and detain them here, they’ll be in even more trouble.
Just as she’s about to speak, the temple door opens.
A sixteen or seventeen-year-old monk, holding a broom, looks at them with some doubts.
Then, he notices the knob in William’s hand, glances at the temple door, and his expression instantly changes.
