Chapter 214: Escape gone wrong

Mark sauntered over to Leon’s room and knocked on his door, fixing his clothes one last time to make him look presentable.

He had gotten busy after shower and decided to finish up with a little work, but he didn’t realize he’d get buried in it till evening.

Mark hoped Leon wasn’t pissed, he has told him he’ll come find him immediately after the shower, and he was only showing up hours later.

However, Mark didn’t entirely forget about meeting Leon. He had purposely dived into work to give Leon some space, he felt like his presence was too much fir Leon to accept; he wanted to Leon to slowly warm up to him, not get stuffed with his presence and run away.

He knocked again, no response.

He raised his hand to knock for the third time, and a voice stopped him.

"You’re a wolf for Christ’s sake. Can’t you sense he’s not in there?" Audrey asked with a sigh.

Mark frowned, running to face her, "He’s not?"

"Love does make people stupid. Yeah, he’s not in there," Audrey leaned against the wall, stating at something on her phone.

Mark cleared his throat, "Um, okay, where is he. Did he tell you where he was going? With whom?" He walked over to stand in front of her.

Audrey turned her phone to him, "Here. I was chilling with my mate when I was forced to leave and go shower you this video, so, yeah, that’s his status." She said, watching the hurt flash across Mark’s eyes.

In the video, Leon sat in a dimly lit booth, asking someone, probably the person behind the camera, if it was time for his escape.

"He wants you to leave? After promising a month? Isn’t hate fair?" Mark asked Audrey, looking lost.

Audrey sighed, "Aww, cheer up, don’t sulk. At least, he’s not gone yet. You can just hurry over before he does. Sandra is keeping him entertained till you get there." She patted his shoulder in consolation.

Mark clenched his jaws, "Where is he -"

"Oh God! Mark! Leon is really making you dumb. Look! This is your club, man," Audrey raised he phone closer to Mark’s face, exasperated.

Mark raised a brow, smirking, "That’s true. Thanks." He gave her a quick peck on the forehead and walked away.

"Eww," Audey murmured, wiping her forehead.

"But you don’t say eww when you kiss Daddy’s lips," Mikhail’s voice made Audrey jump in surprise.

"Damn, Mikhail, when did you get here?" She asked, staring at the boy with a stick on his hand.

"Just now. I asked why -"

"You’ll understand when you grow up, baby. But all I can tell you is that I love your dad, but your uncle... I do love him, but I don’t like his kisses," Audrey paused and hoped her answer made sense to the boy.

"Anyway, what are you holding? Okay, I know it’s stick, but why are you bringing it inside the house?" She asked, walking over to him to touch his face.

"It’s... um, it’s Stone’s control stick, not just an ordinary stick. I use it to tell him when to bring Ava back or keep going further. I don’t even know which side of the park he is, but he’s quite far," Mikhail explained calmly, rubbing his smooth stick with his thumb.

Audrey was quiet for a few seconds. Her brain was finding it hard to understand what Mikhail was saying until it clicked.

"Hold on... Stone? Your earth monster? It still having Ava? Is she still alive? Damn, how did I forget all about her?" He rubbed her face, groaning.

Mikhail blinked up at his mother, "Do you want her back here?" He asked gently.

"Yes, honey, please. I’d love to have a word with her," She said to him.

"Okay, Moma. She’ll be back in a few minutes. Can I go play with the twins?" He asked.

Audrey shook her head, "it’s late already, sweetheart, you can go tomorrow." She held his hand and let him toward the stairs.

Mikhail wasn’t happy. He slowly followed behind her, his face lowered to the floor.

"Hey," Lake met them halfway up the stairs, noticing the tension between the mother and son.

"Hi, Dad," Mikhail said dully.

Audrey sighed, "Hey, we are just about to go to bed. Excuse us?" She said, narrowing her eyes at him.

She knew he must have heard their discussion and was here to convince her to let Mikhail go to Maria’s.

Lake smiled, "I was just heading to Maria’s, I don’t know if you’d want to accompany Daddy, buddy?" He touched Mikhail’s chin.

Mikhail’s face immediately lit up, "Yes, I’d love to!" He replied, beaming with smiles.

"Great, then let’s go. Coming, Moma?" He winked at Audrey and lifted Mikhail off the floor, carrying him.

"Of course, I’ll come," She replied with narrowed eyes at him.

"Don’t sulk, Moma, you can punish me later tonight for this," Lake said as they walked out of the packhouse.

"Oh!" Audrey stumbled upon a rock and almost fell.

"I got you," Lakeneasily caught her with one hand, kissed her cheek, and let her go.

"Are you okay, Moma?" Mikhail asked.

"She’s fine, just a little excited," Lake replied instead.

Audrey was speechless, following behind the two mske Alphas in a confused state.

Leon was getting uncomfortable. It’s been two hours since he arrived at the club, yet Sandra hasn’t made any move to tell him his next escape plan.

Instead, she was busy trying to get him drink, but he had managed to refuse every single drink she offered him. He knew he needed to stay sharp for his neck move.

He was currently sitting in a quieter corner while Sandra, Alex, and Andrew were at the dance floor, having their nightly fun.

"Hi," a voice said, sliding down beside Leon.

He snapped his head to find Lawrence looking at him.

Lawrence looked like he’s overthinking for a month. His eyes were sunken and dark, face tired and worn out.

"Hi, I didn’t know ow you were here," Leon said, nodding politely.

Lawrence chuckled, "I was here before your arrival. Um, I need your help," he said, clearing his throat.

Leon sighed, "Sandra, right? You want tongetvher alone?" He questioned, smirking.

Lawrence smiled, slowly nodding, "Yes. If I walk up that dance floor, she would definitely cause a scene and cause people to meddle between us. I don’t want that." He explained.

"If you can just get her to cone here, I’ll handle it from there," Lawrence said, glancing at Sandra.

Leon shrugged, "Sure, man. At least I got something to do," He tapped Lawrence’s shoulder and stood, sliding out from the booth.

"Thank you," Lawrence said as Lron walked away.

Leon bit his lip as he slid his body past the twisting and rocking bodies of the people on the dance floor.

"Excuse me, yeah, excuse me," He said as he gently pushed some girls out of his way.

Finally, he got to Sandra.

She was busy sipping her drink and dancing between Alex and Andrew. At that moment, Leon believed she had probably even forgotten that she had a mate.

"Sandra!" Leon had to raise his voice so she could hear him tyebloud music.

Sandra startled and snapped her head to Leon, a sighed leaving her lips.

She slif away from Alex and Andrew and slid an arm over Leon’s shoulder, "Ready to party now?" She asked.

"Umm... Yeah!" He nodded.

He needed to find a way to get her to return to the booth.

"Awesome! Yay!!!" She wanted to drag him toward Alex bit Leon suddenly held her hand, pausing her.

"Huh? What now?" She pouted.

"Um, my drink, I forgot it at the table. Can you help me bring it over? I want to dance so bad right now. Walking back there might change my mind. Please?" He asked.

Sandra chuckled, "Sure! You stay right here and dance!" She poked his shoulder and hurried away toward the booth.

Leon sighed, raising his head to see the whole crowd jumping up and down around him while he just stood there, in the center of the dance floor, standing like a spiral thumb amid the hyper crowd.

He imagined what he would have been doing by now if he hadn’t left his country to go find Audrey, probably working and working. He would never have met Mark.

Mark... he clenched his fists as his heart squeezed painfully at the house of what Mark woukd be feeling at that moment; he must have long realised that Leon was gone and must be desperately looking for him by now.

Leon shut his eyes, raising his hand up to his chest to rub it, hoping it would calm down the pain he felt in there.

"Hey, you! Dance with me. You’ve been standing here forever!" A girl in a pixie curl sashes over to Leon and holds his hand, smiling sexily at him.

Leon felt an instant repulse from that touch. His bidy didn’t want that contact at that moment, but it made him want to scrub his hand under the tap for an hour.

"Oh, I’m sorry, I -"

"I’ve got him," A deep, familiar voice smoothly cut in behind Leon, followed by two strong, warm arms, wrapping around his waist and gently pulling him closer into s strong, firm body.

Now, that was a touch his body recognised and wanted. Leon found himself immediately leaning against the firm body, watching as his hand was gently asking out of the girl’s hands and covered by much larger ones, a warm comfort spreading through his body.

"Oh, Mr. Mark, I didn’t know he was with you," The girl bowed her head and immediately left.

Leon’s heart was pounding louder than the speakers; he felt Mark’s slowly lower his face to the side of his neck, his arms tightening around him.

"I’m hurt, Leon. You’ve hurt me real bad," he whispered, his hot breath fanning the side of Leon’s neck.

Leon gulped and balled his fists that were still wrapped by Mark’s hands. He resisted the heavy urge to shiver as Mark’s breath softly grazed his skin. He should be pushing Mark away from him, not closing his eyes and leaning into his touch like he was shamelessly doing.

So much for trying to escape.

Mark’s voice made guilt pile up in his chest, as if he was actually wrong for trying to go back to his normal life.

Gently, Mark turned Leon around and gazed at his face.

"I searched for you," Mark said, his fingers trailing the side of Leon’s face.

Leon blinked, gulping as he saw the expression on Mark’s face. He wanted to touch Mark’s face, too, tell him he was sorry for doing what he did.

But he didn’t. He simply stared at Mark, licking his dry lips.

They stood there, wrapped in their own bubble and toning out the loud music.

Mark followed the trail of Leon’s lips as he licked his lips; it awakened something within him.

Leon saw Mark’s face getting closer, but he didn’t try to move back. He stood steady, holding Mark’s gaze, his head unconsciously tilted up in anticipation.

Leon knew what was about to happen, and curiosity got the best of him. He wanted to know how it would feel to kiss a man, to kiss Mark, Alex and Andrew seemed to have enjoyed their kiss.

Mark’s face was just an inch away from Leon’s, and Leon’s eyes fluttered closed, heart racing.

"Let’s talk somewhere quiet," Mark whispered over Leon’s lips and leaned away but not releasing Leon’s hand.

Leon opened his eyes as he felt Mark gently tugging him away from the dance floor. He followed quietly, not sure why he was feeling disappointed.

He followed Mark until they were completely out of the noise and toward a staircase.

Quietly, he flooded him up the stairs to the top, walking toward a door.

Mark easily opened the door and led Leon inside.

The door closes behind Leon, and the lights come on to reveal a neat office with a long, white sofa in the corner.

He wondered why Mark had brought him to an office. Did he know the owner of the club? Was that why easily walked inside the office?

However, he still didn’t speak, that feeling of disappointment hadn’t left him.

Mark faced Leon, finally releasing his hand, "Hey," He started, quietly clearing his throat.

Leon frowned at him, not speaking.

Mark moved closer, "You know, I’m trying to be reasonable here and not overreact. You promised to stay with me for a month, but the moment I turn my back, you’re making escape plans with someone? Have you ever stopped and thought of how I’m feeling?" He questioned calmly, sighing.

He stared at Leon, feeling lost with the silent treatment.

Leon’s forehead was creased, his head loud with amby thoughts, but one was more prominent, and surprisingly, he wanted to listen to that voice.

Mark clenched his fists in frustration, "You gave me your word, Leon. At least you could have waited until the end of the month to leave. Is that how bad you want to leave me? Am I really someone you can never be with?" He held Leon’s hand and drew him close.

"You’re annoying me right now, Sweetheart. If you don’t speak, I’ll have to kids those words out of your lips," Mark’s voice dropped lower as he threatened Leon with a kiss.

His hands on Leon’s waist were firm but gentle, his eyes darkening with a dangerous purpose as he saw the defiant look on Leon’s face.

Mark suddenly chuckled, "Hold on a minute." he pushed Leon’s body forward and pressed it against his, feeling the way Leon trembled as their bodies pressed against each other.

Leon balled his fists to keep them from holding Mark. That voice in his head was still very loud and clear, but he was just too embarrassed to do what it was asking him to do.

Mark placed a hand under Leon’s chin, "You want me to kiss you." He stated, a smirk playing on his lips as he stared deep into Leon’s eyes.

Leon’s eyes automatically fell to Mark’s lips, licking his lips as he stared at the perfect powerfully defined, crimson lips.

"You’re crazy..." Leon’s shaky voice said, eyes still locked on Mark’s lips.

Mark couldn’t stop smirking as he pulled Leon over to the sofa, "Have I ever told you that I love your strong French accent? It drives me crazy. Sit." He whispered into Leon’s ear before sucking his earlobe into his mouth, nibbling the tender, sensitive flesh between his teeth.

Leon felt a sweet seizure shake his body as Mark’s tongue teased his earlobe, his teeth gently biting him like a chew toy, sucking him like some candy.

His pulse was all over the place, his knees feeling like fluid; Mark was making him feel things he never imagined were possible to feel.

Mark was breathing heavily when he realised that Leon wasn’t resisting him. His control was about to snap. Leon might not have saud anything, but his silence was loaded with a heavy sex appeal that made Mark want to do dome evil things to him.

Mark suddenly felt Leon’s hand on his chest, gently pushing him away. Painstakingly, he leaned away from Leon, controlling his breathing as he gazed at Leon’s handsome face.

"You don’t like it?" Mark asked, caressing Leon’s face.

He saw how flushed Kein was and thought it was cute and hot. He wanted to do more things that would turn him even redder.

"I..." Leon paused, his eyes falling on Mark’s lips again.

"Fuck... Leon, you do want me to kiss you, I though you were -" his words were silenced by Leon’s lips pressing against his.

His world paused, heart stopped, senses shut down.

Leon’s lips were unsure, exploring gently as if he was scared to fully kiss Mark. He slowly moulded his lips against Mark’s, his limbs trembling with an urgency he couldn’t understand.

Mark didn’t kiss him back, and that made him feel stupid and unwanted. He thought this was what Mark wanted to do down at the dance floor, why wad t he kissing him back now?

Slowly, he pulled away, looking away from a frozen Mark, "Just leave me alone. I was trying to see how it felt to miss a guy, don’t ger it twisted," He said, exonerated his actions.

"And? Did you like it?" Mark questioned huskily, hips pressing harder against Leon’s to meet him and feel the result of his action.

Leon’s eyes widened in realisation, and he was no different from Mark. His breath hitched, his pants chaffed so gently against his arousal, embarrassing and exciting him all at once.

"I didn’t like it," he hurriedly answered.

Mark muttered something under his breath and snaked his hand behind Leon’s neck, "Then, let’s try that again." He whispered breathlessly and slammed his lips on Leon’s.

Leon gasped and held onto Mark’s chest as Mark kissed him with nothing but raw, unbridled hunger.

Slowly, his eyes fluttered shut, and he started to kiss back.

Mark groaned as he felt Leon’s lips reciprocating his kiss. He wasn’t thinking straight and did the only thing that felt right.

He pushed his tongue passed Leon’s lips and I to his mouth, rolling it around with Leon’s as his hand went beneath Leon’s shirt, lifting it off his body.

"Hands up, Leon," Mark commanded in a low growl.

Surprisingly, Leon obeyed.

Mark cursed under his breath as he pulled the shirt off Leon’s body, heating washing all over his body.

He buried his face on Leon’s heated neck and sniffed in, "You’re giving me a high fever, Leon. Please, tell me you’re not messing with me, I’m not stopping the moment you let me pull off your waist," he murmured.

Leon sighed, raising his shaky hands to Mark’s face, "Do you have a condom?" He whispered, eyes sparkling with a strange mischief.
