HDXD: Omni Harem System-Chapter 150: Overpowered
Chapter 150: Overpowered
Screams from below the city echoed as sirens wailed in the distance.
Weyooweeyoo...
"Oh my God, the Van Hellsing Hotel just went up in flames!"
"Was it a gas leak or something?"
"Ahhh... My mom’s up there on the 149th floor! Oh God, oh God... Move, move... get out of the way!"
Panic spread rapidly, especially among those nearby, as a massive fire raged on the top floor.
A thick cloud of black smoke poured from the building, devouring the structure above as it burned.
Meanwhile, Adam hovered at the center of the chaos, suspended in the air above the blazing fire.
He looked down upon the destruction, the havoc he had unleashed.
The flames consumed the surrounding oxygen, growing fiercer by the second.
But then, through the thick smoke, Adam noticed a shadow... the outline of a familiar figure slowly emerging.
The fire raged around them, yet seemed to have no effect, leaving them utterly untouched, as if the flames themselves dared not harm them.
The sharp click of heels striking the scorched floor echoed through the burning air.
Priscilla stepped through the smoke, approaching the edge of the burning floor. Her gaze lifted to meet Adam’s.
Her face was calm, expressionless even, yet somehow surprised.
"How did you know what I was going to do?"
She asked, her voice soft but edged with disbelief.
Then, with a quiet breath and closed eyes, she added:
"No matter."
"...Let’s not do this, Adam.... You need to sleep, so I can prepare for that bitch. That thing could come for you at any moment. If I can’t protect you... then what was the point of being your big sister in the first place?"
Priscilla spoke, letting a bit of her emotion slip through.
She was, at her core, a classic tsundere with hints of oujodere elegance.
Proud, poised, and emotionally guarded... until something or someone she loved was in danger.
Adam noticed it instantly.
’Even now... your personality is still exactly like it was in the original game.’
In the Crimson Throne visual novel, extreme loyalty was Priscilla’s most defining trait.
Max out her romance route, and you didn’t just gain a powerful lover, you gained a force of nature.
She wouldn’t ask why.
Only when and where.
Priscilla would gladly burn an entire continent to the ground if it meant protecting the one she loved.
In simple terms, she was a ride or die.
That was the legacy of the Second Ancestor of the Vampires in the original game’s lore.
But this wasn’t the game.
This Priscilla standing before Adam... even in her base form, could likely solo her entire game world including her canon self. freewebnøvel.coɱ
Yet Adam had lived beside her for years.
He knew this version of her wasn’t just stronger, she was deeper.
More mature.
More serious.
And, strangely... more lonely than the Priscilla he had fallen in love with through a screen.
This Priscilla had real people, real family by her side, and yet her loneliness was more prominent that cannon.
But his Priscilla?
She wasn’t a character anymore.
She was real.
A person of flesh and blood, of laughter and sorrow, and not some mere sheet of codes.
A woman he had lived with for five years.
A sister.
A protector.
A force of terrifying power, and infinite heart.
And someone who he as person deeply admired, a desired to one day surpass and impressed, and even add to his harem.
And no matter how strong or canon-breaking she became... Adam knew who she really was.
She’s not just a version of the character I once loved...
’She is my Priscilla... Sigh! Sadly however, my Priscilla when her mind is set on something it’s a pain in the ass to convince her otherwise.’
He mentally said to himself.
This was going to be a serious one sided fight he knew this.
As such talk-no-jutsu was his only hope.
For that reason Adam remained silent for a moment.
Then, a quiet reply escaped his lips.
He had to say something to convince her.
"Big sis... I don’t know what you saw when you drank my blood."
Adam started off the conversation like this.
Then he continued.
"But sealing me won’t save me at all, it’ll only doom us all. I can’t fully explain it, but if you trap me in your Blood Prison... the future becomes a nightmare. Believe it or not, I saw it with my own eyes. You died. Everyone did too just trying to protect me. And I was left alone, imprisoned for all eternity. How is that saving anyone? How is that considered saving me."
"You basically condemned me to a fate worse than death, forever alone, curse to live till the end of time, if their is truly an end to be had."
Priscilla’s eyes widened at Adam words.
She stared at him, now in his Spirit Awakening form.
In this state, physical attacks would be useless, he was basically humanoid spirit. Or a high spirit, a spirit king a being of pure element in the elemental spirit heirachy of spiritual evolution.
Only magic could harm him now in this state.
But Priscilla didn’t want to hurt him. She couldn’t. Still, a questions gnawed at her.
’Those eyes again... How did he know I planned to trap and seal him inside my blood?’
’No...he said it himself. He saw it. He saw the future where I seal him away... and everyone dies. And he is left alone in my prison. Forever...it makes sense since blood prison will remain active even in my death, trapping anyone inside. Still he never knew Adam can see the future...why does he keep hiding stuff like this from us...
It was horrifying.
Then, it hit her.
Priscilla could not live with the fact, that maybe Adam did not know how to approach the situation and explain himself, or maybe he just wants to keep one or two trump cards to himself.
As such, she convince herself this was not the case.
No, in her delusions it was worse than that. It was damning.
And then it hit her.
She remembered what she had seen during within The Bleeding, a yong Adam with no eyes. And the spirit of the Void had given him a new pair.
Just thinking about that wretched being made her blood boil.
Anger surged within her, a deep red aura leaking from her body as she misread the truth.
"That bitch... she is filling your head with lies and illusions, isn’t she?"
Her voice cracked with fury and desperation, as she looked at a confused Adam.
"Adam, just stop. Stop fighting me and let me save you. I’m older than you. I’m stronger than you. I know what’s best for you. So stop resisting... and let me do what I mu...
But before Priscilla could even finish her sentence, the world fell silent.
Time stopped.
And it stopped at a wide range.
As the entire universe froze in place. Everything turned a shade of gray, like color of existence had faded from the world itself.
Leaving the world around them like a uncolored manga panel.
And it wasn’t just this universe either, No! It was countless others that came to a halt.
Even higher-dimensional realms trembled under the same effect.
In simpler terms: a massive portion of the Human World, and higher metaphysical space time beyond traditional mathematical dimensionality within the Supernatural Void all came to freezing point.
As a lot of structures in the Astrum Field where being affected, as the fundamental concept of time and space itself had been forcefully paused by an unknown force.
Adam glanced around, stunned.
The atmosphere shifted.
A familiar and terrifying presence made itself known.
And soon Adam heard the Systems voice in his head. Sending him a series of unexpected warnings.
『Warning: Due to unprecedented cosmic events, higher beings unaffected by the Universal Time Stop are observing...both in fear and fascination』
『Chronus watches in confusion from the Celestial World』
『Odin watches with curiosity from the Celestial World』
『The Mother of the Dark Ones has taken a deep interest in you』
『The Demonic Cultivator Shen Li has intruded upon this universe, he has taken interest in your love intrest Priscilla』
『The Divine Spirit of Gossip watches in amusement』
『Medea laughs from the In-Between: "Spreading drama on this scale is bound to birth... interesting promises." She says』
『252 Higher Beings across the different Multiverse’s have become aware of your existence』
These where all the messages from the System and it shook him.
But Adam didn’t even get the chance to react properly too them, not because of fear, but because they all backed off.
As a single voice cut through the frozen silence, sharp and venomous.
"Interfering mongrels begone. Mind your damn business, will ya?"
At those words, most of the cosmic onlookers vanished, their presence snuffed out like candles in a storm.
And from out of nowhere she teleported here before Adam and Priscilla, walking on air like it was solid ground.
Her presence split the distance between Adam and Priscilla effortlessly. Her sharp eyes flicked over Adam’s Spirit Awakening form with visible confusion, and hidden pride.
She wanted to ask how the hell he had achieved something that had taken her years to master.
But now wasn’t the time.
Arms crossed, jaw tight, she snapped:
"What the hell is going on with you two? Do you even realize where we are right now?"
Her tone was harsh, and rightfully so.
"Seven Royal Guards were on their way because of your massive Astrum surge, Adam. And you, Priscilla, your bloodlust is scaring the humans. If I hadn’t used this lore ability of mime we would have being in position where violence is the only way out of the conflict."
Adam looked down at the furious woman.
It was none other than Minerva.
Thank the stars he had saved at least ten times before this, in case he hit another dead end.
She exhaled hard, pinching the bridge of her nose.
"Ugh. We’re taking this crap somewhere else."
With a flick of her hand, reality warped.
Space distorted violently as Adam and Priscilla were enveloped in her power.
Then...
They spaghettified, pulled through split in her chest, vanishing between the folds of Minerva’s large boobs, disappearing into her personal dimension.
Time resumed as if nothing had ever happened.
And the world moved forward once more.
