Heart Over Sword-Chapter 326: Vengeance tastes so Sweet (3)
Chapter 326: Vengeance tastes so Sweet (3)
Killian held the chambermaid to his body, blouse open revealing perky breasts, skirts lifted high as he slammed into her from behind, lips caressing the side of her throat. He was tempted to bite her throat, but it would finish what had begun as quite an interesting evening. He wasn’t done yet, and after promising never to return to this place, to a witch he’d met for less than an hour and wanted to protect, he needed to vent his restlessness.
He had no intention of taking Suzie to bed, but it was a nice distraction, especially when he thought about never returning to this shabby place.
"My lord?" Suzie breathed, turning her head slightly. The mirror in front of them revealed his lack of attention on the beauty taking him so well. She really was a sight. One leg raised, the skirts held to her waist, revealing her silky pink flesh between her thighs and his length sliding in and out of her, thighs becoming wet.
Killian squeezed her breast and forced his focus to return to the chambermaid and not the woman he made a promise to. "You know, Suzie. You are quite a beauty. Why ever are you working here?" He dipped his face down, kissing the top of her chest before flipping her so she faced him and was beneath him on the bed in a blur.
His hair created a small curtain around them, his eyes luminous in the darkened setting of the candlelit room. The drapes falling from the four-poster bed provided more privacy, yet their movements could still be seen through shadows. The squeaking sound of the bed alerted the others in the manor to their activities. Suzie’s moans already had, but most of the house’s occupants had moved further from the room. Killian could hear Brenda and Bree discussing their ’disgusting chambermaid’ that gave her body to a monster.
All he could hear was their jealousy, though. He didn’t suspect it was him. They were jealous because of Suzie’s freedom of being a ’commoner’ and able to sleep with whoever she wanted. Times hadn’t changed much in the human realm it seems.
"I need money," Suzie replied through some of her moans as he continued to thrust into her quick and hard without breaking a sweat.
"Hmmm, what for?" Killian asked, lifting her legs to rest against his shoulders, fangs glinting as he scratched the skin of her inner thigh slightly. Suzie gasped in surprise at the rush of sudden pleasure caused by his fangs. "If all ends well here, you can come with me. If you want."
Suzie’s eyes widened before her lips parted into an ’o’ to the slow yet deep tempo he created. Killian didn’t really need someone else to look after, but a source of food and pleasure along his journey wasn’t a bad idea.
"Do you mean it?" She gasped. Killian could read her mind, and how much she worried his words were just that, words whilst being lost in passion.
"Yes, now, I hope you don’t mind, I need to finish. Who we’ve been waiting for has just arrived." Killian thrust a few more times, sank his fangs into Suzie’s thigh, and released his load just as the earth rumbled and the air became cold.
Suzie gazed up at him in a daze. She looked unravelled, beautiful on top of his bed, but she needed to leave as well. "Out now," Killian urged, kissing her hand gently to lessen the sting of his voice. novelbuddy-cσ๓
Suzie scrambled to cover her chest and run from the room. Killian, on the other hand, took his time, tugging up his breeches and wiping the corner of his mouth whilst focusing on the witches that had just arrived. The knocker on the door resounded in the vast manor, creating an eeriness the longer it remained unanswered. Killian kept a keen ear as his lips tugged on the side, buttoning his shirt as one of the Benett witches greeted them.
"Where is it?" One asked sternly.
"Upstairs. He has been... preoccupied."
"Ah, you girl. You look well-ridden... A vampire, perhaps?" The first voice asked with a sneer. "You enjoyed his disgusting form?"
"There is nothing disgusting about him," Suzie murmured, but her voice was low, and they did not hear her.
"What was that?!"
"N-nothing!"
They were still incredibly arrogant, Killian mused. Though their power has shrunk incredibly. How can they call themselves Salim still?
"Bree, Brenda... We cannot help them. We should leave these powerful Salim witches to do their job," Cici spoke softly next.
Yes, get out of here. All of you.
"Leave. We cannot afford any hostages used against us," the first Salim witch ordered.
"I honestly do not care about their lives. If they get in the way, then so be it," another witch, one that sounded bored, said next.
Killian clicked his neck, staring at his reflection in the mirror before, eyes a vibrant red, glowing in irritation at the witch’s voices.
"This house needs renovating anyway," another witch added in a dull voice, scoffing at the manor.
"What was that?!" Cici exclaimed, but from the sounds of shuffling feet and the elder sisters telling her to let it go, it was clear the youngest was being dragged away.
"Little firecracker," Killian murmured with a chuckle, glad to hear the doors close behind them. He walked to the window, staring at the scenery. Even without the moonlight, Killian could see everything almost as clear as day. But the darkness was nicer on his skin.
"You can hear us, can’t you, monster?"
Am I the monster or them? Killian pondered, watching the Benett sisters rush to a horse and carriage. Cici closed the door behind her and stared out the window until her eyes locked with his. She did not shrink back or look away until the carriage turned away. The moment it did, Killian unlatched the window and jumped out of it, landing elegantly on the grass.
He started to prowl after them, allowing his senses of hunting his prey to heighten as he snuck swiftly to the side, the speed causing his hair to whip back. He only stopped upon feeling the sudden charge of magic and a small explosion erupt on the stairs. Four hearts had been beating, and now there were only three.
Killian wasn’t sure about their numbers and presumed there were four Salim witches. So, who did they just kill?
"Are you sure it’s here?" One of them whispered as another seemed to approach from where the explosion happened, brushing down their clothing.
"Its playing with us," the first replied, sounding confident.
"I know we read about this thing and knew to be wary of vampires and the possibility of him escaping... But maybe we shouldn’t have come?"
"What?" The first witch snapped. "And let him roam the world?"
"Don’t you think he wants vengeance after what our people did to him?"
"That’s why we end him once and for all. Dirty thing," The first spat and the other one following behind them agreed.
In a single second, Killian entered the manor again, allowing the door to swing shut.
"He’s escaped!" The one growing more anxious, her heart pounding louder than the others, began turning on the stairs, clutching the bannister, and dashing towards the door.
"Stop!" The first one shouted, forcing the other to pause on the landing. "Why would he leave?! Think for once!"
Killian watched from the side as the last light in the house went out.
"Can I leave?" The worried witch on the landing muttered, her lower lip trembling.
From this distance, Killian could see what that one looked like. As he suspected, they were older than Cici and her sisters, who all looked similar in age. This witch had to be in her thirties at the latest.
What made the vampire’s fangs ache, though, was how she looked the spitting image of her ancestor the night they defeated him. Like with these three, there seemed to be the worrier, the leader and the cold-hearted. They were all cold-hearted. As was he.
Killian flicked his wrist, causing the upstairs window he leapt out of to slam shut. The two witches on the second floor quickened their pace.
"Come out! Why are you playing with us?!" The leader screeched, following the path to the guest room he had been staying in.
"Because it is fun," Killian replied in a sing-song voice that reached their minds instead of their ears. The one on the landing inhaled sharply, slowly turning around with her hand rising with a small burst of green flames.
Killian’s figure made her scream from the sudden green glow, revealing him a few feet in front of her.
"Dee?!" The sisters above called for her.
"Down here!" She screamed frantically before casting her magic on the vampire.
Killian dodged it and, in one swoop, ripped her hand off, the bone-crunching flesh slipping away. Dee screamed again, this time in agony, as she stared at the blood spurting from her wrist. Flames erupted behind Killian, who smiled at her chillingly before punching through her ribcage and squishing her heart in his hand.
The cry died on her lips as the last thing she saw was Killian staring at her emotionless. The vampire held no sympathy for her. As she collapsed to the ground, staring wide-eyed, all he could see were the deaths of his people.
Slowly, he looked up at the sound of approaching footsteps, but before he saw the Salim witches, his gaze landed on the chambermaid he offered to take away from the manor. Suzie lay crumpled on the stairs, back propped against the cracked wall, soot surrounding her, face barely recognisable now. Killian tilted his head to the side. Of course, they wouldn’t let a human be free if she showed no antagonism towards a creature like him.
