Heaven Refining physique-Chapter 233: The Calm Before Ruin
"Ancestor, should we search the villages once again? I have a feeling we missed some of the hidden villages," a middle-aged man spoke to an old man sitting on the main seat inside the hall.
Although the old man had white hair, he had very few wrinkles on his face. He was sitting upright and looked younger than even the middle-aged man.
The old man thought for a single breath and nodded, "Alright, do it more thoroughly this time. If we can find them, then our position in the Central Region will rise unprecedentedly. We can easily get a better location for our clan."
"Indeed, not to mention we would get protection from Azure Sky Sect and Ethereal Cloud Sanctuary. They might even take us as a branch clan," another elder spoke enthusiastically.
"Stop daydreaming. Go and find them. We can't lose to anyone else when we are the biggest power in this area," a woman who was also an elder spoke. She looked younger than most. She had another identity—sister of the Ancestor.
...
Jiang Hao, after walking for a few days, arrived at a naturally formed valley between two mountains.
The valley was very lush and green. There were a few pavilions visible to him from the mountain top he was standing on right now.
This was the Lu Clan, and they were the strongest clan in this region because their ancestor was an Early Stage Heavenly King Realm cultivator.
Jiang Hao had seen the members of this clan in the city, and they were thoroughly searching for him and his other companions. Not to mention, they were quite energetic about it.
It was obvious that they weren't doing it against their will, well even if they were, it wouldn't have mattered. To him, an enemy was an enemy, he didn't care for their circumstances.
If he wanted, he could level this whole valley with a few Annihilation Zones, but although he didn't consider himself a saint, he wasn't a devil either.
He didn't want to kill those who were truly innocent. Although, what he was about to do might seal the fate of this whole clan.
A big clan like this must have its fair share of enemies. If the information about the death of the top cultivators of this clan spread, then it wouldn't be long before it was conquered by someone else, and they wouldn't mind spilling innocent blood.
This might be a consequence of his actions, but he wasn't going to worry about something like that.
If the leftover clan members of this clan were wise, then they would run away. If not, then it was their own decision which would kill them.
Just as he was thinking about this, two cultivators flew up from the valley, and both were in the Mid Stage of Void Reversion Realm.
In the Eastern Region, Void Reversion Realm cultivators were revered, but in the Central Region they were common.
They seemed like elders of this clan. They were about to pass the mountain he was standing on.
He immediately removed his Nirvana's Veil, and they both immediately felt his presence inside their spirit sense.
"What the, how did he appear out of nowhere?" one of them asked, bewildered.
The other one was also totally confused, "An Early Stage Void Reversion Realm cultivator? What the hell is he doing in our territory without announcing his presence?"
"Let's capture him, we will get all the answers."
"Alright."
They both immediately swooped down in front of Jiang Hao and frowned, looking at his mask.
"Identify yourself, or you will be considered an intruder and will be eliminated," one of the elders spoke.
Jiang Hao nodded. He put his hand on the mask and removed it. "I am Jiang Hao, the person you were searching for so badly." His tone was calm, as if he had come here to submit himself to them.
The eyes of both elders widened to the extreme, and suddenly they began trembling. What happened in Tidewind City was already a well-known fact.
The estimated age of Jiang Hao was also very well-known. It was about thirty years.
A thirty-year-old Void Reversion Realm cultivator was never heard of, and there might never be one in the future either.
The most terrifying aspect was the strength of Jiang Hao. It was said that if you were in the same realm as him, then you were dead—it wouldn't matter if you were at the peak of your realm and he was at his early stage.
There was only one thought dominant in their minds right now—it was to run, but they knew it was impossible. They just hoped that their ancestor had opened his spirit sense and seen what was happening here.
But if that was the case, then their ancestor would have already arrived by now. One of them gritted his teeth lightly and decided to scream,
"A—"
The moment he opened his mouth, a small black sphere struck his face. It was too fast, his eyes weren't even able to perceive it, and once the sphere expanded, he disappeared.
The other elder was aghast, he could already see his own demise. "F-friend Jia—"
Jiang Hao wasn't interested in listening to anything. He was here for one and only one goal—to leave a message for the whole Central Region.
It was simple. If you decided to submit to your fears and follow the command of Azure Sky Sect or Ethereal Cloud Sanctuary, then you were overlooking another person—it was him.
You might save yourself from utter annihilation from these two sects, but who would save you from him?
It was quite ironic though, no matter what decision these powers made, it would result in annihilation—either from him or from those two sects.
Jiang Hao started slowly walking toward the valley as the sphere engulfed the other cultivator. The only person he had to be cautious of was the ancestor of this clan, as he was a Heavenly King Realm cultivator.
As long as he didn't come out, Jiang Hao could freely roam through the whole clan.
