Hell's Actor-Chapter 91: Flamboyant Modeling
Chapter 91: Flamboyant Modeling
Averie was no bigot.
He liked gay guys. He even considered himself a lover of gay guys.
After every round of PvP in mobile games, to show his appreciation for the opponent, he would leave ’love gg’ in the chat room.
GG for Gay Guys.
Love Gay Guys.
"One is an actor in his forties," Yoko continued, "and the other is a college student. He is barely legal."
Averie silently shook his head.
’That just feels wrong.’
"So, they meet at a coffee shop where the younger guy works part-time."
"Of course, how original."
She continued her story, and every single word made Averie shiver.
"The actor is the dominant, sadistic top. And the college student is the submissive, innocent, new-to-all-this bottom."
’Is she sick in the head?’
He had never expected to hear something like that at a fashion show.
"So, you created this story yourself?"
"Yes."
"It’s a fanfic, right—"
"It’s a fanfic, yes," she shamefully admitted.
"You seriously made your fanfic part of a fashion show and convinced my stylist to put me in it?"
His eyes turned to Min-Ha.
"You knew, didn’t you?"
Min-Ha cowered.
"Again, you left it entirely to me."
"Yeah, I’m the idiot."
He made a mental note to never leave any important tasks to her.
"You want me to make it seem like I came out of your fantasy?"
"Yes," Yoko said with some hesitation.
"Fine."
’I’ll be your fantasy.’
"Wait, is that red lipstick for me?"
"Yes, it’s part of the getup."
Averie convinced himself that nothing was wrong with it. That is how he shackled his sanity from escaping.
"Where is my submissive college boy?"
He couldn’t believe the words that were coming out of his mouth.
"Right here, in front of me."
"I’m sorry?"
He looked around. There was no one else around.
"Me?"
"Yes."
Averie was speechless. While spending half a century in Hell, not once did he imagine himself acting like someone’s little bitch.
Violence ran in his veins, and this role was in complete contrast with his nature.
"Aren’t I the dominant one?"
"Yes."
’What the hell? Am I stupid, or is she drunk?’
"You’ll be playing both roles. You’ll go twice on the ramp."
Averie’s eyes narrowed. It was getting interesting.
"We’ll fix your makeup and all that quickly once you return from your first walk."
"Like a play?"
"I guess."
Averie was getting excited. That was more like a proper performance.
He forgave Min-Ha and even thought about gifting her something nice.
"Alright, let’s do it well."
’Sexuality is my middle name. I can be whatever you want me to be.’
He knew no one else could pull this off but him.
"Tell me more about these gay guys."
Yoko handed him her notes on them while lipstick was lightly applied to his lips.
The pages contained their likes, dislikes, hobbies, family members, and past lovers.
"So, the young guy was straight before his encounter with this actor?"
"Yes, he broke up with his girlfriend after our actor convinced and slept with him."
"Just yes or no would suffice, thank you."
’So, he is like a boy toy?’
Before long, Averie’s makeup was done, and he changed into his clothes.
Before stepping out of the changing room, he closed his eyes and envisioned his version of the dominant actor in his forties.
He was beautiful, charming, and bold enough to attract a straight man. But to actively chase someone half his age, Averie believed he must not want an equal dynamic in a relationship.
’Power dynamic means a need to assert control and dominance.’
Convincing an impressionable, straight young man into a sexual relationship wasn’t something a morally exemplary man would do.
’He hides his preferences and presents himself as a straight man, but not without a hint of flamboyant glamour.’
When he opened his eyes and stepped out of the room.
The faces that greeted him were shocked. Their jaws slackened, and their pupils dilated.
Averie knew it was the biggest transformation he had undergone since becoming Averie Quinn Auclair.
"I thought you had gone mad, Yoko," Shauna whispered. "But this—"
She admired Averie head to toe.
"This is your best work yet."
What Averie had on was not that big of a deal. He wore silk pants and something between a tuxedo suit and a bathrobe.
The clothing looked light, but underneath the top, there was nothing else. There was no vest, no undershirt, and no shirt. It was neither like a party attire nor like a formal one, but it provided elegance and coziness.
His neck was decorated with a trio of thin gold chains. Gold earrings too large for men adorned his ears.
The contrast between black attire, warm skin tone, glossy red lips, gold jewelry, and a cascade of auburn hair gave him a special feel.
The theme of Glamorous Warmth precisely encapsulated him.
But there was something in his eyes that Ilya couldn’t help but notice.
It looked like he was looking through the person in front of him, as if half of his consciousness was not present.
He was speaking with them, but he was hiding something behind the façade. His attention was elsewhere.
"Who is he?" Ilya muttered.
She hadn’t been to Asia in a long time, so she knew absolutely nothing about BSPH. But even then, she could recognize the talent in front of her.
’He is moving his neck less than before.’
She could grasp the little changes in his body language.
’It’s like he is a completely different person.’
But such a drastic change out of nowhere was something only the older actors could do. Ability aside, it required self-assurance that someone as young as Averie did not possess.
No matter how she looked at it, he did not seem like a twenty-something actor. frёeweɓηovel_coɱ
She turned her attention to Hyerin.
’Is she his agent?’
The girl was touching his hair and lamenting how she couldn’t have it.
’Let’s have a chat later.’
At that time, someone rapped on the door.
It was time for the show to begin.
While Yoko, Hyerin, and Min-Ha did some breathing exercises to calm themselves, Averie casually walked out of the room.
As he made his way towards the models lining up behind the ramp, he heard the announcer’s quiet voice.
"...we shall now begin."
’Easy does it,’ Averie thought. ’No need to be overly expressive.’
***
Peter Kang was resting in his chair around the ramp.
’Life is good,’ he thought.
The recent drama was a huge success. Even overseas, people now knew him. He wasn’t just another B-lister.
People hated Leviathan as much as they loved his actor.
Averie’s recent shenanigans had put him in a tough spot, but that was over now.
’Finally, time to see what weird costume he comes out in.’
Fashion shows were known for displaying bizarre outfits.
Peter was ready with his phone. He was going to capture Averie’s photos and post them online. Revenge would taste sweet, he knew.
"He is nearly a decade younger than you," Raymond Lee said. "Have some shame."
"Wow, Averie can do no wrong, huh? You should be careful about how you treat him. Early success can ruin someone."
"What’s left of him that’s not already ruined?"
Peter had no answer to that.
At that moment, the fashion show began.
One after another, models walked onto the ramp, did a turn at the end, and disappeared from where they came.
"They have good selections this year," Peter Kang said.
Do-Yun Park laughed. "As if you understand anything about it."
But Peter was not about to accept the taunt. He was here to hate on his young friend.
’Anytime now.’
Just then, the last model left, and the next entered.
That hair color was familiar to Peter. He clutched his phone and raised it, but stopped just as Averie walked out.
He could not believe his eyes.
’Look what they did to my boy...’
The rest of the cast, too, watched in half-confusion, half-admiration.
The man’s walk was smooth and sensuous. Each of his steps seemed to last longer than the previous model’s, as if time itself wanted him to last longer at the top.
His facial features were sharper. His eyes were glazed, and his eyelids were slightly closed.
He looked older and more mature than before. His subtle, mysterious smile seemed difficult to understand.
Just his presence seemed to tease the people gathered.
Peter cursed internally. There was no revenge for him on that day.
Whatever Averie was doing, it was surprisingly not embarrassing.
"How is he pulling that off?"
The flashes erupted as Averie reached the edge of the ramp. He ran a hand through his cascade of hair and placed another on his waist. He posed confidently but flamboyantly.
This wasn’t the first time he had posed so gayly. In fact, at the height of his popularity as Gene Conti, he had done plenty of sensuous photoshoots.
With a final look at the front seats where his co-stars had gathered, he walked off stage.
His catwalk took only a few seconds longer than others, but it felt like minutes more had passed.
"No revenge for you, I guess," John Strom muttered, consoling a disappointed Peter.
It was a successful debut for Averie Quinn Auclair in the world of modeling.
