Help! My Male Employees Are Having Babies!-Chapter 96: Milk It for All It’s Worth
Chapter 96: Milk It for All It’s Worth
The next morning Zack received a call from his grandson Daniel.
"Grandfather, do you have any plans to come to the hospital today in the city?"
"Just try to keep me away; yes, I’m coming. I’ll be leaving here in about 30 minutes. Is there something I can bring the two of you?"
"You can bring granddad," Daniel said. "He has yet to see his two great-grandsons."
"Okay Daniel, I will bring Ben with me; he could use a break right about now. It’s been a rough couple of days. We will see you when we arrive. Is the young couple still there? Was a little girl Allison."
"Yes, grandfather, they are, and Allison I am glad to report is improving. That might be some of the reason I would like to see you and granddad. And if you can locate Mr. Ed Hawthorne, he might want to be a part of this also, so we’ll see you when you get here. Love you."
Daniel looked at Hyden and smiled. "Phase 1 is completed."
Daniel went looking for Leo and found him nursing on the cup of coffee in the dining room.
"Hey my friend, how’s it going today?"
"Allison is doing great thanks to you and Hyden. Emma is also doing better because of that, but that’s where things go downhill after that." Leo’s voice grew heavy. "I lost my job. I knew that was going to happen—I was late getting the money back to the manager and we lost our apartment and all of her possessions. How can I tell my wife that we have no place to live when Allison comes home? She has no home. We’ll be living on the streets and social services will take Allison into their custody."
"Fear not my friend, for I have something working behind the scenes. It’s not a sure thing, but I’m very confident that everything will work out the way that it should and it will be best for everyone." Daniel paused thoughtfully. "Leo, do you want to live in the city all of your life?"
"No Daniel, I don’t. I don’t want my daughter growing up in this mess. Poverty, hunger and crime are running rampant here. It’s not a place for a good child to grow up—hell, it’s not a place for any child to grow up. A child needs freedom, and a simpler life." Leo’s eyes took on a distant look. "I envy you, Hyden and your boys. You really have the dream life."
Daniel smiled. "And that dream can become someone else’s dream very easily. Just give me time."
The two men sat there drinking their coffee, making chitchat. Emma walked up behind her husband, leaned over and kissed his cheek.
"Leo Rich, have I told you lately how much I love you?"
Leo laid his hand on his wife’s and patted it. "And I love you so much also, my wife. As long as we’re together, standing side-by-side, we can get through anything."
"Yes, we can. Do you have an extra dollar for a cup of coffee?"
Daniel reached in his pocket and pulled out a five-dollar bill, handing it to Emma. "That should get you a cup of coffee and maybe a sweet roll."
Emma blushed and thanked Daniel for his generosity. "We owe you so much. We will never be able to repay you or Hyden for what you have done." fгeewebnovёl.com
"That’s what friends do," Daniel responded. "We help out each other in hard times, and I think of you and Leo as our friends."
Leo smiled and told Daniel thank you after Emma left. "She hasn’t had a sweet roll in a while with their coffee because we just couldn’t afford it."
Daniel hadn’t realized that they’d been here so long until he saw his grandfather Zack and granddad Ben walking up.
"So, this is where you keep yourself when you’re not upstairs in the waiting room—here with coffee and good friends."
Daniel smiled. "Only the best of friends and great coffee." He stood up and hugged Zack and Ben, thanking them for showing up. "Leo, I’ve got a little bit of business to attend to. Will you be all right here by yourself?"
Leo chuckled. "I’m a big boy. I think I can handle another cup of coffee, then I’ll go back upstairs with Emma and wait for our next visit with Allison."
Daniel walked away followed by his grandfather and granddad. They walked into a meditation garden area at the hospital so they could have a private conversation.
"I want to start out by telling the two of you how much I love and appreciate you being my grandparents."
"Before you start up, I need to get this out," Daniel continued, his voice growing serious. "Hyden and I might have really screwed up big time, but we would do it all again. We would not change one bit of our actions."
Zack looked at his grandson. "Okay Daniel, what have you and Hyden done that you think you have to apologize for? Let us be the judge."
"Leo and Emma are the other parents with a child in the NNICU with Patrick. Her name is Allison. The doctors were giving her a 10% survival chance at best. It was time to feed Patrick and Allison, so Leo and I stayed back and let Emma and Hyden feed the children."
Daniel took a deep breath before continuing. "As Patrick nursed on Hyden’s gland, Emma could not get Allison to take her bottle of formula. Emma has no product being produced out of her body to give her daughter, so they have her on fake formula. Hyden could not stand it anymore and asked Emma to bring him Allison so that she would be able to partake his extra gland. And boy did she ever go for it! Emma said it was the first time that she saw Allison really feed."
"She drained Hyden’s spare gland and was still hungry. He called me in and handed her off to me. I let her nurse from both sides and soon she had her first full meal."
"Within hours she started to improve. By morning her survival went from a 10% chance to 100% chance of survival. Unknown to us, we were being viewed by Susan, the nurse in charge of the NNICU. She came into the waiting room after it was all done and sat down and talked with the four of us."
"She relayed to us that these were our children and whatever we did to ensure the survival of these precious gifts, she was perfectly fine with it, and would run interference for us if needed. But to not stop feeding Allison the Genman nectar—it was saving that child’s life."
"Allison’s improvement is no less than a miracle, a Genman miracle no less. When grilled by the doctor in charge and assured that she would not be disciplined if she would just please tell the doctor what miracle took place and how this was possible for Allison to turn around so quickly, Susan passed on our secret to the doctor."
"They both came to the waiting room where we were all here waiting for the next visit and feeding. Dr. Aragon told the four of us that he would be monitoring all of Allison’s improvements over the coming weeks. He also said that he would love to include Genman nectar as part of a preemie program to help ensure the survival of at-risk babies in this hospital."
"He said it would be hard getting it past the board because some of them might not take kindly to human children consuming Genman nectar as part of a healing process, but he would give it his best fight." Daniel looked earnestly at both men. "That’s why I brought the two of you here—to forewarn you. There may be consequences to our actions when we decided to save young Allison’s life. We stand by our decision firmly, because there is nothing more precious than a child’s life. No parent should ever lose their child if it can be helped."
