Help! the four Alpha's are obsessed with me.-Chapter 143 A plan to escape Vii
Fear took over his heart as he watched the water rise up; this was what he dreaded the most, but there was no other way to help again. This was him fighting the tears that filled his eyes and trying to remain alert before he got drowned in the raging river.
"Alex, you liar! You promised me that you wouldn’t harm yourself! How could you do that, why you fool, why...." Daniel paddled the canoe, tears unable to stop as they flew freely.
He didn’t get the chance to bid him goodbye, and the push in the water took him by surprise. Where were the others? How could he trace his way back? And he needed to kill that man called Matt; he would gut him with his own hands. No one takes away what belongs to him; it was an atrocious act.
One by one he began reciting it as a mantra as he paddled, those he would end their lives. They were now large in number, but it was the fun of it.
He was supposed to stop soaking his hands in blood since he was about to give birth; it wouldn’t be long anymore before the babies came. But how would that be possible when the world wasn’t safe.
"Nicole, Matteo, Alessandro, Angelo, and that nameless useless doppelganger of mine...." One by one he recited them, called their names for remembrance, before darkness enveloped him as he slept off due to tiredness.
When he woke up, something terrible happened; his canoe sank and he was now under the water. Fear clouded him as he couldn’t breathe.
Underwater wasn’t something he could take; fine, a bathtub was different, but this was another issue. He tried to breathe, but his anxiety wasn’t letting him. He began to slowly get swallowed by the waves and water.
"Somebody help me! Whoever is there, please help..." Daniel screamed, eyes red from the water penetration and mouth gurgling out excess that had filled in and refused to come out.
Then, out of nowhere, he saw a flashback. His father Alessandro walked in when he was bathing.
"What is this..." he asked, looking around the room that was tastefully decorated, walls covered with peach colours, flowers at each corner, and portraits that allured a soft femininity.
"I decided to give my room a total makeover, make it look so beautiful rather than the bland ones it normally has," Daniel replied, feeling so proud of himself. But when he looked at his father’s face, what he saw was a nightmare itself. The man was boiling, and like a storm he rushed over to the walls and began shredding off every single thing he did there.
Starting from the portrait of nature, which he destroyed with his legs, and the paintings which he couldn’t shred so he glared at it. Then came the flowers. It got worse; he took them all and broke the vase on the floor.
"How many times will I tell you that you’re a man? Be one and act like one! Men aren’t pussies and don’t waste time decorating rooms! Or is it that damn omega trait of yours?" He yelled, his voice making the young boy to shift back in terror.
"No, Dad, I am a man, I know, but it’s just a harmless decorative, nothing bad," he stated, but the man gripped his hands tightly before grinning like a mad man.
"I have sworn, Daniel, that before I die I will make you into a complete man, and that’s what I am doing now. It’s for your own good, your complete success, because with this you will only end up useless." He then dragged him by the hand into a bathtub large enough to contain two, but only Daniel was flung into it.
Daniel began to shudder, wondering what his father was thinking about this time. He didn’t know this would anger him; it was a normal thing young people do to their rooms, so why would his be different.
"Dad, I am sorry, I won’t do it again," he apologized as Alessandro began to fill the bathtub with water, making him to flinch as the cold liquid engraved on his skin.
"Haven’t I warned you to stop apologizing? That men don’t apologize! You’re going to be a father one day, marry a woman; how are you going to do that with that girly stunts?" And right before his eyes, he shoved his head underwater, digging his hands deep into his forehead madly and senselessly.
Daniel struggled, cried, and nearly shit on himself till his body turned numb. And when it felt like he couldn’t breathe again, Alessandro let him go, making him gasp for air and cough out water that clung deep into his throat.
"I... didn’t." His father raised a palm in the air and, looking with disgust, walked out of the room. Scampering out of the tub, he rushed to his bed and began crying.
What did I ever do to make him hate me so much? Aren’t I his son? He treats me and Angelo so different, as if we are born differently from separate mother and father. He kept enduring, thinking it would get better, but it only grew from bad to worse; now it was heading to worst.
Coming back to present, Daniel gasped. That began his fear of water; that action of spending close to how many minutes in water without breathing made him trigger an unknown fear. Now it seemed Alex’s sacrifice would go in vain as he couldn’t swim or go further; he was just sinking in.
"You can do it, Daniel. For your baby, for Xylander and for Draven and me. Fight for them and give them the chance to change the world, turn the world around, and don’t get swallowed by it." Alex’s soothing voice had come out, and it made his brain reset immediately.
He was close to sinking completely when he suddenly rose to the top of the river surface and began to paddle with his hands. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
"Okay, Daniel, time to paddle. He believes in you, now believe in yourself. He doesn’t have a hold on you; Alessandro doesn’t dictate your future, you pave way for it yourself." And with it, he began to move through the waters, going forward and forward.
"I’m doing it! I can’t believe I am doing it..." He smiled, even though it was a bitter one, till he could see the shore. It was closing in, and he gasped as his feet got to the ground.
Oh, earth, I love you so much. I can’t believe how much I missed you for a short time...
He fell on the ground, kissing it shamelessly. But as he did that, he remembered the sacrifices he had to make to reach here, and Alex’s condition hit him really hard.
Was he gone, or did he by any way escape?
He would have to hold on to the fact that he escaped. Alex can’t just leave him. It would be okay; soon he would run to him to embrace him fully. It’s just a matter of time and, unexpectedly, he began to feel tired and collapsed right there with drowsiness.
