HELP! These Girls Wants To Kill Me-Chapter 231
The first grade of the Black Tiger lets someone cover their fist in black internal energy, doubling one’s strength.
The second grade of the Black Tiger technique lets one manifest an illusory black tiger that could be used to attack while increasing one’s strength at the same time.
The third and final grade of the Black Tiger Technique lets one turn into a demonic Black tiger themselves, while at the same time, giving one an innate skill of summoning ghosts of people who have died recently in a one-mile radius.
Although the ghosts would lose their memories and wouldn’t even be able to hold a simple conversation, they would all have the strength of the Pulse opening realm.
Perhaps such strength was of no significance against those in the realm of Foundation forging and above, but for mortals, it was a death sentence.
And the priest standing behind Yang Ze, trying to find a way to escape, was a mere mortal.
He might control the black fog and perform some techniques with the help of the black fog, but he was nevertheless a mortal.
He didn’t even have qualification to go against one ghost, much less more than fifty.
Looking at the illusory ghosts hovering quietly in the air in front of him, the priest’s scalp tingled as he hurriedly turned around and rushed towards the exit.
At the moment, he was even cursing his own mother for not giving him an extra pair of legs for running.
Yang Ze, on the other hand, didn’t even turn his head to glance at the priest. Instead, he merely muttered in a soft voice.
"From now on, I shall be the priest of the village."
"Those in favour of me, raise your hands."
The moment he spoke the sentence, Yang Ze controlled the ghosts to raise their hands.
The priest, who was still running towards the exit, couldn’t help but stop as he turned around to look at the Massive Black Tiger in horror.
He remembered the heavenly oath clearly.
{I, Yang Ze, take a heavenly oath to not harm the priest of the village and free him instantly as long as he gives me the missing techniques from the [Ode To Death].}
Usually, a priest would only be chosen by the village chief.
With the death of the girls, there shouldn’t have been anyone to decide this, but who would have imagined that this bastard could even summon the dead?
Even if they were under his control, they were nevertheless true members of the village.
"Good." Yang Ze nodded in satisfaction.
"Then, I shall be the new priest of the village."
Speaking this sentence, Yang Ze slowly turned around, finally glancing at the frozen figure of the priest with emotionless eyes.
"My oath was not to harm the priest of the village."
"Since you are no longer the priest..."
"THEN DIE."
The moment Yang Ze finished speaking, the translucent ghosts of the children around him immediately rushed towards the priest, who couldn’t help but raise the pitch-black gown.
Unfortunately for him, the black fog didn’t seem to have any effect on the ghosts of the children as they simply tore his gown apart like a fragile piece of paper.
"NO...NO...NO..." Seeing his biggest reliance being torn apart without any resistance, he couldn’t help but scream at the top of his lungs.
"I HAVE THE TECHNIQUE."
"IT WILL DEFINITELY REVIVE YOUR LOVED ONES."
"Just let me go, and I will hand it over to you."
Were it before, Yang Ze would have definitely accepted this offer; unfortunately for the priest, he had managed to lose the trust of the perhaps most trustworthy person in this entire world.
Yang Ze didn’t even scoff at this new offer. He merely snapped his fingers, and with it, the ghosts of the children surrounding him pounced upon the old man.
Even though all of them were malnourished children before their death, but now... now they were at the pulse opening realm.
Every single one of them was enough to squash the ’former priest’ to death, much less than fifty.
Without any hesitation, the fifty or so ghosts of children pounced on him and against such a force... the former priest’s outcome was already predictable.
Not to mention he had lost all three of his treasures... the cane, the crown and the gown. Even if he had those three, it was impossible to contend against so many pulse-opening realm ghosts.
In just a few breaths, under the despairing screams, the man was torn into countless pieces.
It wasn’t until his bones were crushed, his blood mixed with the dirt of the cave, and his flesh scattered around like trash that Yang Ze finally closed his eyes. Although only a few minutes had passed since he turned into the black tiger, he felt like an eternity had passed.
He watched quietly as the ghosts of the children hovered in front of him. They had no expressions, no emotions, nothing...
Yang Ze’s eyes were focused on the group of five girls who, even after death, seemed together. He glanced quietly at the group of girls before whispering their names softly.
"Yan-er."
"Xiao Lian."
"Mei Ling."
"A-Zhu."
"QIng Cao."
Muttering every name carefully, he quietly kept on looking at their ghosts, as if wanting to etch them in his memories. He knew perfectly well that this was the last time he was going to see them.
Looking at their emotionless faces, his heart was in turmoil. The shock from what just happened was so much that he was still having a hard time wrapping his head around it.
Perhaps after a few hours, when he sits, he would realise what actually happened and the people that he had spent a few days with were no longer with him.
But till then... being silent was his way of coping.
Yang Ze didn’t cry or display his emotions. Although he partly blamed himself, he knew that even without him, these children were bound to suffer such a miserable fate.
First losing Cang Yue and now losing these children had made his heart as steady as a rock and also more withdrawn.
Yang Ze kept on looking at the ghosts of the children in front of him, wanting to talk to them for one last time, but he knew perfectly well that they were mere husks of their former selves with no intelligence or emotions.
He silently watched them till his internal energy dried up, and he reverted to his human form.
And once he returned to his human form, the ghosts hovering in front of him slowly began to dissipate.
In that instant, a profound sense of grief overwhelmed him. For a moment, Yang Ze simply wanted to rush forward and grab the group of girls, not letting them go. But even if he were to do that, he knew it would be in vain.
The only thing he could do now was to bid them a honorable and heartfelt farewell.
"I have taken revenge for you."
"You can now rest at peace."
No one knew if he was speaking to the children or to himself.
As the ghosts of the children began to dissipate, Yang Ze’s eyes were stuck on one particular figure...
Qing Cao
For a moment, her laughter, that nervous and shy face and her persistence flashed past his eyes once again. Looking at her dissipating figure, he couldn’t help but raise his hand in a daze.
For a moment, he even felt like he was losing his sister once again.
"I want to see what the outside world looks like."
These words that Qing Cao constantly muttered kept on echoing in his ears.
Unknowingly, Yang Ze felt something moist and warm slide down from the corner of his eyes to his face and finally to the ground.
It wasn’t until the ghost of Qing Cao completely disappeared that he finally closed his eyes.
It was only now that he was alone in this vast, empty land that all kinds of emotions that he was previously trying hard to suppress burst out. For a moment, he simply wanted to bawl his eyes out.
But in the end, he somehow managed to hold himself together.
Unknowingly, he felt a sense of exhaustion. For a moment, Yang Ze wanted to give up on everything and just wanted everything to be over. He even had the urge to just head to the village and stay there forever.
Turing around, Yang Ze wanted to head out of this cave, but the moment he took the first step, a figure suddenly appeared in front of him out of nowhere.
Yang Ze just glanced at the newcomer before walking forward, not bothering to even say a word.
"How interesting." The girl spoke in a leisurely voice.
"How many millennials had it been since I saw something this interesting and tear-jerking?"
"Uwwwuuu..." She even wiped the non-existent tears from the corner of her eyes while crying in an exaggerated manner.
"....." Yang Ze looked at her for a moment before asking in a cold voice.
"What do you want?"
Yang Ze’s voice was completely different from how he used to talk.
His voice now was filled with a sense of coldness, pushing people as far away as possible. He had no intention of striking up a conversation with her.
She was the one who took action against him before, forcing him to use the third grade of the Black Tiger Technique, as well as wasting his precious time.
If not for her, perhaps those children would still be alive.
It was already magnanimous for Yang Ze not to take any action against her. Besides... he didn’t want to have a conflict against a complete stranger and a possible Heaven Step powerhouse,
But just because he didn’t want to have a conflict didn’t mean he was afraid. On the contrary, he was in the worst mood imaginable.
If she dared to annoy him, Yang Ze was going to summon a cyclone to tear down this entire damned place.
"You don’t seem surprised by my arrival?" This time, the girl was truly astonished. She was expecting the boy to grovel and flatter her after seeing her fly in the air. But to her dismay, the boy didn’t seem to care about any of it.
"..." Yang Ze didn’t say a word, but his silence was more than enough to speak a thousand words.
"Tch! No fun." The woman clicked her tongue in annoyance as she hopped around Yang Ze for a while before clapping her hands in excitement.
"How about it..." She spoke with a crafty smile. "I am gonna hand you all the techniques."
Before Yang Ze could even say a word, he saw the girl wave her hand as a thick stack of papers appeared in his hand out of the thin air.
"This is?" Looking at the smooth texture of the pages as well as the text written upon them, Yang Ze couldn’t help but narrow his eyes in response.
"How is it?" The girl seemed particularly proud of herself. "These are the pages the old bastard had kept hidden.
"..."
"..."
Yang Ze quietly read the first page of this stack for a moment before folding it and giving the girl a simple nod.
"Thank you."
He didn’t say another sentence besides thanks.
Although he didn’t show it, his cold heart finally had traces of excitement. Just a single glance was enough to tell him that the technique was genuine.
Although he didn’t know who the girl was, where she came from or how she came into possession of the complete technique, he was thankful to her from the very bottom of his heart.
"Well... as long as you like it." The girl shrugged in response before looking around for a moment as her figure disappeared from there.
"Umm?" And just when Yang Ze was wondering where she went, she appeared in front of him once again, this time holding a small, pitch-red skull.
And under Yang Ze’s confused gaze, she simply let out a smile before speaking in a charming voice.
"I think it is about time the two of us have a proper conversation."
