Chapter 1891: Chapter 1693: Settling In (2)

The road up the mountain is a newly paved, straight asphalt road. Even if the tricycle drives fast, it doesn’t affect everyone’s ability to find their way.

After climbing over a few long slopes, and riding a bit further, there was a large expanse of snow-white factory buildings on the small hilltop.

Inside the factory courtyard, there is a building on each side.

"This is our employee accommodation. That single apartment on the hillside over there is also employee housing — but you’ll have to wait until noon when Doctor Guo is done and takes you to stay in town."

"There’s a village bus to and from work every day in the morning and evening, and Doctor Guo covers this cost. Apart from paying for your own water and electricity, there are no other expenses."

What kind of heavenly conditions!

How is this different from working at a unit?

Everyone was immediately satisfied: after all, the biggest economic pressure for contemporary young people is housing.

The bike rode into the factory, and the courtyard was covered with a sunshade net, making the sunlight not as scorching.

The cafeteria was filled with a subtle fragrance of food. Song Tan led them in through the curtain and saw Master Jiang sitting there, scrolling through his phone with one hand while slowly rubbing a clove of garlic.

"Master Jiang, is there any breakfast left?"

Master Jiang didn’t even lift his head: "Nope, what time do you think it is?"

It’s already past 10 a.m., asking for breakfast then is certainly fruitless.

Turning his head to look at the strangers behind her, he chuckled: "New employees again? Haven’t had breakfast? Then lunch is going to be tough. I’ll just make something now—"

Doctor Wu and the others were too polite, plus they did have a little something in the morning, so they weren’t hungry.

Thus, they repeatedly waved their hands: "Not hungry, not hungry. We’re not hungry."

But Song Tan replied with a smile: "Our lunch here is around two in the afternoon. If you’re hungry at noon, just buy something to nibble on in town. The kitchen is big-batch only; opening it specially isn’t convenient."

But seeing them sweating profusely, and knowing there’s no delivery service in town, she ultimately spoke up at the window:

"Do we still have any scallion pancakes left over? Make one for each person, add an egg, and spread some sauce— Can you handle spicy?"

This last question was directed at them.

But then she shook her head first: "Since you’re new, let’s go with the original flavor."

They have a small electric skillet specifically for employees’ minor needs, and pulling it out to make three pancakes was no trouble at all.

Even without Master Jiang’s help, the apprentices swiftly did it themselves.

From across the window, they smiled at them: "You’re in for a treat. These scallion pancakes are our cafeteria’s limited and exclusive dish, made with scallions from our boss’s farm, incredibly savory!"

This down-to-earth homemade dish, although semi-prepared, is clearly different from the pre-made delivery dishes they often ordered.

Everyone nodded vigorously, even if not hungry, they were eagerly anticipating.

Simultaneously, they couldn’t help but feel more affection for this place.

Places that are so considerate to new employees are increasingly rare these days.

This young farm owner, becoming a farm owner at a young age and looking so good — are all the creations of Nuwa these days hexagonal warriors?

And them? Just tossing mud spots halfheartedly?

Overall, they understood that this young boss’s consideration was certainly out of respect for Doctor Guo.

Looking at the meal schedule above, it was clearly to accommodate rural work routines.

But this way, dinner was quite late, almost not catching up...

Song Tan looked over too, evidently a bit concerned:

"I forgot our summer meal schedule."

She only pondered for a brief moment: "Then I’ll talk to your boss later, add 5 yuan to your breakfast in the morning."

Around 3 p.m., lunch was about done, and doctors left work at 5 p.m., according to the bus schedule.

It barely counted as three meals a day.

But even so, the three were extremely delighted!

How could there be such proactive bosses these days, who love clustering so much?

Everyone was more than satisfied, worried that politely declining would pass up a good deal, they felt awkward and finally couldn’t refuse.

The group wandered around in the spacious and clean cafeteria and lingered at the window — it was too fragrant!

They truly lived through tough days too long; how could these scallion pancakes be so aromatic now?

After Song Tan briefly explained, she turned to chat with Master Jiang again:

"Master Jiang, more people are eating. Can you still manage..."

"Pancakes are ready — hot! Here, fold them with this oiled paper, and wrap them."
