Her Dark Desires-Chapter 100: Try For Another Child
Before Zach and Eliana decided to leave Rosehill City, they gave Leo to Jules, who promised to look after him.
"While Eliana tells Jules about Leo’s favorite food, can I speak to you, Zach?" Charlotte asked.
Zach nodded and followed his mother to the kitchen.
"What do you want to talk to me about?"
"A sudden vacation after last night isn’t a good idea." Charlotte stated.
"And why isn’t it a good idea? Helina and Sloane have been arrested and I have tied up every loose corner to ensure it ends in their arrest."
"But still....."
"Mom, I need this with Eliana. We both need this break, away from this city."
"But isn’t a month too much? And what about the company?
"A month is perfect, and Ethan can handle the company." Zach said and checked the time in his watch, "We have to go." He kissed his mother’s cheek and left the kitchen.
"Are you done instructing Jules?" Zach asked Eliana when he saw that Jules was no longer in the living room.
Eliana nodded and asked, "Is there any problem?"
Before Zach could answer, Charlotte replied, "There is no problem at all. Enjoy your vacation, and hopefully you will return with a little Zach in your belly."
Eliana smile fell when she heard that, making Charlotte ask, "Did I say something wrong?"
Eliana forced a smile on her face and replied, "Of course you didn’t."
"Listen, Eliana, I understand you still think of the child that you lost, but it’s been a year and some months, and I think it’s time you and Zach try for another child."
"Mom, that’s enough." Zach said with a warning in his voice.
"You aren’t getting any younger, Zach."
"I’m not even in my thirties, so drop it. Eliana and I have only been married for a year, and she is currently at the peak of her career; a child at the moment will only distract her."
Charlotte glanced at Eliana, who looked and sighed, "You are right, you guys have only been married for a year, but I still wish to become a grandmother before the end of this year."
"Alright, bye, Mom." Zach said and held Eliana’s hand. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
Eliana also said bye to Charlotte before they left the house.
As soon as they entered the car, Zach asked, "Are you alright?"
Eliana smiled slightly at him and said, "I’m fine. It’s obvious that every soon, other people will begin to wonder why we have no child yet."
"Eli."
"Maybe if our marriage becomes two years old or three years old, then everyone will figure out that it is me who can’t give you a child." Eliana said sadly. She looked at Zach with unshed tears in her eyes and asked, "Should we just go back home?"
"No, we are not going back. We are taking our vacation, and I am fulfilling my fantasy of having sex on the beach with you."
"What?" Eliana’s eyes widened at his words, and she could not tell if he was joking or serious.
Zach laughed at her reaction and leaned forward to kiss her briefly. "Can we go now?"
As if under a spell, Eliana slowly nodded her head, and a smile slowly etched on her lips as she saw Zach smile at her agreement. It made her realize that this vacation was not only for her but for Zach too.
She had been noticing the way he barely sleeps lately, and she wanted him to just relax and forget about business.
"Zach, promise me no work."
"I promise. It will just be you and me; no work."
...
Detention Center
Amber sat quietly in the waiting room, and her heart broke as she saw a female officer bringing in her mother with handcuffs.
"Can you uncuff her? Please."
The female officer looked at Amber for a moment before uncuffing Sloane and warning her to behave.
As soon as the officer left, Amber broke down in tears.
"Why are you crying? I’m the one in hand, so shouldn’t it be me crying?" Sloane asked her daughter.
"I can’t believe this happened. Dad is divorcing you through deceit and naming Eliana as his successor. And now you are in jail for conspiring with that woman to kill Jason. But how could you, mom? How could you think of killing Jason? The Lennox family will never let you go."
"I didn’t conspire to kill Jason. I thought I could use Helina’s anger to get rid of Eliana, but I didn’t expect that birch to be one step ahead. I’m sure she was the one who took Helina’s child so that Helina could blame me and then expose the truth."
"It doesn’t matter now, Mom. Everyone knows that you had a hand in Jason’s attempted murder, and instead of sympathizing with you for being divorced through deceit, they are telling Henry that he is lucky to have gotten rid of a problem in his life, and let’s not talk about how Zach humiliated you in front of everyone."
"I will have my revenge for that humiliation." Sloane said coldly as she remembered how she knelt and begged for forgiveness from Eliana.
"Before you think about revenge, you should think of how to get out of this mess. No lawyer wants to take your case, and if the state writes to produce a lawyer for you, then, I assure you, he or she wouldn’t even be willing to seriously fight your case. We need a solution, Mom."
"You think I don’t know that!" Sloane shouted as his breath became heavy and tears started to gather her eyelids, and without much effort, they streamed down her eyes. "I can’t go to prison, Amber. I had nothing to do with what happened to Jason; it was all Helina. She is the only one who deserves to go to prison."
"I will ask Nolan for help; maybe he can..."
"He won’t help. That man is a coward and wouldn’t dare go against top families like the Sanders and Lennox."
"Then what can I do?"
"The only way I can get out is if Helina takes all the blame."
"And would she do that?"
Sloane cleaned her tears and said, "I have an idea. Perhaps Helina would do it if the consequences for her refusal would be suffered by her daughter."
