Her Dark Desires-Chapter 64: DNA Test

Leo was a small and thin frail dog with golden fur but despite him not looking like other healthy dogs, his big puffy eyes were still able to melt Eliana’s heart and that is why she had to look away whenever the dog looked at her because she knew looking at those eyes would stray her from her decision.

After Ryan told her about Zach, she knew Leo couldn’t stay with them. Although it took two days she has finally found a good animal shelter for Leo.

Zachary entered the house and smiled when he saw Eliana already dressed for bed.

"I’m sorry I’m late. Have you eaten dinner?"

Eliana nodded "Go freshen up while I warm your food."

Zach kissed her before going upstairs but Eliana noticed how he did not even spare a glance at Leo.

A few minutes later, Zach came down, and Eliana served him his food.

Zach was about to eat when he suddenly stopped and looked at his wife "What’s wrong?"

"Huh?"

"You look sad and I’m getting the feeling you want to tell me something."

Eliana’s surprised look turned into a soft smile as she replied, "It’s as if you know me so well."

"I’m your husband, I would be disappointed with myself if I didn’t notice your mood. So, tell me, what’s wrong."

"I have decided to take Leo to an animal shelter. You are right, I don’t think I can take care of him. The people at the animal shelter would take better care of him. I have called the shelter and have informed them that I will be bringing Leo tomorrow."

Zachary looked at Leo, who was sleeping in a corner in the living room, and sighed, "What did Ryan say to you?"

"If I had known what happened to you when you were a child, then I wouldn’t have insisted so much on keeping Leo," Eliana said, looking at her fingers as she spoke.

"Leo is frail and currently not good-looking; if you take Leo to the shelter, then he won’t easily be adopted. It might even take years for someone to adopt him so it’s best for him to just stay here. I do not wish to be responsible for a dog’s depression." Zach said was about to continue his food when Eliana suddenly jumped on him

"I love you, I love you, I love you. You are the best, Zach."

Zach chuckled and replied, "Are you that happy to keep him?"

Eliana nodded with a smile and kissed him.

What started as a gentle kiss quickly escalated into a fiery one and ended in a night of passion between the couple.

Sanders Mansion.

"Good morning, Mom," Ryan said with a yawn as he sat down to eat breakfast.

"Taking a leave has made you so lazy. Is this the time you are supposed to wake up?" Charlotte scolded.

"I love you too, Mom," Ryan replied and began eating his breakfast.

"Tell me something, what happened to the cab driver and that Mason guy?" Charlotte asked. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

"It turns out that the Mason guy was Amber’s lover and she was the mastermind behind Eliana’s kidnapping," Ryan replied. "Mom, this sausage is so good, with the way you are feeding me, I’m starting to become scared of leaving this place fat."

"Then stop eating."

"I can’t," Ryan replied with a cheeky smile that also brought a smile to Charlotte’s face.

Charlotte’s smile turned into a soft laugh as she said, "I love it when you think you can distract me, but nice try, though. Now tell me, what did you and your lovely brother do to Mason and the cab driver?"

Ryan looked at his mother and shrugged, saying, "We killed them. Well, Zach did most of the killing while I just had to make sure the body was taken care of."

"Wow, just what I wanted to hear. It feels so good to hear that my sons are murderers."

Ryan could hear the sarcasm in her voice, and his appetite was immediately lost. So much for going back fat.

"If you didn’t want to know then why ask? And we aren’t murderers, it’s not like we go around killing people. We only got rid of trash and I don’t see the big deal about it."

"Of course you don’t. Did you know that Logan found out what happened six years ago?"

"Who is Logan?" Ryan asked, confused, and when he received a stern look from his mother, he immediately realized who Logan was. "Logan, the Mayor, was looking into me? Why?"

"He wanted to get some dirt on my sons to force me to help him win the presidential election." Just remembering it was capable of making Charlotte’s anger rise, but what she didn’t expect was for her son to laugh.

"What’s so funny?" Charlotte asked with a frown.

"Don’t you find it funny that Logan wishes to become the president? He is barely surviving as the Mayor of this city, yet he wants to become the president; what a joke!" Ryan said, chuckling to himself.

"It’s that the only thing you got from what I told you, or did you not hear the part when I said he found out what happened six years ago."

"It doesn’t matter, because I know you will take care of it. And besides, the family is long gone; Zach made sure that no one could find them, so stop worrying and focus on getting yourself a new Mayor; it seems this one has become quite loose." Ryan said and stood up.

"Where are you going?"

"I’ve lost my appetite."

"Hold on. I need you to do something for me."

"If it is to go on a blind date, I will pass. A lunch with a stuck-up princess will drive me crazy at this point." Ryan said, about to leave the dining table.

Charlotte rolled her eyes and held his wrist before he could leave. "It is not to go on blind dates. I need you to do a DNA test between Eliana and Sloane and also between Amber and Sloane."

Ryan looked at his mother and said, "Let me guess, you find Sloane’s protectiveness of Amber strange, right?"

Charlotte nodded and said, "Also, do one between Henry and the girls."

"And how do you expect me to get their DNA? It’s not like I live with them."

Charlotte scoffed and let go of her son’s wrist as she said, "Figure it out; I thought you were good at using your head."

Ryan chuckled in disbelief and watched as his mother resumed eating, he sighed and kissed her cheek before leaving. He had a feeling that today was going to be a long day for him.
