Henry cleared his throat and said, "Not only am I naming Eliana my successor, but I will also be transferring ten percent of my shares to her."

"Ten percent? Dad, you are truly the best." Eliana said excitedly.

Amber, who had stayed silent all these while finally spoke "If you give her ten percent of your shares then what about me? Am I not also your daughter?"

Eliana laughed softly and said "Are you acting dense, or you are just dumb. Even after finding out the truth my family didn’t send you away, in fact they loved you more than they ever loved me, and now you want shares to my father’s company. You are not a child anymore, Amber, isn’t time you find your father. Sure, your mother was a maid but who knows if she got lucky and slept with a rich man, isn’t that how most greedy lowlife like Nina behaves."

"Oh mine, you sound so defensive of a woman who never once acknowledge as your mother. If you feel this is unfair, then go find your father."

Eliana said in anger.

"But why should you be on the street? Or have you forgotten that your beloved Amber is married to Nolan Woods, but I guess you might feel uncomfortable since the two of you are close in age."

"Nolan Woods? Oh my, did they get their daughter married to a man twice her age."

"I once heard that a daughter of the Moore family got married to Nolan, but I always thought it was a rumor."

As whispers continued, Amber face became red with embarrassment, she wanted to leave this place as she felt that all eyes were on her, but she knew that leaving now would only make things worse.

The whispers suddenly stopped when they heard Sloane laughed, they were all curious on what would happen next.

"Now I understand what is happening. You were the one who convinced your father to divorce me, right?"

Eliana shrugged and reply "I do not know what you’re talking about. It is so difficult to believe that the man could no longer stand the sight of you, if his lover isn’t enough proof for you, then I don’t know what could convince you.?

"I refuse to accept this divorce."

"Your refusal doesn’t matter, a judge finalizes your divorce, and it has been so for a year. Accept it and move on."

Sloane chuckled and said, "I must say Eliana, I’m impressed. You got Henry to not only named you his successor but to also give you ten percent of his shares and not only that you convince him to divorce me and I already know how you did it all."

"I still do not know what you are talking about."

"Fine, but that’s enough now. Regardless of how you feel, I am still your mother and my blood flows in your vein, so why don’t we end this drama. Please keep in mind that you are now the daughter-in-law of the Sanders family and you’re behaving like this could bring disgrace to them."

"If my husband isn’t complaining then who are you to complain and did you just call yourself my mother? Name just one time, you have been a mother to me."

"Eliana, I carried you in my womb for nine months and when you returned to us, I sent you to the best schools"

"You sent me to a boarding school because you couldn’t stand the sight of me. Did you ever celebrate any of my birthdays or even once got me a present? When you got me back, and I would wake up every night because of nightmares, did you ever offer to stay with me? Have you ever in your entire life told me that you love me?"

"So is that what this is, some petty revenge scheme because I never told you I loved you. Eliana, have you looked at yourself in the mirror and told yourself the same words you claim that I have never said to you."

"I never told you I loved you because never in my life have I ever felt an ounce of love for you." Sloane said bitterly as she threw the divorce papers at Eliana’s face.

"Sloane, what are you saying?" Henry shouted.

Sloane eyes never left Eliana as she pointed her finger at Henry saying "Even your father a feel no love for you either so why are you taking it out on just me. Just a few days ago, he told me of how he wished you were never born, and now he pretends as if he is the best father in the whole world."

Eliana glanced at her father who immediately looked away to avoid her eyes.

Leon looked at Zach and asked "Things are about to get out of her hand, aren’t you planning to do anything?"

Zach didn’t reply and just continued to watch silently.

"To be honest, from the moment Madam Moore brought you to the house, I couldn’t stand the sight of you. You said I do not love you, but do you think you are easy to love? Do you think Zachary Sanders loves you?
