Chapter 240: Blazren Offered Fists

Blazren stepped forward and faced Zain directly.

"I’ll make it simple," he said, arms crossed. "I want a duel."

Zain raised an eyebrow. "A duel?"

Blazren nodded.

"You want territory? You want to be seen as something more than a rogue force?"

"Then prove it. Not with talk. With strength."

Zain tilted his head slightly, his red eyes watching Blazren closely.

"Interesting. And how do you want to handle this duel?"

Blazren cracked his knuckles.

"Two rounds. One on one. First round: Neuro versus Velvet Demon. Second round: You and Me."

Zain looked to the side, then back at Blazren.

"A tag match, but not at the same time. Fine. Sounds clean. But why those pairings?"

Blazren gave a slight grin. "You’re the leader. I want to see your strength myself. And Neuro—"

He turned to his comrade. "You wanted another shot at her, didn’t you?"

Neuro stood silent for a second, then nodded. "Correct. Last time I lost."

"But now, I’ve reviewed that battle two hundred and seventeen times." He looked toward Zain.

"It won’t happen again."

Zain chuckled low. "You two are serious."

Blazren’s eyes didn’t waver. "You said you respected me. That goes both ways."

"But if we’re giving you sectors, we need to know for sure you can control them. Not just fight. Lead."

Zain gave a nod, slow and calm. "Fair point."

He glanced over his shoulder. "Velra?"

From behind him, the Velvet Demon appeared with her usual smooth stride, arms crossed and jacket fluttering.

"A rematch, huh?" she said with a grin.

"Finally. I’ve been waiting to crack that brain of his."

Zain looked back at Blazren. "Then it’s settled. Two duels. One on one."

Blazren nodded. "Three days. Sunday. No interruptions. No outside help. Just strength versus strength."

Zain smirked. "You’ll get what you asked for."

Velra gave a wink to Neuro.

"Make sure you don’t blink this time. I might be faster than your math."

Neuro didn’t respond, but his visor pulsed once with faint light.

"You won’t leave this time. I’ve adjusted for everything."

Zain turned away, walking a few steps toward the exit, then paused. "Where’s the arena?"

Blazren raised a hand. "Neutral ground. Sector BG-1. It’s abandoned now. We’ll set it up."

Zain nodded without looking back. "Perfect. Don’t be late."

Then he and Velra vanished into the hallway, the silence behind them lingering.

Neuro turned to Blazren. "You sure about this, old man?"

"This isn’t just a spar. If you lose, we give a rogue force legitimacy."

"That’s not something the Hero Association takes lightly."

Blazren stood still, eyes staring at the horizon through the glass wall of the AA-Rank lounge.

"Yeah," he said. "I’m sure."

He turned slowly, meeting Neuro’s gaze.

"Drask is gone. The Beastkin Brood’s done. There’s no other top-tier villain faction left."

Neuro tapped the side of his visor, pulling up sector threat maps.

"Except the Heavenly Demon Sect."

Blazren nodded. "Exactly. They’re the last real force in the underworld."

"But they haven’t attacked civilians. They’ve only hit villains, slavers, and the corrupt."

Neuro frowned. "That doesn’t make them heroes."

"I didn’t say they were."

"But if we can push them into a stable position, make it so they’re not our enemies... that might be worth it."

Neuro crossed his arms and stared at the map. "And if they lose?"

"Then they back off. They lose their claim. No sectors. No negotiation."

Neuro looked at him for a long moment.

"You think Zain’s going to just agree to that?"

Blazren shrugged. "He agreed to the duel, didn’t he? That kid has pride. He wants recognition, not war."

Neuro stared out the window. "You better not hold back."

Blazren gave a half-smile. "Wouldn’t dream of it."

Three days left. The duel wasn’t just about strength but the balance of power.

In the quiet of the Heavenly Demon Sect base, Velra stood beside Zain, arms crossed and her smile sharp.

She tapped her heel against the stone floor and looked at him.

"Master," she said, "to think they actually accepted."

Zain leaned back in his throne, one leg crossed over the other.

His sword rested beside him, untouched. He raised his chin slightly and smirked.

"Of course they did. The Hero Association just survived a full mutant outbreak."

"They’re tired. If we had attacked now, it would’ve pushed them into desperation."

Velra chuckled, brushing a lock of hair behind her ear.

"But instead, we’re getting a duel. And with rules."

Zain nodded. "They don’t want more chaos. Not now."

"And my relationship with Blazren... that pushed things in our favor."

He stood up slowly and walked toward the balcony.

A breeze blew past, making his coat flutter.

"Blazren’s confused. He doesn’t see me as a villain. That hesitation... it opened the door for this."

Velra followed behind him, her eyes glowing with playful excitement.

"So what’s the plan?" she asked. "Are we going to crush them? Humiliate them?"

Zain shrugged. "No. We make it a real fight. Win with strength. No games."

"If we’re taking a piece of this world, we’ll do it with power."

He turned and gave her a small grin.

"Let’s make this duel fun. Push them. Show them what the Sect can really do."

Velra tilted her head, grinning widely.

"And the girls?"

Zain glanced at the training grounds below.

There were dozens of Heavenly Demon Sect members sharpening their weapons, practicing footwork, or sparring under the evening sun.

"Let them know," he said. freeweɓnovel~cѳm

"Three days from now, we show the world exactly who they kneel to."

Velra gave a firm nod and spun around, her voice rising through the corridor with crisp clarity.

"Girls," she shouted, her tone sharp and thrilled, "in three days, we don’t just fight."

"We perform."

"They think it’s a duel?" She smirked. "It’s our stage. And they’re the audience."

Zain’s lips curved into a slow smile as the echoes of her voice faded into the background.

"Let them watch."

"It’s time to show the heroes and the girls that we are the ruler of B Zone."
